CHAPTER 33
Mark and his men who have been following Manohar's car for their safety rushed to the scene as soon as the truck hit their car and fled from the area. They first thing they did was to help Manohar to bring Anuradha out. The passengers side was terribly damaged by the truck and it only increased the difficult to get her out of it.
Though Mark and his men have been very caution on the surroundings they were, this came unexpected to them. Mark had immediately instructed few of his men to follow the truck and wanted them to get the driver by any means.
A few hours in the hospital getting treated for their wounds and injuries, Anuradha finally regained her conscious. The sudden impact of the accident and bleeding was the reason for her passing out. Fortunately, Anuradha survived without much laceration and bruises on the left side of her body.
"I'm fine aunty. Please stop crying" frail Anuradha pleaded to Roopa who have been crying ever since Anuradha regained conscious.
"If I had not sent you both out, this accident wouldn't have happened" Roopa cried more.
"Maa, it's okay. They are safe now, aren't they? Stop blaming yourself, maa." Uday hugged his sobbing mother.
Roopa's fondness towards Anuradha wasn't just because the latter took care of the former while she was injured but Anuradha as herself was what she liked. Strong emotionally, mentally and physically. Roopa just couldn't bare to see Anuradha with bandages and laying in the hospital bed, weak.
Ever since Roopa knew about Anuradha's mother through Cameron the other day when she was in London, all Roopa wanted was to give as much love as she could to Anuradha. Upon Cameron's request, Roopa did not tell anyone about Anuradha and Kavitha's relationship and she respected Anuradha's decision not to talk about her unhealthy relationship with her mother
"I'm going to take care of you for now on and you will have to listen to me until you are fit to travel back" Roopa ordered, Anuradha nodded weakly.
"What about me?" Manohar walked in to the room with bandages wrapped around his head as well. "How are you?" he asked Anuradha.
"Good and you?"
"All good" he sighed and turned to his mother who wept softly.

"The accident was surely planned by my uncle" said Manohar soon after Uday and Roopa left home.
"How can you be so sure?" Anuradha asked.
"This is not the first time. Bhai and I have met in a couple of accidents but none was as worst as this." Manohar walked back and forth in the room.
"Will anything change if you keep walking back and forth?" she asked as he stopped and looked at her. "No, right. So relax, Mark has gone to check on the truck driver, isn't he? Those who are the reason for all these will be caught."
"What if they don't find them? My uncle will continue to harm my family including you. What if he comes after you as well?" Manohar continue to pace back and forth.
"Manohar. Manohar! How does he know I was with you maybe the accident was meant for you and I was in the car by chance. That doesn't mean he is going to come after me just because I was there with you" chided Anuradha as she stare at him.
"What if he knows?" Manohar stood at the end of the bed and gripped the railing.
"Let him know. What will he do? Kill me?"
"Radha!" Manohar bellowed, both exchanged glares. One stared with anger and fear the other with calmness.
"Manohar... come here" she patted the spot beside her on the bed. He obliged.
"Listen, nothing is going to happen. You have to be strong, you being weak will only make your uncle to stronger and he will keep finding new ways to harm you. You might not know who among you is his people, don't show them that you can be easily break" she softly placed her hand on his.
"I know Radha but I can't bare to see anyone get harmed anymore because of my uncle's selfishness" Manohar took her hand in his and caressed the back of her hand with his thumb. "I just don't want anything to happen to you, to any of my family" he said, her hand still in his.
They remained that way for a long time until Anuradha fell asleep.

Mark who had gone to check on the driver came back the next morning, "Anuradha, how you doing?"
"Good"
"Positive news. We caught the driver and have handed him to the police. We will soon know who was behind this accident and also the other accidents you have encountered" Mark told Manohar.
"Was the driver alone?"
"Yes, but with information we got from him, the driver was instructed by his boss under someone's request but he refuses to tell the name of the person and doesn't know much about the reason behind this" Mark explained.
Manohar was sure that his uncle must have seek help from someone else to do this.
With the help of the men Mark sent, Manohar and Uday was able to get hold on the information about who was behind this accident. The police is now on search for his uncle and associates who were involved.
Though this four months had gone away in a jiff, the pain of own blood doing such extend was terrible. Each time Manohar felt disturbed thinking about what his uncle and cousins had done he end up spending hours on call with Anuradha.
They have been each other's moral support though they couldn't be physically there to help. Both were balancing each other perfectly that they had not need to meet to show or tell how much they mean to each other.
The betrayal, the thirst for money from his uncle was giving him sleepless nights that for once he thanked god for Digvijay for not having to go through all this hurtful events. Raj meant the world to Digvijay after his wife, Roopa and his sons. Digvijay had also given Raj a part of the company to him and his sons yet that wasn't enough for him.
Blood is thicker than water, they said.
A two weeks of continuous search came to an end where the police found his uncle and sons' at their hide out in an old ruined chapel at Methwold Hythe.
Manohar was relieved that this life threatening events had finally come to end.
And as a cherry on the cake, Digvijay's condition seems somewhat improving after undergoing a special therapy. Digvijay had been enrolled to a Familiar Auditory Sensory Training as soon as he got into minimal conscious state that will enable him to recover soon with the help familiar voices.
Situation in Chauhan's house was getting calmer and peaceful and Roopa had suddenly spoke about Anuradha that reminded Manohar to talk about Anuradha to his mother.
"Karthik, I wanted to ask this from the day we met Anuradha. Why do you both call each other a part from your names that no one calls you? Manohar and Radha" Roopa asked.
"I don't know, ever since I knew her name, Radha had stuck in my head and I have been calling her that since then" he said with a smile quite evident on his face.
She suggested to Manohar that they should go and meet Anuradha again, since it's been months they have not met after the accident. Seeing his mother's fondness over Anuradha, Manohar decided to open up his feeling about Anuradha to her.
"I think I love her, ma" he said as he lay his head on Roopa's lap.
"You think or are you sure about it?" She stroked his hair.
"I am, ma. I am"
"Have you told her about this?" Manohar shook his head. "Well, I think you should tell her" Roopa who couldn't content her happiness pushed Manohar away from her and ran to get her phone.
"Maa!" Manohar whined.
"I'm going to call Anuradha and tell her you are coming to meet her soon"
"Maa.... no... I'll give her a surprise visit" Manohar said snatching the phone from Roopa.
