Over the two centuries or more that had passed since the Vampire Queen was killed, to secure the Princesses reign of terror, the Chateau had become more of a Gothic Fortress.

But the demonic Sisters had a fatal flaw they did not possess the Vampire Queens powers of persuasion to protect their sovereignty or her immortality, for in time they would pass just like their Endophyn slaves. Their dynasty was based on incest, the best male breeding stock was kept and pampered, but most were slaughtered for their blood which they mixed with wine and drank and their flesh was often eaten raw or roasted on a spit. They were the lucky ones for they enjoyed watching others wriggle, whilst simmering in an open pot, along with the odd Endophyn which was considered a delicacy even though their taste was considered disgusting. The demon sisters had turned cannibalism into an art form and were constantly in search of new ways to torture their food, which was thought to improve its flavour.
