-He has two older sisters and a niece

-His family is quite prominent in the political sphere. One of his sisters is part of the Diet while the other is a member of the Ministry of Defense. As he is the last born and didn't show any interest in politics, he easily joined the military

-He is a smoker, whenever he wants a cigarette he'll unconsciously brush his thumb against his lower lip— his sisters like to hand him lollipops instead of cigarettes, but he isn't so found of candies

-Overseeing 3-E is his first mission since joining the secret services (if you exclude fetching Takaoka)

-Although he never spoke to Karasuma before joining 3-E, he knew him from his sister who sometimes dealt with him in the Ministry of Defense
