quize
Her steps were quick, leaving soft impressions in the earth. It was still day, people still busying around; rushing to return home before night fell.
Erica stood near the back of the home, her eyes watching the window with concentration She would only go up if the girl was home. She didn't need some kind of trail leading to her every step.
Erica was still as she watched the light in Bella's room turn on. Her figure frozen as she waited to see who was there. From her spot, she could hear only two heartbeats, but she wanted to be certain they belonged to the Swan's.
She was anxious, multiple possibilities led to the wolves checking on Isabella's safety. It was something she, herself, would have done.
The day slowly fell into night. Erica was uncertain of how long she had been waiting. It surprised her, how long she had stood around waiting for something she wasn't positive was to happen. She had never had the patience for much.
Climbing the side of the home was easy; sliding through the window was easy. Erica was glad to know that Bella continued to leave the in unlocked.
"It's a lovely night," Erica spoke, holding back a laugh as the human fell from her bed. "I think it could do with a bit of snow to set the mood, but it's otherwise lovely."
"What are you doing here?" Bella sputtered. "What happened to your shirt?"
Erica blinked at the girl lazily before making a show of glancing to her shoulder. She could see a few rips on her shoulder and multiple at the front.
"I got into it with the wolves." Erica enunciated her words clearly for the human girl. "Dirty creatures thought they could sop me from doing something I wanted."
"Looks like they almost stopped you," Bella mumbled.
Erica flashed the girl a toothy grin, white teeth shimmering at the human in amusement. "I was trying to get to you, they think I will I kill you right away."
The vampire watches as Bella's eyes widen in shock before she snorts in amusement. The human's eyes crinkling as she laughs. They both knew that Erica was going to kill her eventually, it all depended on if she would be turning into a vampire or not.
Pulling her eyes away from the odd human, she scanned the room. Based on the smell, the room's occupant was still struggling at times. It smelled stuffy, dust and dirty laundry filled the area; Erica curl her nose up it. It was still slightly messy; books were littered various surfaces, clothes discarded randomly around the space.
Erica thought that the girl needed to tidy up.
"Did you plan to kill me anytime soon?" Bella voiced her thoughts quietly. "Is Victoria coming?"
She regarded the girl with disinterest. She could sense her fear, but she didn't care.
"If my sister was to be gracing us wither presence, I would not broadcast it. She does not seek the thrill of danger the way I do." Erica strolled toward the human's closet and began sifting through her clothes. "My killing you depends on your currents thoughts about becoming a vampire."
"You still want to change me?"
"I would not be protecting you so thoroughly otherwise, Isabella. It is important that either myself or my sister are the end of your human life." Pulling a white shirt from a hanger, she holds it to her body. "No offense to you, but the two of us have a reputation to uphold."
Erica pulled her current shirt over her head and tossed it to the side, and replaced it with the white one that belonged to Bella. "You don't mind, do you?" Erica questioned, even though she was already wearing the shirt.
Bella shook her head slowly and waited for the vampire to continue.
"Right, so where was I?" Erica asked. She moved around the room, every so often she would pick up some trinket of device and regard it with confusion.
"Reputation," Bella offers.
"Right! You see, my brother was viewed as one of the most bloodthirsty among our kind for a long time. I was right up there with him as well. The two of us were offered to join the Volturi many times, it was them that gave me the name Snow Queen." Erica explained slowly, letting the human have the appropriate amount of time to think about what she was saying.
"Why didn't you go with them?" Bela questioned.
She sent the girl a feral smile. "I wouldn't have been having nearly as much fun."
A loud bump could be heard at the side of the house, narrowing her eyes, Erica stood in front of Bella ready to defend her if need be. Upon smelling the intruder, she groaned audibly and rubbed at her face.
"What I it with these mutts?!" She exclaimed, eyes wide and angry. "They always just show up at the worst of times!"
Jacob slid in through the window, body trembling as his eyes searched Bella for any harm. His entire figure leaned towards Erica, causing the vampire to tense in anticipation.
"What are you doing here?" he spoke through clenched teeth.
Smiling brightly, she flopped onto Bella's bed and rolled around pretending to get comfortable. Her smile widened as his jaw ticked.
"We were just catching up, having a bit of a girl-chat," she batted her eyelashes and twirled her hair for effect. "But it seems that Bella forgot that I have that pesky dog allergy."
Bella jumped as Jacob growled at her, his body rippled with anger. Erica stared at him innocently and jumped off the bed and moved towards the window.
"I best be off, little pet. I will be back soon though." Climbing out the window, she dropped to the ground silently and paused for a moment. Shaking her head, she jumped up back up and latched her hands to the side of the house to hold herself up. "Do make sure to walk your pup before my next visit."
Disappearing from sight, she sped through the trees. She could sense him following her, sense as he drew near enough for her see glimpses of him through the trees. His body was strong, muscles rippled as he easily ran her speed. His sleek grey fur shimmered when the moonlight touched it, giving him the appearance of a graceful ghost.
Despite herself, she giggled softly. Her body pushing her to move towards him. Erica held herself back, deciding that he if was going to speak with her then he would need to earn it. He would have to win a game he had no idea he was playing.
She couldn't help but find it ironic that she was the one taking her dog on a run.
