My Antidote- A Lokiara One-shot
"We should not be doing this!" I hissed to Loki. "Really, I do not want us to get into any trouble!"
"Relax, darling," Loki assured me. "It is not like it is forbidden for you to visit me."
"I feel like I am committing a crime."
"Which you are not."
"Still, if someone sees—"
"Then let them." Loki shrugged. "It is only a matter of time."
"Yes, I know, but it will look very suspicious if someone catches me—a common maiden—in your bedroom. I do not want to have a bad reputation, and I would never want you to have one."
"You worry too much, Kiara, you really do. You stress so easily. You need to take a deep breath or two and clear your head."
"I cannot!" I fumed.
"Darling." A hand grabbed my arm, stopping my pacing. "Relax." He brushed a strand of blonde hair away from my face. He smiled sheepishly at me. "I don't know whether I prefer your hair down or in a braid."
I snorted. "Really? This is your method of distracting me, by deciding what hair you prefer me to have?"
"What else do you want me to do? I tell you to calm down, and I only make you worse! Now, close your eyes."
"Loki—"
"Please."
I huffed, obeying his order.
"Count to ten, out loud."
"Why?"
"Trust me, Kiara. Do it."
"Fine. One, two, three, four, five"—I felt his breath touch my face—"six, seven, eight, nine—"
Ten, I thought, as my lips were a bit preoccupied. My hands found his face, keeping him close to me while his hands respectively found my waist. It was a good thing the doorway was shut. Loki should have just decided on this as a first resort, it was working. My worry dissolved under his touch. He was my antidote: whatever worries I had he made go away.
I did not realize just how close we were to a wall until my back was against it. A low hum rumbled in my throat as Loki moved his lips all around my face, not forgetting an inch. I sighed dreamily, losing myself in this moment.
"This is better, is it not?" he crooned, working his way down my jaw line.
"This should not be a solution for everything."
"Deep down you want it to be, you enjoy it too much to find it a bad solution."
My skin prickled. "Any insane woman ruled by her primal instincts would want it to answer all her problems."
"And you claim you are not that woman right now?"
"You know, something does come to mind. How come you are taking control in this?" I got a long kiss out of him. "It is not that I dislike this, but I have affection to give too, you know."
Tauntingly, I placed feather-light kisses along his neck; an area I knew was his weakness. He squirmed under me.
"If you keep going, something more sensual is going to come out of this," he warned me before finally letting a moan slip out of his mouth. "It will be your fault."
"Oh, I see." The bridges of our noses touched. "Now you decide to be afraid. Yet you were the one who told me not to worry. I guess you are not as fearless as you appear."
"Do not call me a coward."
"I am not." I kept my hands firmly on his neck. "Do not take it seriously, Loki. You know I would never say anything to hurt you, just as I know you would never do the same to me." I sighed. "Just think, this could be my everyday life."
"It is, Kiara."
"You do not understand. I mean, if we were to marry."
"I do not think there is an if about it." Loki smiled. "Do not take this as a proposal."
"I wasn't going to."
"I will know the right time. I could never picture another woman by my side, even if I am not going to inherit the throne after Father." The smile disappeared.
I smiled sadly at Loki. "Your time will come. Even I suspected Thor would be next in line before you. Though, I can be biased and say that the throne would suit you better." My cheeks flushed.
"Mm, I do like the sound of that." Another long kiss.
"I could always stroke your ego more and start calling you 'my king,'" I teased. I felt him shiver under me. "You like that."
"Very much, yes." I squeaked as he held me closer to him. One of my hands lay on his chest, directly over his heart. It was pulsing madly. "You are doing things to me, Kiara."
"You are not pushing them away," I crooned, kissing his chin. "I would say let whatever it is inside of you take you, but I have a feeling—"
Why did I have to say it?
Loki took the chance, not even daring to ask permission into my mouth. What he wanted, he got. I was waiting for him to take me to the bed and have his way with me. Truthfully, I did fantasize about it every now and again.
"We can always settle this...elsewhere," he panted.
"M-maybe another time," I stammered, trying to catch my breath. "I know I can trust you with such a task, but I would rather commit a mistake once we are tied to each other by marriage."
"It would not be so bad."
"Oh, really? What makes you say that?"
"The child would be no mistake, and it would be ours." He smiled sheepishly.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Like I said, marriage first." I bit my lip, hearing light footsteps just outside of the chambers.
In a way, this was oddly...exciting, the thrill. The possibility of being caught. The chance that we would not be seen.
"Sometimes I think you want us to be caught," I murmured once the person was gone.
"It would not be that bad; you just make things sound a hundred times worse than they really are."
I rolled my eyes. "Forgive me for wanting to try and keep this secret just a little while longer."
"Things can only be hidden for so long."
"If I did not know any better, I would say you want to go blabbing this to your parents right now."
"I am for people knowing, but not so soon." He laughed. "If it makes you feel any better, we will let some know, together, if you are so worried."
"You are not joking?"
"Why would I take away the privilege of us telling this to others? I would never rob you of that."
"What a considerate gentleman. You would make a fine king, and probably a finer husband." I put my head on his chest. "I want to make another agreement."
"All right."
"We do not marry in secret."
"Why would we?"
"I don't know, it sounds like something you would want."
"I think you have it backwards, it would be something you would want."
"At that point in our courtship? I don't think so."
"I sometimes wonder what goes on in your head, Kiara. You are all over the place."
"You can blame yourself on that." I picked my head up to meet his eyes.
"Why would I do that?"
"You make me scatterbrained. You affect me just as much as I affect you." My cheeks grew hot. "I have overstayed my welcome. If I stay any longer, the risk of being seen increases."
Loki pouted, feigning hurt. "What if I don't want you to go just yet?"
"I must."
"I don't think so."
"All right, then. Convince me to stay." I smiled coyly. Truthfully, I really did want to leave before suspicion arose, but I could not help but get sucked into possibly accepting the idea of sticking around a while longer.
It was like Loki was a hypnotist. He was magically gifted, so it would not surprise me if he was good at that as well. He did not need words or actions, all he needed was one look.
One soft, pouty, green-eyed look.
**I wanted this to fit in the story, but as I wrote more for it, it turned into a one-shot.
Ah, young love. How they were so sure they would be together...and then the events of 'Thor' happened...**
