(𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐘)
Today is Saturday, I get to sleep in and watch movies with no care in the world and that's exactly not what I'm doing, Tabitha and I decided to get up early and go to a cafe not too far from my house to finish reading the one and only Romeo and Juliet.
And if I'm being honest, I can't get past the last ten pages. And it seems the same way for Tabitha.
"This is the epitome of boring," I mutter and she chuckles.
"Tell me about it," she says before taking a sip of her coffee.
"God, tell me about your love life or something," I shrug, closing the thick book.
She looks up at me with a raised brow before closing hers.
"Well, I've been talking to this girl lately,"
"And before you ask, I'm bi," she tells me and I nod.
"So what's she like?" I question, slightly leaning forward.
"She also lives in Greendale, we were supposed to meet up soon, but she had some stuff going on,"
"But she's our age, she's really sweet, she speaks three languages, her laugh is the cutest, and she's drop-dead gorgeous, " she says with a smile.
"God, you might turn me bi," I joke causing her to laugh.
"Some guys are just confused with their emotions, but it's particularly society's fault," I say.
"Especially with that "boys don't cry" bullshit, I try to help my brother express his feelings because I don't want him to grow up an emotionless asshole," she states.
"Wait, you have a brother?" I question with a raised brow.
"Two actually, one's older and the other's younger," she says.
"I really have to meet your parents soon," I say, I sense her hesitate a bit before speaking.
"Yeah, soon," she smiles.
I'd gotten so deep into reading and now this conversation that I didn't even realise I hadn't touched my food. It looks as though they just brought it here, the only difference would be that it's a bit colder.
Plus I didn't have Tristan waiting on me to finish so I had genuinely forgotten to eat.
"Are you gonna start eating?" Tabitha questions.
"Yeah, sorry I was just thinking,"

"What are you wearing for today?" My mother questions after she just entered my room.
"I was thinking about this outfit," I say showing her the hanger with an oversized tee shirt and some shorts.
"With what shoes?" She questions.
"The boots that go a little under my knees," I tell her and she nods.
"That's fine, just tell Tristan to have you back by twelve," she mutters with a teasing smile.
"We're going at like eight, isn't that a bit late?" I question with a raised brow.
"Oh shush and have fun, also you're visiting your grandparents next weekend," she says just as she exits my room.
"Wait really?" I exclaim.
"Yep,"
My grandparents live in the city, you'd think they'd live in Greendale away from all the noise and chaos but they like the city.
It's their home and I do too enjoy it but a train passes by their house every day at approximately nine-thirty, which wakes everyone up.
They call it their personal alarm.
Grace normally goes every weekend and I go whenever school is just light or not as stressful as usual.
My parents work in the city, so they visit them almost every day after and before work, so it's just me that's the black sheep.
My phone suddenly rings which knocks the thoughts out of my head, I walk over to my desk before looking at the caller ID.
It's Joshua.
Some nerves he has after treating me like an outcast.
I answer the phone before placing it on my ear.
"Hello,"
"Hey, Olivia I need to talk to you," he tells me.
"You have five minutes," I mutter.
"Firstly I wanna say I'm sorry for treating you the way I did, I just wasn't in the right mind," he says.
"I shouldn't have reacted like that, so I just wanna say I'm sorry,"
"I also want to tell you that," he pauses before taking a breath.
"I wanna tell you that-" the line beeps a bit indicating that someone else is calling me.
"Joshua, give me a second Tristan's calling me," I mutter.
"Can't he wait?" He questions.
"Not really we're supposed to go somewhere, I'll call you back really quickly," I say before hanging up.
I answer Tristan's call and place him on speaker.
"Hey,"
"Why'd you take so long to answer, I could have graduated and had eight kids by now," he jokes causing me to roll my eyes playfully.
"Joshua called to apologize for his behaviour," I say.
"Oh that's good," he states.
"Is that all he said?" He inquires.
"He was about to say something else but you called, speaking of which, what did you need?" I question.
"I just wanted to hear your voice," he says and I feel my face heat up, I try to ignore it to the best of my abilities.
"Well, you could've just come by," I tell him.
"I would, but I have a few things to do before we go out," he states.
"Okay Mr Responsibilities," I mutter before hearing a low chuckle coming from his side.
"Do you have plans this weekend?" I question.
"Not yet why?" He questions.
"Do you mind coming with me to my grandparents," I state.
"Sure, the whole weekend?" He questions.
"Yeah,"
"Okay no worries," he says and a small smile forms on my lips.
"Thanks,"

Tristan opens the door before helping me step up into the car allowing me to take a seat in his jeep.
Soon after he enters the car and starts the engine. I still don't know where we're going.
He was dressed differently, he had up a short-sleeve button-up shirt with black ripped jeans. It was nothing extravagant but a simple change like this made him look ten times hotter.
Veins followed from his fingertips straight to his forearm and he had a few rings on his fingers.
"Where are we going?" I question. He glances over at me with a small smile.
"It's a bit of a bar or some would say speakeasy," He says.
"What is that a strip club?" I question and he laughs humorously.
"It's where people perform mostly, it's in the city and it can be a lot of fun," he says.
"I'll be the judge of that," I say with a small smile.
"I actually don't go in the city much," I speak.
"Why not?" He questions and I shrug.
"People around those areas are different," I tell him and he nods.
"I know what you mean, but no one can live their life without a little bit of difference,"
"Says you, the man who only has hoodies in his closet," I say and he chuckles lightly.
"I'm not into changes, I like to keep things simple but I change things once in a while," he says.
"Like the lavender on your hoodies?" I question and he chuckles lightly.
"You actually smell it?" He questions and I nod.
"I mean I'm always laying in your chest how wouldn't I smell it,"
"It's a nice scent though, don't change that," I say as I watch a small smile form on his lips, slowing those deadly dimples.
"I won't,"
Tristan soon parks the car and turns off the engine. He climbs out his side before walking over to my side where he opens the door, before helping me out carefully.
Maybe it wasn't my best decision to wear these knee-high boots.
He closes the door behind me and takes his guitar out of the back before locking all the doors.
"I thought you said you weren't playing tonight?" I say with a questionable expression on my face.
"I'm sure yet, I just brought it in case," he says. I nod and soon we both find our way into the building.
Surprisingly it doesn't smell like beer and weed, it smells normal. Tristan finds a place for us to sit and that's exactly what we do before a waiter comes up to us.
"Can I get you guys some drinks?" He questions and I look towards Tristan.
"Do you want anything?" Tristan questions, his eyes already on me as I shake my head.
"No thanks," he says and the waiter nods.
"The show starts in a few minutes do have a good time," he tells us and we nod.
"Thanks again," Tristan says before he walks away from us.
Tristan runs his fingers through his curls slightly messing it up, "Are you okay?" I question and he nods.
"Yeah, just a bit tired," he tells me and I nod.
