Servants...
Narrator's POV
Tanaka sighed as he mopped the floors of Phantomhive Manor.
As good as he was at his job, even he could not do the chores of thirty servants daily like Sebastian had.
And as he ever approached the age of sixty five, he needed help doing the tasks in a timely matter.
Finishing mopping the foyer, he noticed it was nearly time for tea, so he went down to the kitchen and got a kettle on the boil.
Putting the hot water in a teapot with the correct amount of Earl Grey leaves, he prepared the tea cart and took it up to the twins' office.
The house steward poured the identical boys their cups of tea exactly the way they liked it —Ciel with a splash of cream and Astre with two sugar cubes.
"Young masters, I have a matter that requires your immediate attention." Tanaka began, "It is the recruitment of new staff."
"Now that you mention it, that is an important matter." Ciel said
Astre nodded, "Yes, Sebastian was able to do most of the work so I never had to have a large staff."
"How many servants did the previous Earl retain?" The elder twin asked Tanaka
The Japanese man explained, "Menservants consisted of a house steward, a butler, a valet, an assistant butler and several footmen. For female servants, the Earl had a housekeeper, and around the house maids, of whom the lady's maid was chief. In the kitchen, we had a chef, a pâtissier, and a roasting cook. There were also five or so laundry maids, two kitchen maids, two stillroom maids and a number of gardeners and stablemen."
"Going by that, we would require at least thirty servants." Tanaka continued, "For senior positions such as butler and housekeeper I would recommend approaching Marquess Midford's household for introductions to trustworthy candidates. To fill the other positions, you could hire your tenants and the advertise in the newspaper for what remains."
Ciel crossed his arms, huffing a bit, "I should have consulted uncle while he was here."
Astre took a hand his his, trying to soothe his twin, "Just wrote to him now, I am sure he and Aunt Frances would be more than happy to provide us with where to find suitable servants."

Blavat Sky stared out the window in his hidden bedroom in the attic of Heathfield Manor.
Staring down at the courtyard below, he noticed a young woman approaching the estate.
Recognizing her maroon hair, he smiled.
Just as Lord Sirius had predicted, the demon and his accomplices were trying to dismantle the operation.
Turning around, he walked out of his room and down the corridor to the one being occupied by Lord Polaris.
He only had to knock once before the cloaked man opened the door.
"Yes?" Polaris asked
"I have a message for you to send to Lord Sirius." Blavat explained, "The maid has arrived here."
Polaris' olive green eyes shone with delight at the idea of being near Lord Sirius again.
He was gone within ten minutes, riding a horse towards Phantomhive Manor.

Prince Soma Asman Kadar was angry.
No, angry did not even begin to describe what he felt.
How could Ciel do this to him?
They had been such good friends once and then the younger boy and his butler had murdered his khansama out of nowhere.
Now, he wanted revenge.
It had taken a quite few days to walk to Phantomhive Manor while hauling Agni's urn, but he arrived to the treeline in front of the manor in the late afternoon.
Soma decided to rest and wait for nightfall, then he would take them by surprise.
***
Once the full moon was beginning its climb up the sky, Soma crept down the servants' entrance of the manor and made his way around, looking for Ciel's bedroom.
As he silently crept up the stairs, butcher's knife he had taken from the kitchen in his hand, he heard footsteps climbing up behind him.
His golden eyes widened as he looked for a place to hide.
He quickly found one beside a grandfather clock, hoping the person behind him did not look into the shadows.
A figure in a black cloak walked right past him, not even giving a glance in his direction.
Following the direction the cloaked man had gone in, Soma noticed the figure had disappeared.
Suddenly, he sensed motion from above and looked up, seeing the cloaked man tackle him.
With that, the Indian Prince was rendered unconscious.

Ciel and Astre Phantomhive had just finished getting ready for bed.
Both were clad only in their nightshirts and Undertaker had just attached Ciel to an oxygen tank like he did once a week —he claimed it was to make sure his blood was well oxidized.
The bedroom door opened and the twins looked up, seeing a hooded man dragging an unconscious Soma in by his shirt collar.
"Who is this?" Astre whispered to Ciel, "Why is Soma here?"
"That is my servant, Polaris." Ciel answered, his voice also in whisper, "As for your second question, I am curious about that as well."
"Polaris, why are you here?" Ciel asked the intruder
The hooded man knelt before the undead Earl, "I was sent with word that the maid arrived to Heathfield Manor. I found this rat breaking in when I arrived, Lord Sirius."
"I am not 'Lord Sirius' anymore." Ciel stated, "That title belongs to that butler now."
"Yes, Master Ciel, p-please excuse my mistake." Polaris trembled, lowing his kneeling into a bow
"You look pale." The elder blunette noted, "Even if your blood type is easily obtained, it does not lengthen the amount of time you can stay active."
"I-I am fearful, master, if I were to lose you again, I would never be able to Rest In Peace -even in death." Polaris said
Astre looked at the mysterious figure, certain he had heard that voice before.
"Lower your hood." Astre requested
Polaris trembled more, "I-I am unsightly. I could not expose my hideous self before either of your radiances."
"Do it now, I hate repeating orders." Ciel demanded, angered his brother had not been obeyed
The older man did as told, lowering his hood to reveal his bandaged and stitched up face.
Even behind all of the deformity, Astre's mind made the connection, "Baron Kelvin?"...
