CHAPTER 16
"That was a splendid performance", "Spellbinding", "Wish the performance was longer", "Great job, kids", "That was one captivating performance". The band was flooded with appreciation as soon as the event came to an end. They couldn't thank enough for the love they were getting for their first performance.
Ray Industries Board of Directors Samuel Chong attended the event on behalf of the company. Congratulating them on their first public performance, Samuel had promised to recommend their band for their company's future upcoming events.
Along with that he had also reminded Anuradha to attend a BOD meeting that she has been avoiding to attend since she joined college. " I will definitely be there if time permits, Mr. Chong"
The fundraiser has been a successful event for the welfare organisation. George Lindsay the welfare manager came running behind the band as they walked to their car ready to leave.
"Thank you so much, all of you. If there wasn't your band, we might not have achieved our target collection for renovating our infrastructure" the organiser thanked, shaking hands with Manoj.
"Oh, you don't have to Mr. Lindsay. It's our pleasure to help you and your organisation" Manoj humbly replied.
"I must say it's your fantastic arrangement that invited many people here" Shika added.
"Definitely no, young lady. Many came only after your performance started roaring the entire area. It's surely because of you, talented people" George replied, giving a contented smile and a hand shake to all and bid them good bye.

"I think we should no longer wait for the any confirmation" Anuradha spoke once the waitress left the table with their orders.
"Did you tried to contact David?" Christopher asked.
"I'm trying to call him, even now. He just isn't picking up" Cameron said cancelling another unattended call.
"Told Mrs. Gracie about it already?" Manohar looked at Anuradha who was biting her nails.
"Not yet, will speak to her as soon as we reach college"
The whole competition thing has been taking a toll on Anuradha ever since she got the news of their college name isn't in list. Could she even get them in the list, she herself begin to doubt about the possibilities?

As soon as Anuradha spoke to Mrs. Gracie, she immediately joined her team for the rehearsals.
They were rehearsing a play a romantic comedy called Yvette. Anuradha was sure that no college would have chosen Yvette set in 1885 script since it's a least popular script, hence practicing this script wouldn't be much of a lost if other scripts were taken.
Walk through scene 4: The Marquise Obardi's salon (a large reception room)
Anuradha playing as Yvette while Manohar as Servigny along with them, there were six more as side cast and fourteen as dancers on stage practicing the scene.
As the play took place on stage, both Manoj and Shika watched from the seats.
"Now didn't I tell you they don't have to put any effort to look like a couple" Shika said to Manoj who was sitting next to her in the second row watching the rehearsals.
"I guess you are right, but they don't really have feelings for each other." Manoj commented, without taking his eyes off the stage.
"How do you know? Manohar told you?" she asked.
"Yes. He said it because I asked." Manoj turned to look at frowning Shika. She shook her head.
"I know even Anu would say that but there is something that's happening between them without their control. For instant, they are together in only two plays and in both plays Mrs. Gracie had paired them together, why? Because there is something with them two. And see how comfortable they are." Shika spoke in confident that Anuradha and Manohar make a good pair.
"I believe in Mrs. Gracie as she always says her twenty years' experience never made any mistake in choosing the right couple as the lead in any romantic script she supervise." She continued.
"I won't deny that they look good together. Let's hope Mrs. Gracie's selection work the magic on the play and get us the Champion's trophy "
Tiffany Yardley, the president of the college whom they hardly see in the college compound is now in the very same hall as the drama act rehearsal going on. Mrs. Gracie who were on stage with the actors was startled on hearing Tiffany called her name.
"The president of the club, Ms. ... Anuradha Ray?" she called as soon as Mrs. Gracie reach Tiffany.
"Ms. Ray, you have disappointed me"
