"I have a plan,"
Even though Tabitha and Kate are constantly listening to me act like a complete moron, they do let me finish.
"What if I text them all separately, force them to stay in one room and become friends again,"
Kate blinked at me rapidly as if I'd just lost my mind.
"Have you gone mad?" Tab asks.
"I think that's what happens when you go four days without-"
I warn her, "Katelyn, don't finish that," and she puts up her hands in protest.
"I detest knowing that I'm the cause of things being so fucked up, but I still want everyone to be friends.,"
Tabitha laughs as Kate murmurs, "Everything but you."
I give them a brief moment of my whole attention, which causes Tabby to clear her throat.
She murmurs, "Whatever you pick, we'll back it even if it's the stupidest shit alive."
"Thank you," I tell her and they laugh.
I feel the energy shift as Kate sits up and asks, "How have you been handling the break-up?"
"I'm fine, Kate," I reassure her.
I wasn't truly being who I was, but since I've been lying about everything else my entire life, what's another thing?
"Are you certain?" She asks once more.
I nod and then take a seat on the bed between them.
"The first days are the hardest," Kate says. "I just wanna ensure that you're okay,"
I admit that I'm appreciative and say, "I know, but if you guys want to help, be there when I get them together, I'd be less stressed."
"We'll be there, promise," Tab says.
Immediately after hearing a knock on the door, I responded that it was open.
My mum says as she peeks into the room carrying a tray of chocolate chip cookies. "They're fresh out of the oven,"
My mother gives them to Tabitha as she stands up, saying "Thank you."
My mother whispers, laughing, "Make sure she doesn't watch ten seasons of Love Island."
I respond, "I heard that, and I will."
She laughs once more before closing the door and leaving.
As she places the cookies on the table, Tabitha adds, "Back to your stupid idea."
"How are you even going to get Chase to agree to go anywhere with you,"
I tell her, "I don't know, but I'll work something out. But first, I'm texting Tristan."

The doorbell rings, startling everyone. "Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea," I say
"Well, it's too late now," Tabitha says, opening the door.
It's Tristan.
"Olivia said there was an emergency," he says, turning to face me and Katelyn behind Tabitha.
"Just come inside," Katelyn says, and he takes a step inside, allowing Tabitha to close the door.
"What was the emergency?" He enquiries.
"Just shut up, you'll find out soon enough," Tabitha says as I stammered on my words.
"You okay?" he asks as he takes a seat next to me on the couch.
Tristan isn't easy to deceive, and I'm sure he doesn't think I'm all right, even though we've talked about it. But I have to look at the big picture, and I hope he does as well.
He looks directly into my eyes, searching for emotion, but I break eye contact and turn to face Kate, who is looking straight at us.
Just then the doorbell rings once more. "I'll get it," I say.
I rush towards the door and hurriedly open it.
"What the hell is he doing here," Joshua fumes as soon as I open the door.
"You said you wanted to talk, fuck this," he says, but I grab his arm.
"Please, Josh," I plead.
He gazes at me and then yanks his arm away from me before walking inside.
"This is going to be a long day," I whisper to myself.
Josh sits across from Tristan, and they engage in a staring contest.
"Why are we here?" Tristan inquires, breaking the silence.
"I just wanted us to talk about things," I explain.
"Alright talk," Josh says.
I get up from my seat and pace back and forth. I can't sit and talk right now without feeling the need to move,
"I know I messed up your friendship, and I wanted to try to fix it," I explain.
"Fix it," Joshua scoffs.
"You can't fix this; he broke my trust by telling me things that made me reconsider even trying to get with you while fucking you behind my back."
"Because every girl you see, you think you can get, or did you seem to forget you liked Tabitha a few weeks ago?" Tristan rants, "God if it wasn't for Chase you probably would've liked Katelyn too,"
"Oh, don't be so arrogant, you liked her because I did," Josh says.
"Of course, that's why I spent so much time in the hospital with her after Chase and her split up," Tristan exclaims.
"You couldn't grow some balls and talk to her because Chase didn't want you to, so if you thought you liked her, I wonder what fucking hate looks like to you,"
Joshua's fist clenches briefly before releasing it quickly.
"I'm sorry if I betrayed your trust; I understand, but you couldn't even think for yourself," Tristan says.
"You had your eye on every single girl, and I just assumed you'd get over her,"
The doorbell rings again, and I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding in as Kate answers it.
"Oh great, let's add more fuel to the fire," Tristan says as Chase enters.
"What the fuck is this sad excuse for an intervention?" Chase mumbles as he collapses onto one of the couches.
"Please shut the fuck up," Tristan says, grabbing Chase's attention.
"Oh what happened, Rich boy can't stand the slum," Chase teases.
Tristan's teeth are clenched, and I can basically see him biting his tongue.
"Like the rest of us, we're not surprised you two didn't make it, it's in the pack do it and leave, simple," Chase says.
That hurt deep down, but I couldn't take anything they said seriously, especially if it came from the mouth of a heartless man, who thinks with nothing but his penis.
"Oh, fuck off don't drag me into that," Joshua says.
"Really, as if you wouldn't have done the same fucking thing, maybe grow a pair and admit some of the shit you did hm," Chase rants.
"And what have you admitted to, you can't even tell Olivia you cheated on her multiple times," Tristan retorts.
Chase looks at him with a smirk, "You didn't have to cheat because her legs were wide open for you weren't they?"
Tristan glances at Chase,"Be careful with your next words Chase, I might not be able to disconnect my fist from your face,"
"God, I wish I had your life, threatening people who actually have problems because you just can,"
Tristan looks at him with knitted brows and laughs, "You think I have no problem, maybe it looks that way because I don't go making irrational ass decisions because something has turned my life upside down,"
"Am I hanging out with gangsters and drinking my life away, because of my fucking problems, no, but they're there, they are fucking there,"
"Oh, your brother, where is he really?" Chase inquires.
"Chase shut up, man," Joshua adds.
"No seriously, where is your brother Tristan," he continues.
For some reason, I can't take it any longer; I don't want any furniture shattered, and most importantly, I don't want anything significant to come out.
"Enough!" I exclaim. "I brought you all here to discuss things out, not to fight,"
"Talk things out," Chase scoffs. "Then why are these two dipshits here?"
"Tabitha and Kate are here to assist me with you guys if you need to know," I inform him.
I look at Tristan, and his face is utterly blank; it's as if he shut down, as if what Chase said truly got to him.
"Let's just get this over with," Tristan mumbles, "I'm going for some fresh air," he says before standing up and walking to the back patio.
When I glance at Tabitha and Katelyn, they both nod as if they know what I'm going to ask.
I give them a little nod then follow Tristan outside.
"Oh wonderful, the Princess needs his help," Chase muffles before starting to clap.
"Chase quit being a jerk," Kate says, rolling her eyes.
"How can you still be a jerk after everything you've done?" She inquires.
He abruptly stops talking, and she shakes her head.
