okay so technically i read this book in the winter of 2024, but i wound up loving it so much i re-read it a few months ago. the gist of the story is margo, a 19 year old waitress and english student, winds up pregnant with her professor's child. deciding to keep the baby, she makes an onlyfans account to keep her and her newborn afloat.

genuinely, this was one of the best books i have ever read. the humor is phenomenal, but what really got me was the social commentary. the desperation you can feel through margo is so intense, you almost forget this book is (what i think to be) satire. it's sharp, witty, truly genius storytelling. i laughed. i cried. i wanted more.

luckily for me, i will be getting more, because it's being made into a tv show starring ELLE FUCKING FANNING??? i'm so beyond excited to see these characters come to life.
