IF THINGS HAD THEIR WAY

If puddles had a magical world at the other end,

Earth won't be overpopulated.

If monsters were really under beds,

Everyone won't have a place to rest their heads.

If mirrors were really the key to perfection,

No one would be able to stand their reflection.

If mannequins had a say,

We would rot and be put away.

If living was easy,

Cemeteries won't be so creepy.

If things really had their way,

We humans won't carry on with our day.

I, the poet isn't so busy,

So thanks for letting me be preachy.
