After we ate, we were to do whatever we wanted until they blew the trumpet. The whole time I was sitting in our cabin, reading a Percy Jackson book. I really didn't want to go around the camp right now. I mean we just got here yesterday and we've already fought with the other campers. Plus, falling on your back to kick someone over you, will hurt you later.  As I was reading, I realized they lied. Ed said whoever was the first team back to the docks going to go last in the fighting circle? Well I wasn't the first one there. Maybe Daithi, but not me.

My thoughts were interrupted by the trumpet. I put my book down and walked to the fire pit. I sat with my cabin, as usual.

"Okay, let me explain how every week is going to go for the rest of the summer:" Ed said, getting on the stump. "Every Friday, we will do many activities such as the Fighting Circle. Saturday, we'll do team building exercises like the Barrel Roll." Ed said, smiling. Barrel Roll? "Sunday, we will relax and you guys can do whatever you want, like swimming. And on Mondays, we'll do fitness testing which is just exercises that will increase your speed and help you body." Ed said

"Or just make us look like idiots." Jess whispered, sarcastically into my ear. I giggled

"On Tuesdays, we'll have contests like the Singing Contest." Ed said. Oh dear God, we have to sing! "Wednesday is going  to be chore day. Thursday we'll be doing art exercises like Twister is Paintful." Ed said. Paintful? They based a game off a pun. "That's pretty much it. If it rains, then guess what, you'll be going your chores in the rain. We will not cancel what we are doing unless it's lighting." Ed explained.

"Also, every Friday wear what you are wearing right now." Toni said. Ed nodded. "And I think that's it." She said looking a Ed.

"Yeah, you can go to bed now." He said and everyone walked to their cabins.

The next morning was hot. In fact, it was so hot, I put on short, and I hate shorts more than anything in the world. I put my hair in a messy bun so it wouldn't get in my face while we're doing whatever the Barrel Roll is.

Jess, Alesa, Colleen, and me are going to walk to the dinning hall after Colleen finishes getting ready.

"Hey Alesa, do you get to pick the teams or are you working with your cabin?" I asked Alesa.

"A boy and a girl will be captain and they'll choose whoever they want." She explained

"Oh, well I just wanted to know because I can work with you guys." I said

"Oh it's usually really fun. Unless Evan and Mamrie are on the same team." She said, laughing a bit.

"What the story behind that?" I asked, remembering yesterday in the Fighting Circle. "I've met both of them and they're really nice. Why do they not like each other."

"Well, it all started when Evan and Mamrie were in 1st grade. Mamrie was the new kid and when the teacher introduced her, Evan peed his pants the moment he looked at her." Alesa explained. I laughed. "Then a year later, Mamrie was talking to her friends and pointed to something. Evan seen and at his angle, it looked like she was pointing at a boys butt." She continued. I kept laughing.

"Wow! That's amazing!" I said.

"I've been on a team with them before. It was the worst, they just kept fighting over the littlest and stupidest things. They basically acted like children." Jess added.

"Okay, lets go." Colleen said coming out of the bathroom.

We walked to the dinning hall and we sat with Grace and her cabin. After we ate, we had to go to the fire pit. We were some of the first people there, so we sat in the back because Alesa didn't want to get noticed by her secret senpai. Tyler's, Evan's, Ken's, Marcel's and Lui's cabin joined us. I met Dan and Phil, they were really nice and easy to talk to. Once everyone finished lunch, Ed told us to line up, shoulder to shoulder. I was next to Alesa and Evan.

"Okay, time for captains." Ed said, "Raise your hand if you want to be a captain." Ed said, pretty much everyone but me put up their hand.

"I nominate Fred Fishstick to be girl captain!" Jess yelled.

"What-Wait, no!" I said really fast. I did not want to be captain. Not only do I not have enough skill to be a team leader, but I had to choose people to be on my team, and I don't know half of the campers name.

"I second that nomination!" Alesa yelled.

"No, she doesn't!" I said looking at Ed. He was smiling at me because I was freaking out.

"Okay every girl that wants Fred to be the girl captain, raise your hand." Ed said. Every girl but me raised their hand.

"I thought we were friends?" I asked, looking at them.

"We are, that's why we nominated you." Zoe explained. Everyone was laughing.

"Boys, who do you choose?" Ed asked, still laughing a bit.

"I nominate Ryan." Someone said.

Everyone else nodded.

"Okay, Fred and Ryan are going to be the captains." Ed said

"I didn't agree to that." I said. Ryan, the guy Lilly carried to the nurse, walked over to Ed and looked at everyone.

"Come on Fred." Justine said, grabbing my arms and started pulling me.

"No." I repeated as a put my feet into the earth, hoping that she would stop. People laughed but I didn't care, I don't want to be captain. She got me to the same place Ryan was standing. I sighed, realizing that there was no other choice.

We started choosing people so far I had Tyler O., Evan, Okward, Colleen, Jess, Tyler W. and Lilly. Ryan picked some people I knew; Alesa, Lui, and Daithi.

I was about to pick Glozell.

"Mamrie." Someone whispered in my ear. I think it was Daithi.

"Mamrie?" I asked out loud.

"What." She said

"No!" Evan yelled grabbing his head.

She walked over to my team, passing Evan a dirty look just for him to return it. I hared Daithi start laughing.

He looked at me, "Why, did you pick her?" He asked quietly

"I'm sorry. I think Daithi whispered her name in my ear and I questioned it. I really didn't mean to." I explained to him.

He looked at Daithi, who was still laughing. "I'm going to kill you." Evan said in the scariest way possible.

After choosing a few more people, the only person I knew that was still waiting to get picked was Tiffany.

"Tiffany." Ryan said. Never mind. I stood there for a while. I didn't know anyone who was still standing. "Fred, it's your turn." Ryan said.

"I don't know anyone who's still standing." I explained through my teeth.

Eight boys stand. One had a necklace a purple jewel and a gold rim around it. The one next to him had purple and green hair. After him was the guy that punched Jess in the gut. Next to him was wearing a shirt with a derp face. The other two Tylers were standing next to and guy with purple in his hair and another guy with blue in his hair.

"Fred, choose someone." Ed said.

"I-I don't anyone else." I explained.

"Okay I'll pick the rest." Ed said. He told the last eight boys which team they would be on. I got Adam, Jin, Ty-his real name is Tyler but he told me to call him Ty- and Carlo.

Ryan's Team- Ryan, Sean F., Greg, Will, Alesa, Lui, Daithi, Adam N., Zoe, Alfie, Johnathan, Tyler W., Dan, Phil, Marzia, Felix, Brock, Mark, Marcel, Tanya, Barney, Ross, Tyler C., and Chirs.

Fred's Team- Fred, Tyler O., Evan, Okward, Colleen, Jess, Mamrie, Sean S., Craig, Glozell, Hannah, Louise, Ken, Cry, Jenna, Grace, Troye, Justine, Lilly, Tiffany, Adam D., Jin, Tyler I., and Carlo.

"I have absolutely no leading skills, so get ready to lose." I said to my team.

"Have some faith. Ryan choose his friends and everyone knows you don't your friends to be on a team." Okward said

"Okward, we're friends. Plus wouldn't you work better with your friends? I mean wouldn't they understand each other better?" I asked.

"Uhh..." He said awkwardly.

"Come on Fred, like Okward said, have some faith." Ken said putting his arm around me.

"I'm going to have to go on Fred with this one. We have Evan and Mamrie." Jenna said pointing to both of them, giving each other dirty looks.

"Yeah, we're fucked." Craig said

"Okay, we're going to do Tug of War first." Ed said. "Follow me, there's a twist this year." He started walking somewhere and I looked at Ken, he just shrugged.

It felt like I was playing follow the leader, and I was the leader. My team followed me like I was a mother duck. We walked a little pass the Fighting Circle to find a mud pit.

"Okay Fred's Team on this side and Ryan's Team on this side." Ed said and my team walked to one side of the mud pit, Ryan's was on the other.

Toni and Ed untangled a rope and handed one side to each team. I had to be in the front because I was the captain. I think we have a chance though, I mean Evan, Ken, Adam and Jin are really strong. But the other team has Brock, Mark, Chris, Tyler W. and Ryan had some muscle too.

"Everybody get ready." We all fixed our footing. "Get set," We tightened our grip on the rope. "Go!"

We all started pulling, but they were way stronger. We were doing go until Ryan got a better grip. He let go of the rope then re grabbed it and pulled really hard. Since I was at the first in line, I was first to fall...face first into the mud.

"Fred!"

"Are you okay?"

"Oh my gosh!"

I turned around on my butt and realized the mud pit was two feet deep. I looked at my clothes, i was covered in mud from head to toe. I looked up at all of my friends. Everyone looked worried, at least they care.

"Fred, grab my hand." Okward said, holding his hand out. I grabbed his hand and he helped me stand up, but my feet were stuck.

"I got you." Tyler W. said. He was about to grab me.

"Wait, are you sure? You're wearing a white shirt." I asked

He shrugged, "It's washable." He said and wrapped his arms around my waist. I put my arms around his neck and he pulled me out of the mud like I wasn't even stuck.

"Thank you." I said when my feet touched the ground.

"No problem."

"FRIENDSHIP!" I hared Colleen, Jess, and Alesa say. I turned to see why and they face planted into the mud pit.

"Are guys okay?" I asked

All three of them stood up. "Yeah, we're fine." Jess said. They tried to walk out of the mud but they clearly got stuck.

"Come on." Adam D. said, grabbing Alesa the same way Tyler grabbed me.

Tyler O. helped Colleen and Jin helped Jess. They said thank you and they all walked towards me. Alesa put her arm around me and Colleen stood on my right side and Jess stood on my left.

"FRIENDSHIP! AGAIN!" Lui, Evan, Tyler W., Brock, Marcel, Adam N., Daithi, Craig, and Johnathan yell as they jumped in the mud too. All of them started rolling around in the mud and were able to get out of the mud really easily.

"EVEN MORE FRIENDSHIP!" Ken, Felix, Mark, Sean S., and Cry screamed and jumped into the mud

"FOR FRIENDS!" Tyler O., Okward, Troye, Dan, Phil, and Alfie yelled and rolled into and out of the mud.

"NEW FRIENDSHIP!" Adam D., Jin, Ross, Barney, Ryan, Sean F., Greg, Will, Tyler C., Tyler I., Chirs, and Carlo yelled and jump in as well. They had some trouble getting out but it was easier for them to get out then for me.

Everyone who was covered in mud join Alesa, Colleen, Jess and I. "You know you didn't have to do that, right?" I asked all of them.

"Yeah, but we got friendship." Alesa explained.

"Hang on." Zoe said and every girl jumped into the mud-and more than half of them had makeup on.

"FRIENDSHIP!" They yelled as some people helped them out. They joined us too.

"Friendship!" I yell and put my arms up.

"FRIENDSHIP!" Everyone copied me.

The only people who weren't covered in mud were the adults. Ed pulled out a camera and took a picture of us.
