chapter 22

(UM, terribly written smut ahead this is a warning)

-

THE WAY ERIC'S HAND SLID down Alex's midsection mesmerized her. His skin was shivering cold to the touch, making chills run all along her body. The intense gaze he was giving her made heat pool between her legs. She moaned quietly, knowing that Sookie was just downstairs, which made everything more exciting.

She guessed being around for a thousand or so years really taught him a few things. Alex took in his scent as her nose ran up his neck. Peppermint, ice. She made a mental note to ask about his shampoo.

Eric let his lips cover every inch of her chest, his fangs grazing her tanned skin. She gasped at his hand that was slowly trailing down to her panties, and the burning sensation that his touch left.

Using his speed, he was down by her knees in a split second. He parted her legs, chuckling darkly. He nipped and sucked at the bare skin on her inner thighs, making Alexandra shiver.

"Eric." Alexandra gritted our through her teeth. He knew exactly what he was doing, and exactly how it made her feel.

He raised up, using his vampire speed to go back to her swollen lips. Their lips fit like puzzle pieces and Eric slid his hand beneath her, unclamping the white lace and removing it from her at once. Her breath hitched in her throat as Eric's tongue danced around her breasts. His sharp set of fangs left tiny white scratches as he darted from her full chest to her neck.

"I've waited for this ever since you walked into my club." Eric's voice was husky and rough, sending shivers down her spine. "I'm done waiting." He growled, taking both of his hands and ripping off her underwear, exposing her. His fingers trailed down, stopping right above her core.

Alex whimpered, giving Eric a frustrated expression. The vampire just smirked and let his fangs rake his bottom lip in amusement. He hovered over her, slowly unbuttoning his pants, pulling them down and off of his muscular figure.

Alexandra gulped, her eyes glued to his member. She let her eyes slowly raise up to his eyes, nothing in them but fiery passion. He gripped her thighs tightly, pulling her close to him with ease. He wordlessly slipped inside of her, filling her up completely.

Alexandra tossed her head back and let her hand wrap around the thin metal headboard. Eric slowly pumped back and forth, letting her get adjusted to his size before slamming into her, his hands holding onto her hips so tight it was bound to leave a bruise.

She was unable to control the gasp she let out as he sped up. Suddenly, he was off of the bed, pulling her by her ankles to the edge.

Alexandra gave a laugh, letting her hands rake his back as he entered her once more.

"Oh, Eric." The blonde screamed out, the pressure in the bottom of her stomach began to grow. Eric's pumps became harder as he slammed into her, her moans became louder and barely muffled under his hand. Alex's hands were planted firm on his back, her nails digging into his skin, trying to steady herself as he pounded into her.

Suddenly his hips jerked forward with the force of his vampire strength, making her cry out in pleasure. He growled, his fangs finally connecting with her neck and breaking her skin. Alexandra shuddered and tried to catch her breath, but the sensation of Eric's sharp fangs sinking into her as she finished was euphoric.

Eric pulled back from her neck, his lips still dripping blood. He lapped up the blood from her neck and chest. He had a lazy smirk on his lips, as he pulled out of her and plopped down beside her. Alexandra was silent for a few moments, trying to catch her breath and gather her thoughts.

"If I knew, wow, you are-Jesus H." Alexandra arched her back, trying to keep her legs and body from shaking vigorously. Eric laughed, a genuine laugh fell across his face and Alex looked over, giving him a dopey grin.

"What are you laughin' at?" She giggled, rolling over on her stomach and leaning on his bicep. He wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close.

"I'm over a thousand years old, yet you still seem to surprise me. That's a rare quality in a breather." Eric kept his hand on her back, letting his fingers dance around in patterns.

Alex's lips quirked up, "I've had plenty of men in my life, all of them the same as the last. I saw them all coming into my life, but I never saw you. You've stuck with me. I think I'm just as surprised by you, as you are me."

"Is that so?" Eric whispered, his eyes full of wonder as he stared down at the blonde. She nodded, giving him a small peck on his red stained lips.

"Oh my God." She brought her hands up to her mouth and snickered. Eric smiled slightly, raising his eyebrows to question her laughter. "I knew Sookie was home but I was so loud. You think she heard us?" Not to even mention Bill or Sam, she thought.

"Shreveport probably heard us by the way you were screaming." Eric raised his lips while giving her a sarcastic quip. Alex rolled her eyes at his assumption, laying back down to place her head on his chest.

"I'm not one of those girls to fuck and then question, what are we. But, what is this? I mean it's been back and forth until tonight. And, to be honest I really like you Eric." She looked up at him, her fingers twirling his blonde hair.

Eric seemed to be hesitant to answer for a moment. He was a Viking God, women and men have surrounded him for centuries. There were a few special ones, but none as special as Alexandra. And even Pam noticed it. There was a drawl that she had to her, the way she presented herself.
He couldn't resist.

"You're very special. I normally don't like claiming humans, and I haven't for a very long time. But when I said you were mine tonight, it wasn't just to protect you from that baby vampire. It was for me and for you. I care a great deal about you." His eyes flickered down to her lips and back up to her baby blue eyes.

"Oh, Eric Northman, where have you been all my life?"

-

Alexandra woke up to the relaxing sound of birds chirping outside of her window, a slight breeze blowing through the screen beside her bed. She let her hands slowly raise up and stretch until her ankles gave a loud pop.

She had only slept around five hours, but she was bouncing from the walls. Normally, Alexandra trudged out of bed, a sour frown upon her face. But after her long night with Eric, all she could think about was getting up and getting ready for the day ahead of her.

She pulled her robe from the end of her bed and bounced on the balls of her feet, hissing in pain as she finally got both feet on the floor. She covered herself with her robe, but looked down on her waist to see thumb print bruises from Eric's large hands. She covered her mouth, letting out an unbelievable laugh. She hopped over to her vanity to check for any messages on her cellphone. There was only one message, from Hoyt.

Alexandra pressed play and held the phone to her ear. "Uh, hey Alex. You're not gonna like this, but Jason got arrested last night. He turned himself in, I guess he found Amy just-well, she passed away in bed with him. He's convinced he did it. You might want to go talk some sense into him before he confesses to somethin' he didn't do."

Alex closed her eyes, cursing silently. She tossed her phone onto her bed and pulled out a pair of blue jean shorts, along with one of her old high school t-shirts.

After a quick shower and change, Alex walked downstairs, noticing that from out of the window Sookie's car was gone. She furrowed her eyebrows but grabbed her keys and headed out the door.

When she pulled up to the police station she noticed the bright yellow car parked out front and Sookie walking out of the doors, frowning. Alex stopped her by calling her name and jogging up to her.

"What happened?" Alexandra could feel Sookie's eyes focus on her neck, the bites. Sookie met her gaze and shook her head slightly.

"He's bein' stubborn, Alex. I don't think he'll want to see you, he told me to get out. He's startin' to think he actually did it." Sookie ignored the marks in her sisters neck and gripped her purse. "I think I'm gonna go into work today, I just got to go home and get changed."

"Sookie, are you sure? You know how nosy people like to talk around here-and think. Maybe you should stay home, we could have a girls day." Alex gave Sookie a hopeful smile, but the blonde shook her head.

"I just need to do somethin' normal. Plus, I need the shift, I'm broke." Sookie opened the door to her car, "I'll see you tonight." She gave her sister a nod and drove off making the older Stackhouse frown and turn on her heel.

Alexandra opened the door to the police station, bumping shoulders with someone. She turned to apologize, that was until she got a shiver sent down her spine. She blinked and straightened her posture, seeing René standing in front of her.

"Hey lady," He greeted, his eyes flickering down to her neck. He gulped, "Looks like you had a fun night, you." Alexandra blushed, her hands subconsciously going up to her neck.

"Yeah, well." She shrugged, a nervous smile on her lips. "We should catch up for drinks later, I feel like I haven't spent time with you and Hoyt in forever." She quickly changed the subject, having a hard time looking René in the eyes.

Sometime she wished she was like Sookie, she would've killed to see what was running through his mind.

"Oh yeah for sure, I'll meet you at Merlotte's tonight, Cher?" Alexandra nodded, watching him walk out of the door. She set her eyes forward, and shook off the eerie feeling.

"Bud, I need to see my brother." Alexandra walked up to the desk, seeing the Sheriff looking through a folder. He looked up, his eyebrows raising as his eyes went straight to her neck.

"Oh, Alexandra, what brings you down today?" A smirk appeared on his lips and she could see the amusement in his eyes. It lit a fire inside her but she had to hold back her words, at least until she got to see Jason.

"I need to see my brother, it's important." Alex tapped on the counter softly, giving Bud her most puppy dog look. It seemed as though he was considering it, until Andy walked in.

"He already threw one sister out, what makes you think he wants to see you?" Andy pulled his sunglasses from his shirt and put them on, walking around Alexandra and strolling outside. She rolled her eyes and looked to Bud once more.

He gave a loud sigh, pulling out his keys and walking her back to see her brother.

Jason was sitting on the floor, leaning his face against the cold metal bars. He looked up slightly when he saw a familiar pair of tennis shoes walking towards him.

"Jason, honey, what happened?" Alexandra leaned down on the floor, grabbing his hand through the bars. He sniffled quietly, glancing up at her with his swollen eyes.

"I killed Amy-and Dawn and Maudette. I probably blacked out and made the bruises on your neck. I don't know, Alex, what did I do?" He whispered, tears rolling down his face as he held her hand so tight his knuckles turned white.

"I'm so sorry about Amy, but Jason, you have to believe me. You didn't do a damn thing. If you did I would've saw it by now, you're innocent. You have to be. I'm gonna get you out of here." Alexandra watched as he pulled away from her and folded his arms.

"You don't understand, I did it. And I'm goin' to Hell. You're trying to get my hopes up just like Sookie was. I thought you would understand." Jason inhaled sharply, trying to stop the tears flowing from his eyes. "I want you to have Mama and Daddy's house. I know it would mean you moving out of Gran's but, most of your stuff is still there. I gave René my truck, and Hoyt my lucky jacket. Well, he thinks it's lucky. You and Sookie can have everything else, it's not a lot." He shrugged.

Alexandra gave a dry laugh, "Jason you're talkin' to me like you're dying. You aren't, and you are getting out of here. I don't know what Andy drilled into your brain about you bein' a murderer but he is dead wrong. I'll do anything, I'll hire someone to find the real murderer."

Jason huffed, standing to his feet as quick as she could blink. "Damn it, Alexandra you're not listening to me, you're acting like Sookie. I did it, all of this is my fault! I think you should go I need some time alone." His voice raised an octave and Alexandra bounced to her feet. Suddenly, her hand was pulled back and Jason squinted at her neck.

"My God, you really did it." He barley spoke, his eyes focused right above her collar bone. Alexandra pulled her hand back, and pursed her lips.

"You're innocent, Jason."

-

"Sam, I'm going to be alright. I'm gonna be with René and Hoyt this afternoon and Eric is coming later tonight. I'm only gonna be by myself for a few hours." Alex chewed on the bottom of her lip, holding the phone between her head and shoulder as she unlocked the door to the house.

"Yeah, Eric." He huffed, and Alex chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Promise you'll call if anything happens? I don't mind leaving the bar with Terry and Lafayette. " His caring voice made her smile and she shook her head slightly. Alex slipped inside, locking the door. She laid her keys on the coffee table and grabbed a beer from the fridge.

"I promise, now get back to work!" Alexandra clicked the end button on her phone and leaned against the kitchen counter. She popped the cap off of the bottle and took a small swig of the dark brown brew.

Alex let herself relax against the counter. She titled her head slightly and traced her lips, remembering the night before. Her hands slowly went down to her neck, feeling the two holes Eric had placed there.

Being bitten for, technically, the first time, she expected it to hurt more. His fangs were big, but somehow gentle enough to pierce through her skin without being painful. It felt like, all of her worries and stress just came right out along with her delicious dark blood.

Sookie had been completely right about everything. Eric had was so, animalistic and caring at the same time. It made a blush rise to her cheeks and she laughed softly. Sweeping the dirty thoughts away, she decided it was about time to rearrange her old high school-dated bedroom. It was her day off, nothing to do for a few hours besides sit around a worry about Jason.

Alex grabbed her bottle and made her way upstairs.

As she glanced around her room she narrowed her eyes at a few boxes that were piled up in the corner. She scoffed, throwing her hair up in a bun, leaning down with her hands on her knees. "Get ready to get broken down and put away bitches."

As she dug into the first box, she noticed it was full of pictures. The first picture on top was from around a year ago, it was her, Jason, Hoyt, and René all with pool sticks in one hand and a beer in the other. Alexandra smiled at the memory and traced over their faces.

"God, that was forever ago." She whispered softly to herself. When her finger traced over René, she froze.

An unsettling feeling crashed into her like a brick. Alexandra quickly put the picture down onto the carpet but the feeling never left. Her neck was burning and she brought her hands up, trying to sooth the burn only to realize she was back in her old yard standing up near the trees.

René was right beside her, pumping himself up and jumping around slightly. She followed his eyes to see he was looking at her, laying down, sunbathing. She realized it was the afternoon right after Adele's funeral. Tears were drawn into his eyes and he wiped them away, pulling a mask over his face and his hood over his head.

"I gotta do this. For me, for everyone. She's my best goddamn friend! I'm so sorry Alex, but you're a fuckin' fangbanger." He growled, his fists pounding into the sides of his head. His Cajun accent was gone like it never existed.

Alex screamed but she couldn't interact with the visions, and she knew that. René was the one who strangled her. Flashes of Maudette, Dawn, Amy, and Adele came into her mind and she shook her head until they disappeared.

"What the fuck?" She screamed, standing up and pushing the box away from her. Alex didn't want to believe anything she saw, but she knew that her mind was never wrong. René, her best friend, was the killer. He murdered all of those women in cold blood, even her own grandmother.

Jason was sitting in a jail cell, while René was living up the free life. Alexandra was disgusted. She froze when she heard the familiar sound of a truck pulling up to the house. She looked out of her bedroom window to see none other than René and Sookie inside Jason's truck.

"Oh my God." Alexandra raced down the stairs, possibly tripping over a few. She got down right in time to see René and Sookie walk in, René wiped the sweat from his forehead and gave a deep exhale.

"It's hotter in here than hell on a Sunday." He commented, looking around the house, almost as if he was trying to spot out Alex. She stayed on the kitchen stairs, trying to soothe herself and calm her breathing.

"Yeah, Gran used to leave the windows open all day, but I just haven't felt safe doin' that in a while." Sookie replied walking into the kitchen. "Go on and have a seat I'll fix us some iced teas. Alex has to be around here somewhere, I'll get her." René nodded, going into the living room. Alex slowly walked down from her spot on the stairs and put her hand on Sookie's shoulder.

Sookie quickly turned around, taking in a breath of relief when she realized it was Alex. The look in Alex's eyes scared Sookie half to death, but when Alex spoke, it scared her even worse.

"Read my mind." Sookie was getting ready to speak up again but she closed her mouth and her eyes, concentrating on Alex's thoughts. Sookie gasped, dropping the pitcher of tea onto the floor.

"Sookie, you all right?" René snapped them out of their conversation. He leaned against the doorway, a slight smirk on his face. Alexandra kept her cool, picking up the plastic pitcher and placing it on the table.

"I'm just so jumpy these days." Sookie forced a laugh, backing away from René who walked closer. Alex looked between the two and cleared her throat.

"Hey René, what's up?" She raised her eyebrows, giving him a light smile. As his attention shifted towards Alex, she wondered how she never saw that look in his eyes before.

"Nothin' much, Cher, just helped Sookie out with her car trouble. You need any help with that?" He looked between the two girls and pointed to the sweet tea and ice that was all over the floor.

"No, that's okay. Hey Sook, you wanna get me the mop while I try to wipe this up?" She casually walked over, putting a hand on Sookie's back and leading her out of the kitchen slowly.

As soon as they got out of his line of sight, they booked it to the living room. Alexandra immediately grabbed the shotgun that Sam left and cocked it, holding it up to René. Sookie was roughly grabbed by Alex's arm and pushed behind her big sister.

"What do you think you're doing?" René asked and Alex's blood ran cold and chills made their way down her spine, his accent was gone. "You're not gonna shoot me." Memories of Adele and Dawn raced through her head, his past was digging away in her mind and she could barely think for herself.

Her eyes grazed over his face. That was her best friend, her brother, he knew everything about her. But everything was tainted now that she finally knew the truth. That's when she pulled the trigger.

Nothing fucking happened. Sookie, Jesus, I hope you're listening. If he comes after us I'm gonna hit him with this gun, and you run like the fucking wind, you hear me? If I get caught, keep going until you find help.

Alex cocked it again. René gave a dark chuckle, holding up two shotgun shells, and suddenly his Cajun accent was gone just like in Alex's vision. It was replaced with a cold, dark voice, "Whoops, told ya." He jetted towards them, Alex smashed the gun over his head, making him instantly fall to his knees. Sookie was the first to run out, Alexandra was hot on her trail.

Alexandra let out shaky breaths, realizing he was close behind her. All she could think about was when she was back in high school, trying out for the cross country team. She remembered to keep her arms to her sides, moving them quickly to gain her momentum. She let out a grunt as her legs burned from lack of exercise.

Alexandra ran into the cemetery, following the blob of blonde hair in front of her. René hollered and cussed, it sounded like he was far behind her. She kept her pace, but looked behind her only to see him lunge straight at her, tackling her to the ground. Her glasses swung off of her face, hitting one of the tall cement headstones and bouncing somewhere in the tall grass.

"Sookie run!" Alex screamed out, not only for Sookie, but as he landed on top of her she screamed in pain as her left shoulder connected with the dirt path, giving a sickening pop.

"Oh yeah, baby? You tryin' to run from me? Look at those ugly ass marks on your neck, bitch!" René pushes down hard, his knee digging into her back. She grunted in pain, trying to think of a way to get out from beneath him.

Alex turned over quickly, bringing her knee up and kicking him off of her. She tried to get up, using a headstone to pull herself to her feet. René noticed and brought his fist up, connecting his rough knuckles to her jaw.

She grunted at the taste of blood in her mouth and the shock from the hit. The Stackhouse sister scrambled away from him, sneakily hiding behind a big oak tree. The pain of her shoulder was almost too much to bare as she leaned her back against the bark.

Dear God, I know we haven't been on good terms here lately, with me not going to church and all.
But, please Lord save me and my sister. Me, Sook, and Jase. We are all we got, we'd be lost without each other. Please.

Alex felt tears drip down her face and she sniffled quietly. She peeked behind the tree, René was walking around and asking the sisters to show themselves.

"Alex, come on now! You know you're my best friend I was just playin'! I didn't mean to scare you!" He yelled, punching the air. He started to sneak behind a dug grave, and she cursed knowing that had to be were Sookie was hiding.

He grabbed a fistful of her blonde hair, yanking her from the grave. Sookie landed on the grass, René hovering over her, sending repeated blows to her face and kicking her stomach. Alexandra was quick to the scene, tackling him. A spark of white light shot from her hands, sending him back into one of the tall cement headstones.

Sookie picked herself up and leaned against a headstone, letting Alex know she was okay by nodding her head. Alexandra slowly walked over, making sure he was completely out of it. By the look of the blood trickling from his forehead, he wouldn't be moving again.

At least, that's what Alexandra thought before his hand reached out, wrapping around her ankle. René yanked her down onto the ground, crawling on top of her. His calloused hands quickly made their way around her throat and she struggled to breathe. She tried desperately to get the white light to come back to her hands, but it was useless.

Suddenly René was pulled off of her and she gasped in a breath of air, coughing hard. She let her hand grasp on to one of the headstones, trying to raise herself up as René pushed a dog off of him, which was revealed to be Sam.

"What the fuck? What the fuck are you?" He yelled repeatedly kicking him in the back. He grabbed a small statue from one of the graves and raised it above his head, getting ready to strike Sam's head when Alexandra used her light to send him off of Sam. She quickly grabbed one of the shovels by an empty grave and sliced his head with it, making a gut wrenching sound.

Alex backed away slightly, watching as the shovel slowly fell to the ground. Sookie and Sam slowly came from behind her, peeking over her shoulder to see his body laying still. Sam laid a hand on Alex's shoulder squeezing it tightly. Her whole body was shaking at the fact she had just killed someone who meant the world to her. She quietly sniffled, not caring about the tears that rolled down her bruised face.

Sookie let her eyes roam forward into the open grass, seeing smoke surround a black body like figure. Alexandra followed her gaze, watching her run over. She shared a look with Sam and followed Sookie.

She leaned down on her knees, turning the charcoal burnt body over to reveal Bill. Sookie completely broke down, salty tears falling from her eyes.

"We gotta get him out of the light." Sam let his arms go under Bill, steadily sweeping him up and carrying him to a dirt spot. He used the shovel that struck René and buried his body, in hopes that he would be safe from the light.

Alexandra pulled Sookie close, cradling her crying sister. She ignored the pain from her body, and tears of her own. She planted a soft kiss on Sookie's forehead.

"It's over, it's all over honey."
