Louisa Lloyd

Sitting by the opened window of my room, Scott and Derek stand when I enter and close the door behind me. Their expressionless faces are what makes me suspicious of their motives.

It's past midnight, the rain hitting my window is the only sound heard in the entire house. They don't move a muscle, don't utter a word. Just stare at me like they're waiting for something to happen.

Waiting for me to snap and attack them. What are they going here? What do they want? Questions swim in the oxen of my mind as their eyes don't leave me.

Slowly walking by them towards my wardrobe, I inspect my surrounding- as I'm already familiarized with them- and search for the knife I keep under my clothes. Taking out my favorite sweater, so they don't suspect I'm about to attack them, and masking my heartbeat, I turn to them with the knife on my hand. But Scott is already in front of me, arms gripping my arms and tightly pressing me against the closet door.

"What is this all about?" I ask, panting and struggling to get away from his grip.

"We need to talk." Scott calmly says as he grips my arms tighter.

"No we don't, you need to stay away from me. I don't want to die because of you."

"We can help you, just trust us." Derek says and turns to Scott. "Let her go."

When Scott's hands are no longer gripping my arms, I rub them and sigh, anger rising inside me.

"What do you want?"

"That's simple. I want you to help me find the teacher we saved at the school." Derek stares at me.

Is he being serious right now?

•^•^•^•^•^•

"There she is." I point at my teacher walking down the hallway towards her classroom.

Heels click across the tile floor, the sound echoing throughout the not so empty corridor, she nervously clutches the strap of her bag and glances behind her.

After a moment, she starts off again, picking up her pace. Turning the corner with another anxious glance, she moves faster and faster, on the verge of breaking into a run.

I smirk. Now it's too late to run away teacher my dear. A small giggle erupts from my throat as I think of Derek, who disappeared to talk to her inside the classroom.

My teacher rushes inside her classroom and slams the door shut. I take this as my opportunity to get closer to the door. And then open it to scare the crap out of both of them.

I'm so mean sometimes.

When I hear a very feminine scream, I giggle quietly. I open the door in them to watch her grab a pointer and swing it at Derek's head. He casually ducks out of the way.

"What do you want? You want to threaten me? Tell me no one's going to believe me? Try to scare me?" She swallows hard and I enter the room. My actions don't catch her attention but I know Derek knows I'm here. "Kill me?"

"I was going to ask if you were okay." Derek simply says and it makes me want to gag. He hasn't stopped thinking about her since that night and now he can't even be a little more romantic and show he cares, somewhere deep down. Really really down.

Deep down in his pants.

"Me?" She asks, trembling from head to toe.

"You."

"Physically or emotionally? Although, I guess that presupposes I was emotionally okay before any of this and according to my therapist that's been debatable for a long time."

Derek steps toward her, causing her to flinch he reaches for the pointer, and I poke her shoulders. She spins around faster than she did when Stiles received a text during her class last week.

"What? You again?" She asks, startled by my presence.

"Hello." I believe she's not very fond of me. Is it because I am her best student? Or because I'm always there when something terrifying is happening in her life?

Strange indeed.

"I think you're going to be okay." I state and cross my arms in front of my chest.

"Obviously, you've never taught high school. In twenty minutes I have to start two dozen teenagers on The Crucible and I honestly have no idea what I'm going to say."

"Yikes." I squeal behind them, now her back to me. Like she's ignoring me. She probably is.

They stare at each other's eyes for the longest time and a small smile reaches my lips. If only Derek could find someone to love.

Okay, where did that come from? I'm not happy Derek is so infatuated by this woman. I still hate him for everything he did.

But you're not sure it was him. Deucalion could have lied to you.

Even my subconscious hates me. Thank you for this, really.

"I have to go." I announce my presence before they forget I'm here and start making out due to the intense sexual tension in the air around them. "Cross country and all that jazz. Bye!"

I happily wave my hand at them and walk away as fast as my legs and human speed allow me. Sighing in relief, I whisper to myself how lucky I am that I decided to leave. They're so going to do the nasty one of these days.

The bus is already waiting for the students near the front of the gates. This is going to be a lovely activity I can just feel it. My feet hit the concrete as I walk towards the bus and two figures appear by my side, scaring me because of their silent approach. I was ready to attack, my arms in front of my face, fists tightly closed.

"What the heck?" I slap their arms and they laugh in unison. "It's not funny. I was going to kick your asses."

"No, you weren't. You should apologizing for even thinking about hurting us." Ethan pouts adorably and pinches my cheeks.

Slapping his hand away from my face and sticking my tongue out, I notice their now serious expressions.

"Oh crap. What now?" I ask, sighing and throwing my hands in the air.

"Deucalion is getting suspicious." Aiden starts. "He is pretty sure you're betraying us. So he sent us out last night to spy on you."

This time I can't even mask my heartbeat. It's frantic and accelerated. I'm going to get caught, they surely felt Derek and Scott's presence there along with mine and Anna's.

"H-how-"

"It doesn't matter." Aiden interrupts me and his twin continues.

"He wants to be sure you're on our side, or else he'll send us to kill you. Or worse..."

"He will do it himself." I finish for him, already shivering. "And it won't be pretty."

"Yeah..." Ethan pats my back.

Then an idea pops on my mind and I flinch internally. It would be so easy to find me, most of the times completely unprotected, and then kill me.

"How come I'm still alive if you spied on me yesterday?"

"Do you really think we would betray you like that?" Ethan sounds extremely offended. "We said there was nothing unusual and that you were having a great time with your housemate and best girl friend, Annabeth James."

I sigh in relief. I don't know what to do now. Hug them or thank god I'm alive and breathing. I choose to do both and thank the twins at the same time.

"Oh my, how can I pay you? This is just- I'm sorry I did it but I didn't have a choice. I don't agree with what we've been doing. Deucalion misled me into believing he's the one who's right and my friends are all wrong he-"

A hand covers my mouth and Aiden smiles sweetly at me. His twin reaches for my shoulders and hugs me tightly against his body. Aiden quickly follows Ethan's lead and we share a warm hug. They're amazing.

"Thank you guys." My voice comes out shaky and muffled by the fact my face is buried in Ethan's chest.

"You're welcome, little sis." They say together and I smile again.

"Ready for this trip to hell?" I ask, unwrapping my arms from theirs.

"What happened to sporty Lou?" Aiden teases. He knows I love playing volleyball and going on runs around the forest.

"Give her a rest. She almost had a stroke when two douches appeared out of nowhere and scared the heck out of her."

They laugh along with me and we turn to get inside the bus. The three of us find a seat at the back of the bus, the kids already sitting there standing quickly as mg steel gaze lands on them.

It feels good being this powerful.

We reach our destination before I can even turn to Aiden and ask why we have to participate in this crap. It's not like I don't enjoy a good run but this doesn't come in handy. I have better things to do.

The students- both boys and girls- gather beyond the fence. Ahead, trails lead into the outlying woods.

At the starting line, Isaac kneels to tighten his shoelaces. I didn't notice him inside the bus, but I didn't notice most of the students around me. I tend to stick by the twins' side at all times. But Aiden isn't with us anymore. I sigh when I see him getting closer and closer to Isaac.

Isaac pauses, completely still. Gripping the laces, his hands curl into fists as he slowly turns to find Aiden getting into position on his right. Ethan steps in at his left and I can't do anything but step next to Ethan and copy their movements.

Whatever we're doing has been ordered by Deucalion and this is a way to prove him I'm on his side. Even if I'm not.

The twins look down on Isaac like an old rival. Coach blows the whisky and the twins race forward, moving far faster than any other runner, my small body following close behind. They've been alphas for a long time, and I'm kinda new at this. I still don't know what alphas feel when they have a pack of Betas turned by them.

I haven't had the pleasure yet. But I want to one day. Have my own pack and protect those I love.

Yeah... Sounds nice.

"Pace yourselves!" Coach yells at the three of us but we just laugh and continue running.

I look back at Isaac and what I see and heart almost make me stop to ask him what's wrong and comfort him. He looks so pained.

I said almost.

Stunned, Isaac kneels there, motionless. But shock falls away to fury and he rises, bolting forward when Scott grabs him, yanking him back. Isaac looks at him with eyes glowing yellow.

"It's them." He whispers and shrugs free of Scott's grasp.

"Isaac, wait- Isaac!"

But he's off, vanishing into the trail. Letting out a frustrated breath, Scott charges after him. Meaning he's running after us as well.

Brilliant. Simply fantastic.

Crushing leaves under my foot as I run, I look back and find Isaac running well beyond the other students. He spots us in front of him, closer to him that the rest of the team.

Isaac races faster, pushing himself to catch up. Aiden grabs my arm and pulls me to his body as the three of us hide among the dense trees.

Isaac, not finding us anywhere near him, stops. Breathing hard, he glances around and is shoved forward, hit from behind. Ethan speeds past on his left. Aiden appears, darting off in the opposite direction.

"Isaac." Ethan taunts him.

His voice echoes out from the trees, spinning him around.

"Isaac." Aiden joins his twin brother and I can't help but feel sorry for Isaac. They're clearly messing with his head.

Aiden steps forward. Catching a glimpse of one twin, Isaac starts forward.

"Still thinking about the girl?" Aiden asks.

Isaac whirls again, searching for the voice. But the twins move too fast, disappearing from his peripheral vision.

"You didn't even know her name, did you?" Its Ethan's time to laugh.

"Doesn't matter now-" Aiden starts and Ethan finishes.

"Since we ripped the bitch apart."

Spinning toward the voice, Isaac launches off a tree trunk, hurtling up. But Aiden grabs him, dragging him to the ground. Ethan yanks him to his feet, easily overpowering him.

"Aiden, I always forget. How many bones are in the human body?" Aiden grabs Isaac's arm.

"I don't know. Let's count."

As soon as  Aiden's grip tightens around Isaac's forearm, I step forward and smash my fist across his jaw, sending him tumbling to the ground.

"Don't you dare." I sneer, feeling my eyes shifting to their haunting red color.

"Lou-" Isaac whispers and I put my hands in the air to silence him.

"Not now..." Turning my face to the side to send him a small smile, I set my eyes on the twins. "Why are you doing this?"

Aiden resets his broken jaw with a painful sounding crunch.

"Deucalion's orders. And you should do the same if you want to stay alive." Aiden answers, spitting blood on the ground. "We aren't going to let you betray our pack like that! You are our pack member, not theirs. You have to protect us not them!"

"I protect those who protect me. In this case, they all did whatever they could to protect me in the past. I won't let bastards like you lot get in my way." I stand in front of Isaac like a protective wall. "You are not going to touch him."

"That's what you think?" Ethan stands back and shares a glance with his twin. "It's two against one."

Out of nowhere comes Scott, Scotty to the rescue. He, like me, takes a defensive position in front of Isaac.

"I think you should count again." Scott says, his eyes shining with mischief.

Isaac wakes up from his shock and stands next to Scott and the five of us circle each other. Claws in the air, fangs snapping and we're all ready to start battling each other when someone screams.

We turn their heads towards the loud, terrified sound. Two runners hurry past, barely noticing us. Hearing others rushing to the scene, I move to follow, pulling Scott and Isaac with me.

We emerge into a clearing where the rest of the team has gathered. Among them, Stiles pushes forward to look while we step in beside him.

"It's him, isn't it?"

"What?" I ask.

But none of them answer me. They stare at the boy's body and I cover my mouth with my hands when Aiden and Ethan appear by my side.

"Let's talk." Before I can say a think and Scott can open his mouth to protest, they disappear with me in Aiden's arms.

"Don't touch me." They throw me on the ground and I grab the edge of a tree to prevent from hitting my head against it.

"You'll die soon if you continue doing this. We can't protect you from Deucalion's actions much longer. You have to make a decision. Us- who took you in when you were lost without a pack in New York- or those jerks who are worth nothing." Aiden almost spits out his words.

Getting up from the floor and looking right into his eyes, I point my finger at him. At both of them.

"Don't tell me what to do." I start. "First, I wasn't lost in New York. I was fine until you found me. Second, those are my friends and you shouldn't insult them in front of me. And lastly, if your touch one tiny hair of any of their heads... You're dead."

The next day is hell. Physics class with Mr. Harris is the worst thug to have first thing in the morning. I'm not even fully awake yet, how does he want me to be productive when there's still the urge to run back home and sleep in my veins?

Chalk strikes across the board with swift strokes, revealing the headline for Mr. Harris's class: "Momentum vs. Inertia". I bang my head against the table and sigh. He doesn't seem no notice. If he did, he didn't comment about it.

"All right, being that Inertia is a subject of which you all know plenty, why don't we start with Momentum." Mr. Harris starts and I groan in pain. Physiological pain.

My usual seat is occupied by Allison, who chose to ditch her own seat next to Scott. So guess who's enduring his fool mood and conversation with Isaac.

Me.

"There's a reason they're here. Just give me a chance to figure it out before you do anything, okay?" Scott leans forward to whisper to Isaac, seated at the desk in front of us. "Isaac?"

He barely seems to be listening, however. Eyes focused forward while Harris continues.

"Danny, what do we know about Momentum?" The teacher asks.

"It's the product of mass and velocity. The more massive something is, the faster it's going."

My eyes suddenly find the door. It's closed but I can sense someone right next of it, on the outside. The hallway is no longer empty as two guys, I recognize their smell, stand side by side near the lockers.

"Mr. Harris, I have to use the bathroom." Harris dismisses Isaac with a wave.

Worried, Scott and I watch Isaac hurry for the door.

"Mr. Harris, I have to go too." I raise my hand and grab my phone from my bag.

"One at a time."

"I really have to go too. Like medical emergency have to go." Scott stands from his chair and gets ready to leave.

"Mr. McCall, if your bladder suddenly exploded and urine began to pour from your every orifice I would still respond one at a time. Is that enough hyperbole for you or should I come up with something more vivid?"

"But I'm a girl, I won't use the same bathroom as the boys." I try to smile like a sweet girl. He seems to fall for it.

"You can go." He points at me and then to Scott. "You're staying."

Scott slumps back down, eyeing my back and the now closed door with trepidation.

Just a few steps ahead of me, Isaac stops. Down the otherwise empty corridor stand Ethan and Aiden. Waiting for him. Probably waiting for a fight. The fight they couldn't have yesterday.

But, like the last fight, I won't let them hurt Isaac.

He doesn't notice my presence, but the twins surely do as they're looking at me. Isaac the. starts moving forward. Until something odd happens.

Aiden reels back and punches Ethan in the face. The twin staggers forward, trying to stay on his feet. While a stunned Isaac watches, Aiden hits his brother again. And again.
Grabbing him by the shirt, Aiden smashes Ethan against the lockers, bouncing him from one side of the corridor to the other until, finally, he hurls his brother to the floor, sending him rolling to a stop.

Right at Isaac's feet.

Classroom doors burst open at the commotion. Harris pushes past students still pouring into the corridor.

"What is this? What's going on?"

Right behind the teacher, Scott looks at Ethan on the floor, bloodied and cowering in front of Isaac. Danny pushes past to help him up.

"You all right?"

"He just came at me."

"Isaac? What the hell did you do?" Mr. Harris shouts.

Finding Scott in the crowd, Ethan's bloodied lips part to give him a small, cruel smile while Isaac simply stares back at Harris, utterly helpless. I raise my eyebrows at Aiden, who smirks and an idea pops on my mind.

"It wasn't him." I say and every eye falls on me.

"What are you doing here, Miss Lloyd?" The teacher asks. "I thought you wanted to use the restroom and it is just down the hall."

"I saw the entire thing and I stopped. I was shocked that Aiden would hurt his own twin and make it look like Isaac is the one to blame." I look at Mr. Harris sadly and he pats my back. "It was horrible, Mr. Harris. They wanted to put the blame on Isaac. Why are they being so mean?"

"I have to punish someone." Mr. Harris looks at the twins, who sneer back at him. "Louisa, Isaac, lunchtime detention."

Rushing past us, our stupid teacher leaves behind a crowd of shocked students. Everyone has the same opinion: Isaac is to blame. It's like they don't want to believe our version of the events. The bell rings and even more students fill the large corridors.

"Fuck." Isaac whispers and comes to my side. "Thank you for defending me."

This is the first time he has talked to me since our uncomfortable discussion outside the school the other day. He stares at my eyes and I smile.

"It's no big deal." I say back. "I wasn't going to stand there and watch you suffer because of those bastards."

Something in his eyes switch as he hears my words. I smile once again, as sadness finds its way to the bottom of my heart. The realization that he'll never love me again like he did before hits me harder than it should. It's unbearable to think someone you once held so close is now so far away.

"See you in detention." I wave my hand at him and walk to my locker.

This is going to be a long day.

•^•^•^•^•^•

In front of the chalkboard on which is written LUNCHTIME DETENTION, Mr. Harris eyes me and Isaac like we're meat. There are other students here with us and he points to the two students on the back first.

"The two of you will wash all of the boards on this wing." He turns to the next two. "Re-shelving in the library." And he finally assigns me and Isaac some task. "Restocking the janitor's closet."

My heart flips inside my chest when he chooses us to be a team. That means I'll have to work with him.

Isaac approaches Mr. Harris, trying not to be heard by me.

"Do I have to be with her?"

"Well, now that I know you'd prefer not to? Yes, you have to be with her."

Isaac turns back to me as I offer up a weak smile.

We walk in silence to the basement. Down in the murky darkness of the school's basement, I wheel in a cart of boxes while Isaac carries several of his own. We head into the janitor's closet in silence and get to work restocking the shelves. Backs to each other, Isaac bumps me with an elbow.

"Sorry."

"You okay there, buddy?"

"Just not big on small spaces."

"Oh." I pause what I'm doing and look at him from the corner of my eyes. "Can I ask you something?"

"Do you have to?" He sounds uncomfortable and angry at the same time. It's mainly due to the fact he's in a small space with me, and it probably reminds him of his 'freezer times'.

"Yes. Why aren't you talking to me?" I ask, crossing my arms around my chest and looking up at him.

"Do I have to talk to you?"

"Indeed you have." I slam my hand on the box he's currently trying- and I really mean trying because he's just messing with it and not doing a thing- to unpack and gather his entire attention. "I don't want to fight again but this is getting ridiculous. Why can't you just accept that I'm back and I want to be your friend?"

Saying that I want to be his 'friend' is something I wasn't planning on doing but it just came out of my mouth faster than I expected. I'm tired of his behavior towards me.

Before he can answer, the door clicks shut behind us. We share a nervous look. Isaac grabs the knob and gives it a turn. When he pushes forward, though, the door won't move.

"Maybe it locks from the outside?" I suggest, the topic of our conversation forgotten.

"I think something's blocking it." Keeping the knob turned, he pushes again. Then turns his shoulder to it, giving a harder shove. But the door won't budge. He steps back, breath tightening noticeably.

"Okay, just calm down-"

Isaac slams his shoulder against the door. Then again, harder and harder, anger and desperation taking hold.

"Isaac-"

With a shout of frustration, he pounds a fist against the door. Keeping my own breathing normal, I watch his hands lower, noticing his claws are extended.

"Okay, Isaac, just relax."

Chest rising and falling with each heavy breath, he seems to be trying to maintain control. But then he turns to the door again, slamming his fists against it.

"Isaac stop!" I hug him from behind and press my body against his back, trying to stop him from hurting himself. "Isaac!"

Claws digging into the door, Isaac clenches his fanged teeth in panicked rage. At my actions, Isaac snaps his yellow eyes towards me.

"Isaac... Isaac, calm down..."

Fangs bared, he looks down at me as his chest rises and falls. I bury my head on his back, the smell of coffee and clean clothes filling my nose. His smell. I sigh and tighten my hold on him.

When I don't hear any other sounds coming from him, I open my eyes and retreat from his figure. I realize something.

I helped him calm down, didn't I?

When I'm about to ask him how he's feeling, someone yanks the door open and Isaac draws a protective arm in front of my body. We sigh in relief when Scott eyes a fallen soda machine, probably used to block the door, his expression darkening.

"Isaac." Scott says, clearly mad. "I guess now we know they want to do more than get you angry. They want to get someone hurt."

"The twins?" I ask, my hand gripping Isaac's arm.

"Who else?" Scott shrugs.

"So are we going to do something?" Isaac asks.

"Yeah. I'm going to get them angry. Really angry." Scott smiles and chills run down my spine.

•^•^•^•^•^•

"Are you sure this is going to work?"

"Yes, just do it."

With Isaac standing watch, I kneel by Aiden's motorcycle. I twist a small, copper wire between my fingers and get to work, pulling out the bike's fuse.

"How long is this going to-"

I push the start button and the bike roars to life. Impressed, Isaac gets on, placing his hands around the grips. Beside him, I point to the left pedal.

"Okay, you kick that down and press the clutch with your left hand to put it in gear." I lean closer, placing my hand over his. "This is the front brake and this is the throttle."

"Wow, you know a lot about bikes." He says, a little out of breath.

"I had a bike in New York."

I squeeze his hand to demonstrate. The engine comes to life. With our faces mere inches apart, I lightly cough and point to the right pedal.

"And that's the back brake. For stopping. So try not to crash."

"Yeah, been there, done that." Isaac clears his throat but I can still hear his husky tone. That makes me smile.

I take a picture with my phone and click send to let Scott know we're ready to fight.

We wait for the right moment to act. Keeping my ears inside the classroom I know the twins and Scott are in, I smile when I hear Scott's words.

"This looks kind of important." He says as he shows Aiden the mechanical parts of his precious bike. "No idea what this is."

"Now." I tap Isaac's shoulder and he swiftly leaves me behind in a cloud of smoke, driving the bike like a pro.

I run, following Isaac close behind. Engine roaring, Isaac tears down the corridor on the motorcycle. He soars past the locker room, heading right for Aiden who comes hurtling down the stairs. Isaac hits the brakes, skidding towards him.

Aiden grabs the handlebars, stopping the bike short. The tires screech and spin, kicking up smoke.

"Get off my bike." Aiden barks.

"No problem." Isaac smile brightly and jumps up onto the seat, flips off the bike and right over Aiden's head. He lands just as the hall fills with teachers and students.

Our teacher, Ms. Blake pushes through the crowd in time to see Aiden turning off the bike, engine sputtering to silence.

"You've got to be kidding me. You know this is going to result in a suspension?"

From Aiden's fuming look it's clear he did not know this. This is exactly what we were waiting for. As a trio- Isaac, Scott and I- we smile and high five each other.

"Done." Scott hugs me and whispers.

•^•^•^•^•^•

Leaning my body against the wall as I wait for Scott and Isaac to leave the locker room, I can't help but smile at today's events. Isaac is now talking to me and I got to hug him, even if not during the circumstances.

Hearing their voices, I open my eyes and take a step to the side, walking in the middle of the two boys.

Turning the corner in the empty hallway, I listen to their conversation, not wanting to disturb them.

"I wish I could've seen their faces." Isaac hits his hands against the locker. "Did they look seriously pissed?"

Scott stops short. I follow his eyes and sigh. This has been a long day, why can't they just leave us alone?

"Yeah. Kind of like that." Scott says.

"We're screwed." I whisper at the same time.

At the other end of the corridor stand Ethan and Aiden. They make a slow, deliberate approach. Ethan casually begins to pull off his shirt.

Scott throws a worried glance to Isaac. Then looks back to the twins. I see Aiden stab his hand into Ethan's back. The two bodies begin to merge, growing in size, bones crunching together, flesh expanding.

"Holy..." Scott whistles.

"Yeah. It's bad." Isaac says.

Rising to its full height, the Twin Alpha starts forward. Isaac steadies himself, ready to fight.

"We can take him." I wave my closed fists in front of my face, ready to fight them.

"Are you kidding?"

Grabbing Isaac and my arm, Scott turns him around to run. But we don't move fast enough.

The Twin Alpha lands its powerful hands on Isaac and Scott, lifting each one right off his feet and swinging them together. I fall on the floor, hitting my head against the lockers.

"Oh- you're dead." I shout as Isaac and Scott slam into each other like crashing cymbals.

Then slam into each other again. The Twin Alpha whirls about and hurls them down the corridor. They tumble, sliding to a stop on the floor right near the tipo of a cane.

The Twin Alpha pauses, breath held in fear. Just like me.

Scott pushes himself up to watch the silhouette of the Twin Alpha break back into two bodies while the man with the cane calmly approaches.

Pulling the rubber tip from the end to reveal a sharp blade, Deucalion raises the cane. Then, in one swift stroke, he whips the blade across both Ethan and Aiden's cheeks.

They take the cut with only the slightest gasp of pain. Then he does the same to me. I hiss and clutch my cheek in pain. Deucalion slips the rubber tip back on the cane and turns to leave.

Eyes filled with rage, the twins give a last look at Scott and Isaac. They look down at me like they're waiting for me to stand and follow them. Deciding to prank them, I stand. The three start walking again, convinced I'm going to just go after them.

I lean against the locker, dizzy because of the hit just a few seconds ago, and take unsteady but fast steps to Scott and Stiles. The twins and Deucalion look back at me and the leader laughs. Maniacally.

They then leave in silence.

"Who the hell was that?" Isaac really sounds confused, like he can't sense my anger.

"Deucalion." Scott answers for me after looking down at my scared figure.

"I'm dead." I bite my thumb nail and close my eyes, now filled with unshed tears. "Anna..."

I remember her and the fact Deucalion is going after everyone I love after this betrayal. Not even looking back at the two boys shouting my name, I run as fast as I bullet to my house, scaring the crap out of Anna.

"Pack your bags, now!" I shout as I start to gather my stuff upstairs in my room. "We're in danger, come on!"

I don't have to tell her twice. She is ready before I am, and takes a big black backpack from her closet, stuffing it with food and girl necessities. I gather my clothes, shoes, phone, laptop, favorite teddy bear and my mother's jewelry box and run downstairs to meet Anna, who's looking down at her feet. I can tell she's trying to hide her tears from me.

"Don't worry." I pat her back and grab the car keys from the small entrance cabinet. "I know someone who can help us."

When we're sure we are ready to leave the house of our dreams behind, Anna starts questioning me about our situation. So I explain what happened today and she sighs in annoyance.

"Why is this Deucalion dude so eager to ruin your life?"

I know her comment wasn't meant to be heard by my ears, but I can't help it my supernatural senses catch every sound and scent in miles.

"Don't worry. He won't hurt us." I pat her leg and drive.

The familiar streets pass my as my eyes focus on one specific house. Hitting the brakes, I stop in front of Scott's house.

I just hope he doesn't close the door on my face.

"Come on." I turn the car off and open the door, carrying my bags with me as Anna does the same with hers. "Let's see if he's home."

Then, as soon as we close our car doors, rain starts pouring down on us. Anna lets out a surprised gasp and runs to the porch. Once we're safely under it, I'm already soaking wet. I knock on the front door and hear Scott getting up from his room upstairs.

"Mom, did you forget your keys again?"

The door opens but it's not his mom. When he sees me and my best friend looking at him with puppy eyes,

"Hey. Was wondering if I could ask you a favor." I smile and he sighs.

"Three guests... Amazing." He opens the door and we enter he comfortable and warm house I once called home.

"Three?" Anna asks and I shrug.

"Yeah..." Scott guides us upstairs and leans against my old room's door. "I'm going to warn you, Lou. Anna- is that correct- is going to sleep in the guest room and you'll be staying in your old room. But there's something else..."

I raise my eyebrows at him and wait for his revelation. A heartbeat can be heard from inside my old room. I glance at the two idiots around me and quietly open the door. What- more like who- stands inside takes my breath away. From both awe and anger.

"Hey."

I just want to say I wasn't feeling it while writing this chapter. It's probably crappy and I apologize for that but I don't like it. I wasn't okay emotionally and I think I let it show on my writing.
Btw, any SasuSaku fans out there that noticed what I did? *wink wink*
Some revelations are going to be made in the next chapter.... So I'm apologizing right now because most of you won't like it.
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed this and I promise the next chapter is going to be a lot better. I hope. Spring Break is here so I don't think I'm going to have a lot of time to write and update but, as always, I'll do my best.
Thank you for reading! Comments and votes are appreciated and positive vibes only!
See you next time guys!
Bye bye.
