I spent my last day with Olivia; the day was filled with enthusiasm and smiles until it sank in that I'd be leaving soon.
The second we were no longer doing anything to keep our minds busy is when it all came down like heavy rainfall on a cold night.
With Olivia's head on my chest, her small fingers play with the strings of my hoodie as I gently rub her back.
We'd just come back from the diner and the deafening silence was nothing compared to the various excuses in my head.
Reasons for me not to go, yet I know if I had to shine light to any of those thoughts Olivia would shoot them down.
The beat of my heart is terrifyingly fast and I can't seem to drown my thoughts, that is until she speaks.
"I feel selfish having you all to myself when you have other people to say goodbye to," she tells me.
A low chuckle vibrates in my chest, "There's no one else I'd rather be with right now," I tell her.
She gazes up at me with a sad yet assuring smile, she's happy to see an opportunity for me to pursue my dream but sad to see me go. And I get it because I feel the exact same way.
"I'm sure I can list a few people," she focuses her eyes back on my black hoodie.
I shake my head, "No, you can't,"
I notice the tears spilling from the corner of her eyes, she tries to wipe them away before I can notice but it's too late because my hand is already cupping her face and lifting her chin so she looks up at me.
"I'll be back before you know it," I say.
I lean down and place a kiss on her lips which she returns immediately, soon another hot tear leaves her eyes, rolling onto my thumb as I part our lips.
I wouldn't know how to do a long distance relationship even if it's only for a few months, when Olivia and I broke up it was difficult not to crave her touch especially when she was right in front of me.
Despite it all, I know we'll survive it. Distance does make the heart grow fonder after all.

"You asshole," Kate mutters as she lifts one of the bags I'm taking with me, "I almost broke a damn nail,"
"I told you it was heavy," I say causing her to roll her eyes before mumbling something about underestimating a women's strength.
After Wyatt sees her struggles he stops at the top of the stairway and asks, "May I be of any assistance?"
Kate gives in and nods finally handling over the bag to Wyatt who takes it to the empty car.
I lift the suitcase off the floor as I walk down the stairs, my mom and father wait at the bottom. When I reach them he gladly takes the luggage from me and hands it to Wyatt.
Though he's getting better, he's still an asshole.
"I can't believe it's time already," my mom says, sniffling a bit as she engulfs me in a tight embrace.
"My big boy's ready to chase his dream," she says.
Just as I go to response, a familiar voice sounds from the door, "It's about time," Dante mutters.
My brows furrow in a bit of disbelief,"I thought you wouldn't make it,"
He had told me about some job interview he had a while ago, unfortunately it had landed on the same day I had to leave.
Obviously I told him go for the interview because he wants to become more independent, he wanted to depend less on our father's money and the shelter he provides over our head.
"You think I'd miss my little brother heading for the stars?" He questions as he grabs my shoulder firmly and use his other arm to hug me.
I enclose my arms around his back as he ruffles my hair, "I'm gonna miss you," he says.
He lets me go finally allowing the air to flow back into body. I take a deep breath and look at everyone standing in front of me.
I feel special, knowing I have all of them waiting for me to get back even before I leave.
I'll miss them a lot more than I anticipate, maybe even my father.
My phone buzzes in my pocket and I ask to be excused for a bit. As I answer it, I walk away from the group and into the living room.
"Stop smoldering your family with kisses and get your ass down here," Chase says in my ear and I roll my eyes as I bite back the urge to tell him something.
"I'll be there in twenty minutes," I say before pressing out the phone.
When everyone settles, I get a drop with Kate and Dante to the airport, my mom instigated that they go instead of her and my father.
I didn't insist otherwise but I knew thats the reason behind the extract long hug and kiss on the cheek.
I greet Chase and Joshua at the entrance and I quickly tell Dante and Kate goodbye before making my way inside.
We were instructed to go to Delta Airlines but just as we go to join the queue a man in a suit stops us.
"Chase Miller, Joshua Hart and Tristan Hendrix?" He questions.
The use of our full names take us by surprise but I nod in response.
He smiles a bit before gesturing for us to follow him so we do.
"My name is Steven, I've been given specific instructions to take you guys to the private jet," he says and my brows furrow as I look back at the two boys behind me.
Where was this in the email?
Before we get outside, one of the employees take our suitcases and wishes us a safe flight which we all thank him for.
Steven, stops at a small plane and steps to the side before gesturing for us to enter which we do.
As we enter, we've faced with several spacious seats, they're two four seaters around a table and on the opposite side of each are two chairs facing each other close to the windows of the plane.
The seats are all tan and the wood used to engrave the interior is nothing but perfectly designed. The glossy finish and the rustic look is absolutely stunning.
"I thought they were a small record company," Joshua says as he flops down onto one of the seats.
"Goddamn that's soft," he mutters causing me to chuckle a bit as he lays across both of the seats by the table.
I take my seat opposite him as Chase slips in beside me.
"This might just be the best decision we've made," Chase says and I can't disagree with him.
As soon as we die down, who I assume is the pilot comes into the plane, he wears a black hat which matches his pants and a white button up shirt with the classic pin and a long black tie. The typical pilot attire.
"Hey guys, my name is Justin and I'll be your pilot for your trip to Los Angeles," he says, "I'll get you guys there safely and intact but I need to go over the protocols before we can take flight,"
We nod and soon he begins explaining where everything is and how to use it, it's not much different from the procedures of a normal plane but there are some differences.
After he finishes explaining, he dips his hat a bit and makes his way into the pilot seat.
I take a deep breath as the stairs finally close, the boys and I buckle up just as Justin takes off the runway.
"We've doing it boys," I say, "It's real,"
Chase nudges my shoulder and smiles a bit, "It's about damn time,"
