Thanks for the memories

We sit and think

Some of us still use pen and ink

We write what we choose

More often than not we lose

We are all chalk and cheese

But our common aim is to please

We don't shout but need to be heard

Not just be part of a herd

We want to be different

But not insignificant

We spend a lot of time alone

While others talk for hours on the phone

We came together

Hoping it would last forever

We have embraced the younger

And seen, one-hit wonders wander

We've had times to treasure

Experienced things difficult to measure

We have a don't give in mentality

But may have to face a harsh reality

We live in a fickle time of constant change

And life without you would be strange

We want to see you rise from the ash

Like a Phoenix, so don't be rash
