Chapter 15: Self Doubt

Looking up from the fringed note that he had found stuck between the aged cracks of his locker, Simon sighed in disappointment. His date had moved away, along with his worth wild crush, and chance of actually not dying alone. Biting his lip, Simon quivered, regretting his choices. His actions, and everything he has done.

Immediately, Simon crumpled up the piece of thin paper in his hand, throwing it at the wall. What would he do now? Simon's eyes burned with a sensation of regret and doubt. The bell rung, breaking the boy from his thoughts. Students passed him, leaving for home. He looked up. Only to see everyone as a black silhouette. Each pair of eyes he saw, crossed out by white. He couldn't recognize anyone.

Grabbing his book bag, Simon trudged out of the school building. Heading straight for home. He didn't care about taking the bus. It didn't even cross his mind at the moment. You don't get what all this is about. YOUR WRAPPED UP IN YOUR SELF DOUBT! ITS PATHETIC!

Simon shook his head, pushing past the front door and straight up to his room. Without realizing it, he dropped his book bag and just stood in the middle of his room. Tears burned his eyes. They fell to the floor, streaming down his face, and staining his cheeks. It seemed each tear insulted him. You're alone. You're on your own. All your friends left you because of it. You're pathetic. Worthless.

Suddenly his phone went off, as he wiped his eyes. Taking out his phone, there a background picture of everyone larping. Simon opened his phone hesitantly, looking at the text that was just sent to him. 'Hey Simon! I wanted to know how you're doing?' The text was sent by Y/N. The pale boy sighed, texting back. 'I've been doing fine, a bit shaken.' As he sent it, he saw a text get sent back immediately. 'You should be dead.'

Simon shook his head, reading the text again. 'You should come over then! Me and Cory are gonna get Toby to come over and play video games!' Simon thought about it. Then wiped away his last tears. 'I can't. I have to do something important.' The little dots popped up, staying there. Then leaving. Then they came back with a text. 'Alright then. Have fun with that important thing!'

Simon texted a thumbs up, then tossed his phone on his bed. He inhaled, taking in some pride. Blocking out the doubting thoughts he held inside. Simon took off his suspenders, fixed his hair to be more shaggy and messy, yet good. He fixed his glasses, taking off his bow tie. The pale boy grabbed his phone, and nodded to himself slightly. As he walked out the door to his room and out of his house.

There, as he left, was a picture remaining on his bedroom desk. The frame was sleek, and clean. While the picture was more memorable and beautiful than the frame itself. Smiling at the camera, were two bright smiles of two best friends. Gertrude, the short female that she was, was sitting on top of the tall boy's shoulders. She smiled, making a piece sign with her hand, sticking out her tongue in a childish manor.

Simon smiled brightly, a big toothy grin on his face. As he proudly held up his best girlfriend on his shoulders. Nothing could break their bond. At the time, that was.

Guess who's not dead? Me! That's who! Anyway so sorry this is short but I like cliffhangers! Anyway don't forget to leave a like! And to comment down below, have any of you had any serious self doubt? And what about? I mean if you don't want to! You don't have to tell me!

I mean, me being myself, I've had doubt about my flaws. Knowing that this one person would never love me, the same way I love them. I actually told them the other day, and they haven't come up with an answer, yet I'm not pushing their answer! Because it's theirs. And no I'm not saying who it is, they know who they are.

But anyway! With that said I will see you all! In the next chapter, BU-BYEE!!!
