The pain from your lower stomach continued to make itself present. You realized that Whitebeard noticed your small whimpers and cries and that only made you try to be more quieter. The problem was that you didn't want to be seen as a weakling. You might be pregnant but you still had your pride.

However, the pain seemed to grow stronger as the minutes passed and you knew that you won't be able to stand anymore. The only option left was to go to the medical bay and see what's wrong. Losing the baby was your worst nightmare as well as losing Ace. You didn't want to lose any one of them. Hoping for the best, you explained the situation to Whitebeard and went to the medical bay. On your way, you tried your best to walk as sneaky as possible so that you won't be spotted by marine and get into an unnecessary fight.

Unfortunately, your stealth skills weren't your best attribute and when a marine spotted you, you grabbed the nearest weapon and attacked the marine. The guy didn't go down easily as both of you were fighting for your lives. Fortunately, you somehow managed to win the fight as you were bearing an insupportable pain. Fearing that you just worsen the situation, you walked as fast as you could towards the medical bay.

Once you were in front of the door, you noticed that things were too quiet for a battlefield. You thought that it was strange for a medical bay to be this empty, after all, this was war; the injured ones had to be treated somewhere and the place that Pops and the others decided was here. You furrowed your brows as you looked around. No sign of anyone.

You held the weapon, that you fought with minutes ago, closer to you as you stepped into the room. No doctor and no patient were to be found. This seemed strange and that only made you worry even more. The pain was sharper and more consistent and you had no doctor to treat you. The sound of the door shutting behind you made you jump and draw your weapon towards the door, thinking that someone was behind you.

You almost let out a sound of relief as you found no one standing behind you. But those few seconds of peace were over once a hand covered your mouth and held you tight so that you won't run. You struggled your way out of that person's arms. The man let out a cry as you bit one of his fingers and stepped on his foot. You were surprised to find Squard as your attacker.

"What the hell Squard!" You yelled. He quickly shushed you as he pointed at the door. You noticed that there were some shadows lurking around the door. You shut up immediately and drew your weapon once again towards the door. Minutes later, the shadow disappeared and you let out a sigh of relief. You turned towards Squard, who was sitting at the moment on the ground. "What are you doing here?" You asked as you walked towards him. "Pops was asking about you. Didn't you hear the orders?" You finished.

"Oh, I did." Squard said as he stood up. You found his answer very strange, even for Squard. "So... where's everyone?" You asked. Squard took a step closer to you and then he replied. "They changed the medical's bay location due to the fact that the marines found this place." Your eyes widened. "How did they found this place?! This was the most secure area! There's no way they would've found this place unless someone betrayed us and worked with them." You said. "And why didn't any one of you reported the issue to Pops?! You know how important this is right? The people that are at the bay right now do not know this information!" You yelled. "Report it to Whitebeard, huh? Sorry, no can do. After all, Whitebeard is the one that sold us off. Why should we help those who are not even going to die?"

You took a step backwards. You started to understand the situation. Squard betrayed Pops, but why was that? You furrowed your brows and drew your weapon at Squard. "What did you do, Squard?" You asked. He only chuckled and walked closer to you. "Squard, you do not know who you are up against." He only laughed at your comment. "You? You might be that brat's girlfriend but you're not as powerful as you think you are. After all, you do not have that idiot to protect you anymore." Your blood was starting to boil as you heard how Squard was talking about Ace. What in the world happened? Squard and Ace were good friends.

"I was talking about Pops. Yes, I might be a little helpless and out of power without Ace, but are you really going to go so low and fight a pregnant woman?" You said in a low voice as he put his hands in his pocket. "Fight? Who said anything about fighting? But (Name) if you think no one will fight you just because you are pregnant, you might want to reconsider your thoughts. Maybe if you weren't a pirate someone might reconsider your fate however, you're bearing a very dangerous bloodline right now. Isn't that your only fear? Marines finding out? The entire world finding out that you're pregnant? If they find out this fact, aren't you and your baby already dead?"

You held your breath as you listened to Squard. You wanted to punch him so bad however he was only speaking the truth right now. "Maybe you are the one who seriously has to reconsider its thoughts. My baby will survive no matter what. If I don't manage to survive, I'm going to make sure that even if this baby has to go through hell and back, he or she is going to survive no matter what. I'll make sure that he (or she) will have a good life even if I'll be gone from this world." You said. Squard's expression changed a little at your words as he was a little surprised at your words.

"It seems that the Roger's family history keeps on repeating inself." He said out of the blue. "Ace isn't going to die." You replied. "I wasn't talking about Ace." Your eyes widened as the second after he got his hands of the his pockets, you felt a sharp sting in your neck. You watched in horror as Squard injected in your neck some kind of substance. Once he got the syringe out, you felt your knees stared to weaken and your vision started to get a little blurry as the seconds passed by. "W-what did you do?" Your voice cracked as you fell on the ground. Your only source of support was your weapon.

Seconds later, the door opened. Your vision was quite blurry, however, you could recognize that person's shadow even in your dreams. It was Akainu. You tried to move away, you tried to stand up, however, you felt the darkness coming over you. "Betrayed by your own crew mate? What a shame." He said as he watched you struggle. "Y-you will kill her now?" Squard asked. Akainu however did not gave him an answer. You felt your body going numb and darkness fell completely over you.

Everyone watched in horror as Squard's blade pierced through Whitebeard's body. Marco flew immediately to Whitebeard and pinned Squard on the ground. "SQUARD! Why did you do that?! Answer me, Squard!" Marco yelled. "S-shut up! You guys made me do it!" Squard replied back. Marco felt his anger grow. "What do you mean?! Do you know what you've done?"

Whitebeard fell on his knees, as he felt pain from the wound that Squard just made. "Pops! Don't push yourself! Your health-" Marco however was stopped by Whitebeard who gave him a sign that he's okay. Squard breathe heavily as he felt the adrenaline. "Stop perpetrating this farce, Whitebeard! I know about your deal with the Navy! You have their confirmation that the Whitebeards and Ace will remain safe!" Squard yelled.

"Listen here everybody! We've all been trapped!" Marco looked confused at Squard. "You've never told me that Ace is the child of that hateful Gold Roger! When you found me I was all alone. He burned my ship, my crew! I befriended Ace without any problem. You know how much I despised Roger and yet you didn't tell me that Ace was Roger's son?! We didn't know anything about it and we came all the way here, sacrificing our lives to save Ace and to help you and this is what happened?! In fact, we're the ones who have been attacked by the Navy! It's a miracle that I was able to stab you even once..."

Squard opened his arms in defeat. "I'm prepared for it. Kill me. I didn't want to believe it, I couldn't believe it! I never wanted to think that the old buddy would betray us." Marco felt his blood boiling and he tugged Squard. "You idiot! Can't you see you're being fooled? Why can't you trust Pops?!" Squard furrowed his eyes and yelled back. "Don't play innocent Marco! You, the 1st division commander sure know about the deal with the Navy and about Ace!"

"It's true that Ace is Roger's son. They used that in their advantage and tricked the man who would be the most angered by that fact. Their strategy was a notch above us." Whitebeard sighed as he looked towards Sengoku. He straightened up himself and slammed his sword on the ground. "You know what you did, right? You pierced your blade through your father's body!" Squard started to understand that this is going to be his last moments. He gulped as he feared his death, however, he was surprised when he was pulled into a hug.

"You stupid son! Even if you are stupid, I still love you the same." Whitbeard said. Squard tried to get away from him however Whitebeard only hugged him tighter. "Cut the crap! I know that it's true!" Whitebeard sighed and he looked into Squard's eyes. "Who pulled your upright and loyal heart into the darkness? Tell me." Squard hesitated a little but he finally surrendered. "He's an insurgent in the Navy, Akainu. He told me that he would save us allied pirates if I slew you"

Whitebeard furrowed his brows a that name. "So that's what Akainu told you. I know how much you hate Roger, so much that I feel your pain. But, Squard, it's ridiculous to lay the blames on a child for his father's sins. Did Ace did something to you? You and Ace have weathered agony, joy and pain together so many times, along with the others, isn't that right? I don't give a damn who Ace's father is. We all met each other on this wide sea by chance! Not only the two of you, but all of you, I take as my children. So Squard, treat him kindly. I don't love him any more than any other. You are all family to me." Whitebeard stood up and looked at Sengoku.

"That Sengoku, he never changes! To use one of my sons for his twisted plans." Whitebeard used his power to break down the wall of ice. Squard felt his eyes filling with tears. What has he done?! "All of you who'll follow me, lay down your heart for it!" All the pirates cheered at Whitebeard's words.

Squard continued to cry. Whitebeard might of forgave him however he will never forgive himself. He just sold off his crew member, his sister, to the enemy! Marco placed his hand on Squard's shoulder. "It's okay, Sqaurd. You were only tricked." He said. Squard only continued to cry even harder. "Marco... What have I done?! I'm an idiot!" Marco sighed. "Yes you are, but this wasn't you entire fault, Squard. The Navy sure knows how to twist someone's thoughts. Your actions might've not been the heart was still in the right place. You did it to protect the others."

"Marco! You don't get it!" Marco's eyes widened. "Pops, Marco... (Name) is- (N-Name) is-" Marco grabbed Squard's shoulders and shook him. "WHAT HAPPENED TO (NAME)?!" Marco yelled. Whitebeard furrowed his eyes.

"She's in the possession of the Navy now." And with those words, both Marco's and Whitebeard's eyes widened.

And so here it is guys, the first chapter for 2017. If I managed to do it, I'll probably update 2 times today. Well actually never mind cause it's 11 pm and I just finished writing this chapter lmao. I started to write this at 7 pm. I wrote this part with super high speed cause I saw it's Ace's birthday today and I had to write a chapter on his birthday.

SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ACE!

Also, next chapter is the last so be prepared for the feels train cause the next chapter doesn't seem to be very happy.
