An opportunity has presented itself—the moment is now!

Our scouts have been watching the patrols and learned that on the 28th of February 2025, the Regime is honoring their Overlord with a new monument in the Capitol. This means they won't be monitoring the outskirts as strictly and the Page Masters will be able to move about and collect the first chapters of your stories.

Start writing now and write vehemently, my friends, for the 28th will come swiftly, and we might not have another opportunity to collect your stories.

Round One Guidelines To Remember:

> Your story must not have existed before 1 February 2025. Please do not repurpose an old draft, you need to create a brand-new one. Post it as a stand-alone story on your Wattpad profile.

> Your story must follow at least one of the prompts listed in the chapter's prompts. Alterations and interpretations are fine as long as the general core of the prompt is still recognizable to the judges. You can combine prompts.

> You must write at least 2000 words before 28 February 2025. You can write more, but anything less than 2k will not be eligible.

> Prologues will not count towards the word goal. We encourage you to jump straight into chapter one and utilize the limited word count for storytelling instead. Please title your chapters so we know where chapter one is and how to follow along. This means you can name each chapter any way you want as long as they are unique and we ask that you identify chapter one for us (e.g. just add something like Chapter 1, CH1, First Chapter, etc.)

> We also encourage you to skip all the distractions at the story's beginning, like author's notes, cast lists, aesthetics, etc. If you want to add any of these, please move them to the back (add them at the end of this story in separate chapters). They can influence the word count when you add them to the chapter itself and this makes it hard for us, we want to focus on judging and not counting words every time someone adds author notes =)

> You can submit more than one story in Round One.

The form will open on 10 February 2025 and close again on 28 February 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time.

If you pivot, and change your story title or username after submitting, you need to let us know via the form linked in the Submissions Chapter.
