A/N: A really really small part and the last extra chapter. I didn't add this part because I didn't know HOW to mention this with angst or else the mood would have been spoiled.

Reading the diary - which Lan Xichen thought was a book - was a mistake but it helped him to confess his feeling for Jiang Wanyin. 

The first few pages were filled with his pain. How he felt when Lotus Pier was burned, his parents died, how he endured the humiliation and the pain he felt when he lost his golden core. Why he lost his core, every pain was written there. Zewu-jun, the perfect Lan, older Lan of Twin Jades of Gusu Lan, continued reading. He forgot that it was someone else personal feelings. 

He read everything the only part that made him smile a little was... "I am an idiot to fall for Zewu-jun." 

That gives him the courage to confess.
