ZANE'S BLOG 001

Upon returning to the flat, I felt a tremor of nerves coursing through my shaking hands and legs. I couldn't fathom why I was so affected after what had transpired.
I couldn't believe that I had just encountered a murderer. The killer had nearly claimed my new companion as a victim.
Unable to fall asleep, I decided to step outside and head to the balcony for some fresh air.
There was no one outside my room, so Raine must already be asleep. Lucky her, being able to drift off, while I can't seem to sleep because of what I did earlier.
I took out my phone and decided to search for his name on the internet once more.
It didn't take long before I finally found some of the answers I was looking for.
Hurriedly, I returned to my room and retrieved my laptop from my bag. I opened my website and, to my surprise, discovered her very own blogging spot.
To delve deeper into her life, I promptly followed her blog.
To pass the time and organize my thoughts, I decided to open another account that wasn't following her. I needed to jot down my thoughts before they slipped away amidst the chaos of my mind.
After several days of silence on my website, I finally mustered the courage to write again.
And then I typed:
I looked her up on the internet and realized I'd seen her before. Her website, revealed in a tagged post, disclosed something as well.
My mind was mindstruck. How did she deduce things I couldn't? Is she a real-life Sherlock Holmes or something?
Why would she confront someone who might be a villain searching for Aunt Clara? Why is she so attached that she would risk her life to save her?
Perhaps because something truly significant is happening!
It's not my first time encountering such things. When we lived in the city, I often witnessed cruelties before returning to the province. After Mum died, I fell into depression and even did terrible things to others with the gang I was part of.
The good thing is, we returned to the province, and I never heard from the gang again. We were still poor, but life there was better than in the city.
Now that I am in Manila, I will set things right. Especially now that I have finally found her.
Lorraine Adriella de Verra, daughter of the late Detective Chief William Lawrence de Verra, the man who helped my family when we truly needed it.
I will use the skills I learned to become a better person. I will save L.A.V.
Just after I posted that blog, I got a notification from one of the people I follow: Raine.
I wasn't sure whether to believe her. I knew she was frightened, just as I was. Even though I couldn't read her thoughts, I could see the fear in her eyes.
