Tall, Dark, and Handsome
I smoothed out my dress, looking myself over in the mirror. It was the first day of my internship, and I wanted to look good. I haven't yet passed my apparition tests, so my mom agreed to apparate me to the quidditch stadium, and to go back I agreed to use the flop. An internship as an assistant for Puddlemere United was a dream come true, and definitely something to brag about, especially to Oliver Wood.
I smiled to myself as I walked downstairs to the kitchen. Mother was already sitting at the kitchen table with a bowl of oatmeal and a newspaper.
"Is there any for me?" I asked, eyeing the single bowl of oatmeal on the table.
"Oh yes, of course, it's on the stove." She said, putting down her morning paper.
"Thanks," I said, grabbing a bowl and walking over to the stove where sat a small pot with oatmeal.
"So how are you feeling about your first day?" I heard her asking me with a mouth full of oatmeal.
"I'm excited," I replied, ladling oatmeal into my small bowl, and dousing it in brown sugar.I walked myself back to the table and plopped down across from my mom.
"I just hope this whole quidditch thing works out for you." She sighed, looking at me with a sad smile.
"I hope so too." I smiled, shoving a large spoonful of oatmeal into my mouth, regretting the amount of sugar I poured in because it was now too sweet for my liking.
"Your father would be proud of you sweetheart." She said, blinking away visible tears.
"Thanks, mum." I felt my eyes go bleary as well

With a crack I was standing in front of a large stadium, clinging to my mother's arm for dear life. Apparation was disorienting, and it took me a few seconds to feel myself steady.
"Well, are you going to go in?" My mother looked over at me, as I was still clutching her arm.
"Yeah, thanks, mum." I pulled away and took a step forwards.
"See you at dinner."With a loud crack, she was gone again.
I smoothed out my dress again and took a shaky breath. The more I thought about what could go wrong, the more nervous I got.
"Stone?" I heard a surprised Scottish voice call out behind me.
I spun around to find myself face to face with a startled looking Oliver Wood. He was wearing a snuggly fitting black turtleneck, with tan high waisted broad legged pants. His outfit accentuated his lean muscles, and I couldn't help but take in his handsome physique.
"Wood?" I gasped in disbelief, knitting my eyebrows together.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, a smile creeping onto his face as he crossed his arms.
"I could ask you the same thing." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Well for your information," Oliver puffed out his chest, "I've been hired as an intern assistant for Puddlemere United."
"Fuck." I felt my eyes widen in realization. "Please tell me you're joking."
"Jealousy isn't a flattering trait, especially on you, Stone." Oliver chuckled victoriously.
"No you dipshit," I rolled my eyes, "We have the same position."
Oliver's smirk left his face immediately."You're kidding?" He gaped at me.
"You think involuntarily spending my summer with you would make a funny joke?" I groaned, stomping towards the door to the stadium.
The cool air of the interior foyer hit me in contrast to the heat outside. There was a small receptionist desk, with a young witch with blonde hair sitting behind it. She had bright red lipstick that looked even more eccentric with her pale skin.
Oliver stumbled in after me."You must be ze new interns." The blonde said, not raising her eyes from the book she was holding.
Her English was good, but her slight Russian accent didn't go unnoticed by me.
"Yes, we've come for the summer internship," Oliver said eagerly, casting sideways glances at me.
"I know, you are Y/n Stone and Oliver Wood, yes?" She slowly raised her head, looking over at us.
"Yeah." I smiled. "That's us."
"I'm Katherine Volkova, but I go by Katya." She said without a hint of a smile. "I will be your mentor for the summer."
"So how does this work?" Oliver asked, looking around.
"Puddlemere United is one of the best quidditch teams of the world." Katya yawned. "Ve," she said pointing around us. "Are zeir assistants."
"And what does that entail?" I looked at her questioningly as she stood up and walked from behind the desk and to us.
She was tall and reminded me something of a supermodel I once saw in a muggle beauty magazine. Her long shiny blond, practically platinum, hair reaching below her waist. She had large gray eyes that pierced right through me, and I couldn't help but feel intimidated.
"Zat we run zeir errands and make sure everything is ready for zem of course." She stated, rolling her eyes. "Zey will arrive for zeir training in twenty minutes."
I chuckled at Oliver's clear embarrassment.
"Here, you seem bright." Katya shoved a clipboard into my hands. "You vill help me take inventory."She started to walk off, and I followed suit.
"Hey, what about me?" Oliver yelled after us.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot." Katya snickered to herself. "You need to go buy coffee for all of the teammates." She quickly stretched out her hand and conjured up a beautiful paper swan, that gracefully flew at Oliver.
"Zat is the order. Be back in no more zan fifteen minutes."She turned back around and pushed open a set of large metal doors.
We stepped into a large well lit stadium, with bright green grass contrasting greatly with the white stands.
"You know how to cast the snitch and bludger charms, yes?" Katya asked pulling her wand out of her back pocket, and I couldn't help but notice the gleam of emeralds on its handle.
"Of course," I beamed.
"Good girl."
We finished casting the charms fairly quickly, and I took note of how talented with magic Katya was. I asked her why she was working a simple office job as we were checking the materials shed.
"I am university student." She answered simply. "I need money."
I nodded, not knowing what else to say. We had just started walking back to the foyer, as the Puddlemere team burst through the doors. I was taken aback by the men in front of us. They were all tall, with intense stares, and muscles that were clearly visible from under their thin shirts. It took all of me not to drool and fangirl at the sight, and by the looks of Oliver behind them, he was thinking the same thing.
"Morning darling." The man I recognized as Benjy Williams, the seeker, planted a quick kiss on Katya's cheek."Hello babe." She smiled a genuine smile, her eyes sparkling with adoration."This must be the second intern."
He grinned, outstretching his large hand to me in a handshake.
"The one and only," I smirked, taking it firmly, regaining my composure.
"I thought our luck at gorgeous assistants ended with Katya." Another man stepped next to us.I instantly recognized him as one of the chasers, and the youngest member of Puddlemere, Vincent Ford.
He was fresh out of school, and despite only being seventeen he looked quite mature. He was tall, with shaggy black curls that effortlessly framed his finely chiselled face. His deep black eyes were alluring beyond belief, and he was an even bigger heartthrob in person compared to the magazines.
"Y/n Stone." I smiled, consciously making sure my eyes weren't turning into hearts.
"Say, how old are you?" He asked, giving me a smile showcasing his perfect white teeth going nicely against his light olive skin.
"Sixteen." I grinned like an idiot.
"Good." He chuckled softly.
"Ay Ford, quit suffocating the intern, it's only her first day." Hollered Adam Grimsby, one of the beaters.
"I'll see you around Stone." Vincent winked and turned to join the rest of his teammates, who were by now almost at the field.
I turned back to Katya and Oliver and felt myself blush furiously."Nice catch." Katya snickered.
"Did Vincent fucking Ford just hit on you?" Oliver whispered breathlessly, his face unreadable.
