Chapter 7: Left

Taehyung left the palace in the evening so it will be less suspicious, he was carrying his basket bag and looking for the Eunuch who will help him.

"You're here, come and follow me." Eunuch Oh uttered when he spotted Taehyung.

Taehyung nodded his head, he followed after him. When they were outside of the palace, they saw two guards waiting for them.

"They are the ones who will help you to go to the place that Queen told you. Just follow them, understood?" Eunuch Oh added.

Taehyung nodded his head, the two guards started to walk first and Taehyung followed behind them.

"I'm sorry." Eunuch Oh mumbled, he was guilty knowing what's the truth of Queen's plan.

He doesn't want to agree with her plan but he doesn't have any choice but to do it.

Taehyung and the two guards were walking in the woods, he was blindly following them even though he doesn't know where they are going.

They were in the middle of the forest, it's so dark and he can only hear their footsteps with the swords dangling. The birds chirping and the cold wind passing through his skin.

Suddenly, they stop while they were walking. Taehyung confusedly stops behind them. They turned around, glaring at Taehyung. Taehyung felt a lump on his throat, his feet froze in his place while looking at them. He saw that they slowly pulling out their swords. He slightly moves backward wanting to escape from them.

Meanwhile, Eunuch Oh turned around and get inside the palace. He closed the gate so no one will get inside. But when he looked in front of him, he felt the sharp sword on his neck. His eyes widened when he saw the masked prince standing right in front of him. He can see the raging eyes of the prince, glaring at him as if he was ready to kill him.

"Where did you bring my servant?" Jeongguk sternly asked sending a shiver down to Eunuch Oh's spine.

Eunuch Oh was shaking nervously, he was avoiding the masked prince's eyes.

"I-I don't know what are you talking about, prince." Eunuch Oh nervously responded while looking down.

He hissed when the sword pressed on his neck, he can feel the blood dripping out on his neck. It was stinging.

"You dare to lie on me, I can kill you right now and I won't hesitate to do it. Answer my question, where did you bring my servant?!" Jeongguk exclaimed while gritting his teeth.

Eunuch Oh knelt down on the ground.

"I-I apologize, prince, I-I don't want to do it but Queen threatened me! I-I begging you, please don't kill me." Eunuch Oh pleaded.

Yet, he felt the sword stab the ground, near his left cheek. His eyes were wide, it was approximately close to him.

"Stop rambling! Tell me where did you bring him?!" Jeongguk repeated.

"I-In the woods, prince, tuh-they will kill him!" Eunuch Oh replied honestly.

He was waiting for the prince to respond but he just heard the footsteps going away from him.

Taehyung ran away from them, he was panting heavily since the basket bag he was holding was heavy. He kept on running not knowing where his feet could bring him. Tears were forming in his eyes, scared of what might happen to him.

He can hear them following him, he looked behind him and saw they were near. He was shaking while crying, he know his scream won't help either since no people is surrounding them.

He was pushing the bushes away to hide and block them but he know he had to go back inside the palace because he was much safe in that place.

He was losing his hopes not until he saw a familiar figure coming on his way.

"Prince!" Taehyung screamed while waving his hands.

Jeongguk spotted him but before he can go near at him. Taehyung suddenly spat out blood from his mouth, he was slowly falling to the ground. He ran towards him to help him, he saw an arrow on Taehyung's back. He looked in front of them and saw two guards with swords and arrows. He gritted his teeth, laying Taehyung on the grassy ground for a while by his front on the ground.

They ran away knowing who it was, they were familiar with the prince's mask that's why they didn't hesitate to run away since everyone knew how skilled the prince was.

Jeongguk followed them, he was at them and badly want to kill them. He threw his sword exactly on the first guard on his back. The second one looked at him and tried to shoot him with an arrow but he skillfully avoided it. The second guard tried to run again away from him while the first guard already fell lifeless.

He grabbed the sword and threw it exactly on the second guard's head. Now, they were dead. Had walked near to him, he stepped on that guard's back, picking up his sword.

He went back to Taehyung, carrying him. He goes back to the palace as if nothing happened in the woods. While walking in the halls, he accidentally met the Queen. He glared at her, clenching his jaw. The Queen seems to be mad at what she saw.

"Eunuch Han, call the doctor right now." Jeongguk ordered.

Eunuch Han bowed his head, leaving them. The servants opened the wooden door which was leading to Jeongguk's room.

"You'll regret this, mother. If something happened to my servant, you'll be the next target. I won't hesitate to do it like how you did to him." Jeongguk sympathized and got inside his cabin.

The Queen's hands balled in a fist, glaring at the masked prince. The servants surrounding her can hear her teeth gritting. Yet, she was nervous knowing how serious the masked prince was in what he said. The prince wasn't lying on his words, whatever he said will be real.
