1.     I always have my heart set on traveling to the United States.

2.     Last night I felt in good spirits and asked my parents for money.

3.     They asked me to give one good reason but I kept beating around the bush.

4.     They told me they couldn't shell out that much money just for me tohave fun.

5.     My parents aren't made of money and neither am I.

6.     Maybe I'll borrow some of my friends and pay them back later

7.     He really bugged me because he didn't do what he promised.

8.     Now he doesn't stand a chance of getting anything good in life.

9.     He needs to buckle down to get some experience under his belt.

10.                        I have a scratchy throat because we had a big fight last night.

11.                        He should learn the ropes of doing business first before he can start his own one.

12.                        Let’s face it ! Our latest advertising campaign was a real flop.

13.                        We can't do anything to save the day unless we go back to the drawing board.

14.                        We have to let ineffective people go because we're about to go belly-up.

15.                        Then we hire some people who are as sharp as a tack and give them a crash course on this.

16.                        They will have responsibility for coordinating marketing activities more effectively.

17.                        The Marketing department should act as a guide and lead the company's other departments.

18.                        I need to level with you that I am really broke.

19.                        People talk behind my back that I am a lost cause.

20.                        My boss always tells me that I have rocks in my head.

21.                        I'm always getting into trouble for missing deadlines at work.

22.                        Yesterday, I got canned because of being caught sleeping at my desk.

23.                        I hung around the bar until the wee hours and drank until I threw up.

24.                        Stop kidding around . Let’s get down to business.

25.                        We need to know the nuts and bolts of their businessbefore buying out their company.

26.                        Up to now, our plan is still up in the air.

27.                        But what we have discussed is no laughing matter.

28.                        So we must kick around some ideas to get the problem ironed out.

29.                        Let’s see how to buy some time in order to delay the event until May.

30.                        Now I have a new job and a new girlfriend. Things are looking up!

31.                        Yesterday, I reached a deal with a local bookstore to hold a book fair for them.

32.                        I don't want to bite off more than I can chew , so I will ask some friends to give me a hand.

33.                        Right now I have too much going on and I can't handle them bymyself.

34.                        I will present all the details to them and hope they will pitch in.

35.                        Needless to say, I 'm a really happy camper right now.

36.                        You know, alligator-skin belts are all the rage this season.

37.                        But you have to pay top dollar for one . Everything in there costs an arm and a leg.

38.                        Besides, the salespeople are unfriendly and they always give me the creeps.

39.                        But in reality, their belts are selling like hot cakes !

40.                        I'm sure their belts will be sold out within a day or two.
