Under the Bridge PART ONE - Frank Woods X Reader

Hey guys, so I finally put out another fic for you all. Please send requests, I need some!!!

TW: Strong language, mention of death/mercy suicide. If you are sensitive to this content please click away.

"Y/N, get the fuck down you idiot!" Woods yelled, pushing you down behind cover. You were in the middle of a firefight, and you guys were severely low on ammo.

You got back up quickly, and again began to fire on enemies that gave you grief. Adler had gotten a pretty bad gash on his arm which thankfully, you had wrapped him up with some homemade bandages.

You were by no means a nurse, doctor, or health care worker, you just remembered some first aid training. Park had fallen and given herself a pretty bad cut. You quickly cleaned her up and sent her on her way.

Woods was fine. But you on the other hand, not so good. You had deep lacerations, severel gunshot wounds, a concussion, and a broken leg. You didn't know how you were up, but you were. You were determined to go home.

By this time, the adrenaline had kicked in, and you were ready to die with a fight. But you always knew, deep down that you would die in the line of battle with Frank at your side. He had seen every side of you and how you handled yourself.

He saw you struggling in this fight, even with how strong you are. He saw how pale you were, and the amount of blood still gushing from the makeshift bandage you made from tall grass. You had used whatever you had left on Adler, Park, and Woods himself.

That's what Frank fell in love with about you. Not your body, and not just the beauty. The intelligence, the leadership, strong will, and how much you could endure. This man watched you carry an injured civilian from the emergency tent to the next base over, almost 20 miles away.

He watched you also give up food and drink for yourself so parts of your team could eat. You were on such a high pedestal for Frank, he could not get enough. But what drove him bonkers was when you always put yourself down, or let yourself get so hurt you would collapse.

Back in present time, you pushed towards the bridge that was the only exit back to exfil. You were already on a time crunch, so you took the lead and jumped right into battle when needed.

You could feel yourself starting to choke up. You pushed through pain, and almost tears as you sprinted, hiding an incoming limp. You could always be fixed back at base, right?

You and the team took cover behind the concrete holdings of the brown bridge as bullets rushed and ziplined past your heads. You looked over at Adler and went over a quick game plan.

"Adler, you are going to take Park, Mason, Lazar, and Woods around the left side. I'll provide cover and overwatch until you have all one by one gotten into the bird. You have Belikov meet me 10 clicks North of the bridge, I'll run there to avoid detection." You spoke calmly.

Adler shook his head, and looked you dead in the eyes. He took off his sunglasses.

"Y/N, this is a suicide mission! You won't last two minutes against the amount of people they have. You should push with us around the right side, and then jump down." Adler rejected.

Woods overheard this plan, and his stomach dropped. Not you, not today.

A bullet ricocheted right off his m16 and it make him look.

"Adler, just trust me. You have to run, half these people are injured and won't survive this push. I have a better chance if I can run around and withdrawal hostile fire. I'm a human shield today!" You exclaimed.

You gave his shoulder a tap and shooed him on his way.

"Now go, Lazar only has so much time." You said, getting into a crouched position with your rifle crossed. You looked up and in a badass fashion, shot a flying exploding barrell that took out almost 4 guys.

"No way in hell! I'm staying with you, we're all getting out Y/N, stop playing hero and let's go!" Woods shouted.

You looked at him, and flashed him a grin.

"I'm no hero, not in the slightest. We'll all be dead if you don't listen to me though. We are this close to catching Perseus, and you want to give it up? Go, go run. I'll be waiting 20 clicks North! I mean it!" You shouted, lightly shoving him.

Frank and Adler knew, they couldn't get through to you. They knew you were right, this was the most strategic and safest way for the injured to have a chance. You were going to risk it all.

Adler slid you more clips for your gun, and slumped Lazar over his shoulder. Frank sighed and looked you dead in the eyes.

"First drink is on me, you better fuckin' live or else I'll die, and haunt your ghost ass myself!" Frank said, picking up a hurt Park.

Adler nodded at you, and looked you over. He knew you weren't going to last long in such a state.

You smirked and gave them a pat, before taking a ranger's stance for the biggest fight of your life.

"Don't sweat it boss, we have a job to do." You said, laying out covering fire.

You stood up and moved to different cover, lighting a molotov and sending it towards a group. You shot and shot, before finally making it up to the middle.

Meanwhile, Adler and Woods got everybody ready to zipline down to where medvac was waiting, and Belikov. Woods had a sick feeling in his stomach......

With one clip left, you saw your life flash before your eyes. You had now two options in this moment.

You could either run and take a flying leap off the bridge into deep, blue serene water, and most likely die from the fall, or turn the very gun on yourself.

You knew Frank was waiting for you though. You loved him honestly, he's what kept you going.

You heard shouting and charges being set. You knew what was happening. They are gonna blow this bridge to pieces, and they didn't care who it killed.

You stood up and saw an enemy had the remote in his hand, and he held it up.

You knew in that moment, the water would be better. They'd never find you, so you darted towards the right side, jumping the barricade.

You were on autopilot. You couldn't control what your body was doing and wanted, if you did the pain would only weigh you down.

The shouting of the enemy was no longer there as you took a flying leap towards the final cold, concrete protecter and ripped your beloved leather jacket off, slinging it behind you.

This was it. Your body was spread eagle, the cold wind was nipping at your face as you fell. You honestly felt like you were flying.

The beautiful purpleish colored sunset gave your eyes a glow only Frank could give you. You had forgotten about everything, until you heard the massive explosion behind you. Then, it all went black.......

*Woods POV*

A sick feeling took over his stomach. He shouldn't have left you as a one man army up there. It just wasn't right.

After getting everybody in, him and Adler watched the bridge. They heard and saw the fight, and then it suddenly stopped. They both seemed worried, and all the more confused.

Why would the Reds cease fire now? They had you by the balls. That is, if they could catch you.

"Adler....Something isn't right. Y/N never stops like that...." Woods trailed off. And he was right, you are feisty as can be.

Suddenly, they both saw the Reds placing things all over. They couldn't see what it was until it was too late.

Frank watched some debrie or what now, looked like a person jump off the bridge to the far right. He jumped up and ran a little closer for a better view.

His heart beat so fast, faster than Usain Bolt! What happened next almost dropped him to his knees.

Him and Adler, to their horror watched as the bridge blew into a million different pieces, fire and debrie falling into the water underneath. Woods couldn't even hold himself together at this point.

Park came over the radio in a panic.

"What's happening??" She shouted.

"They blew the damn bridge!" Frank screamed in horror.

Your current status was unknown, but now labled as KIA.
