Chapter 28: Situation

The burning stadium cleared after 7-8 hours of clearing the fire. A lot of emergency services came to help the people who were stuck inside the stadium. The news reporter was also there to filmed and update the nation. It was the biggest tragedy that happened at an Idol's concert.

Hoseok, Jimin, Yoongi, and Namjoon were watching those stretchers from the ambulance, waiting to see Jin and Jungkook's situation. 178 deaths still counting and 10,874 people who got injured and yet still counting. There are 50,000+ fans who came to the concert.

"Where are they?" Jimin mumbled, legs shaking due to nervousness.

"Jin hyung!" Hoseok yelled.

They immediately went to Jin who was held by two medical personnel.

"Are you okay? Where's Jungkook?" Jimin asked.

"Of course, I'm fine, I'm worldwide handsome." Jin snickered, his feet got stuck on the metal post of the stage when he tried to look for Jungkook and V.

"Don't worry, he's fine, he can't keep his mouth shut when we saw him, he asked us who's the worldwide handsome for 50 times."

Jimin giggled and the others sighed in relief.

"Anyway, we have to heal his wound and to see if there's a fracture on his feet." The medical personnel uttered.

"Sure, thank you." Namjoon said, bowing his head.

"Move, move!"

They heard someone yell, they saw the medic, pulling the stretcher with unconscious V laying there.

"That's V" Yoongi muttered.

They watched the medic bring V inside the ambulance. While Yoongi roamed his eyes to look for Jungkook.

"Move away!"

Another yelled again, and then, there's Jungkook with blood on his forehead, lips almost black since he was dying. 

"Get out! This guy got shot we have to operate him!"

Their eyes widened when they heard about it and saw Jungkook's situation. The medic pushed the stretcher in the ambulance, pumping Jungkook's heart and setting the oxygen and dextrose.

"Let's go, we have to check Jungkook!" Yoongi told, running to his car.

They immediately followed Yoongi, getting inside the car.

It happened again, the painful memories from the past occurred once again. They didn't make it even in their future, did they?

It looks like destiny doesn't want them to be happy. Maybe, they meant to meet but didn't mean to be for each other.

Thinking of it made his tears fall in his eyes even though his eyes were closed.

"V, are you awake? Are you crying?"

He heard a worried voice around him, he just sobbed letting out his pain.

"V, open your eyes, look at me." Jun uttered, shaking him up.

V can't open his eyes, he just doesn't want to. He wasn't ready to face the reality. He was scared of everything.

"If you're afraid, everything's alright. You're safe now, they caught the shooter. The police tracking the IP address who tried to kill you. You don't have to worry." Jun reassured him.

V opened his eyes were now brimming with tears.

"H-hyung nim, tuh-they died because of me. I-I can't face it, I-I shouldn't do a concert, this shouldn't happen, hyung. This is my fault, I-I felt like I killed them." V explained with tears falling in his eyes.

"It's not your fault, it's an accident. We didn't know that it will happen. Don't blame yourself about it, you're also a victim here." Jun stated.

"Huh-how? How can I think about that? I saw, I saw how they died. They attempt to run away but they were too late. The guards who protected me, I know it's their job but they also have life, hyung. They protected me even though they can escape that time." V cried.

"V--"

"Why? Why I'm still alive? It's my fault, hyung, it's my fault! I don't have a family, I'm the target not them!" V cried, interrupting Jun.

"We can't do anything about it, Taehyung, this already happened. We can't go back to changing everything. Whoever did this was jealous because of your success. They will pay for it, no matter what happened. For now, we have to apologize to the family of the victims. That's all we can do." Jun explained, wiping his tears.

"Wuh-where's Jungkook? I-Is he safe? How is he?" V asked when he remembered Jungkook.

"I heard he's in room 304, but I don't know what his condition is." Jun replied.

"He got shot instead of me, hyung, please let's go to him, I'm worried." V wept.

"But you can't stand up, your legs were injured." Jun stated.

"I-I don't care, I-I want to see him. I-I want to know if he's okay, please hyung." V pleaded.

"Fine, I'll set the wheelchair for you." Jun sighed, setting the wheelchair.

He helped V to stand up, carefully putting him in the wheelchair with his dextrose. Jun led V in Jungkook's room, they saw Namjoon and Yoongi outside.

"Hyung, Jungkook?" V inquired with teary eyes.

"He's inside, you can check him." Namjoon replied.

He opened the door for V, V got inside, his nervousness lessen when he saw Jungkook sitting on the hospital bed with a book in his hand. With injured legs, V stood up making Jungkook worried, he was limping going to Jungkook. He hugged Jungkook tightly, crying on his shoulder.

"Jungkook, I'm sorry." V sobbed, snuggling his face on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Shush, don't cry, I'm fine now." Jungkook assured.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault. I'm sorry." V wailed.

"It's not your fault, It's my choice to save you. I'm just late to come, you shouldn't get hurt." Jungkook replied.

"Tuh-thank you for saving me, I-I thought you left me too. I-I thought it will happen again. I'm so scared, Jungkook." V admitted.

"You don't have to be scared, I'm here, I will always protect you no matter what happened. I will stay at your side. I'm glad to see you are fine, love." Jungkook smiled, wiping V's tears away.

V leaned on Jungkook's touch, he felt comfortable and safe at the same time.

"I want to tell you, I know what you are saying last night. I understand now before I passed out. I saw everything that happened in the past. I'm scared because I thought we'll die again like what happened in our past life. But I'm glad, that you save me and this time, we succeeded to change our past. Thank you, Jungkook. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you, my prince." V stated.

Jungkook cupped his cheeks, caressing his bread.

"I'm glad you finally realized, my love." Jungkook smiled.

Jungkook leaned towards him, V closed his eyes waiting for their lips to touch. Jungkook smiled, pecking his lips.
