third person.

AS MELISSA AND LIAM continue to try helping Hayden, Theo and Scott talk in the waiting room with Luna asleep in the chair.

"You know, we're going to need help with him," Theo states into the quiet room, glancing over at Scott. He's leaned back into his seat, his head against the wall with Luna's legs in his lap. His hands rubbed her legs soothingly, knowing his girlfriend was dead tired and needed her sleep.

Scott, who was staring absentmindedly at the wall across from him, says, "He'll be all right." He nods as if to convince himself.

"He's sixteen and in love," Theo goes on. "First love. You remember what that's like?" Theo's eyes shift to the girl in the chair adjacent him. Her blue hair fanned across her face, some in her mouth due to her soft snoring. She was slouched with her arms hanging off the sides of the seat. To him, the sight of her like that made his heart swell and reminded him of what she does to him.

"Yeah, trust me, I remember." Scott nods his head, thinking of the girl who could shoot a bow and arrow and was devoted to protecting those who couldn't protect themselves.

"All those emotions mixed with the Supermoon," Theo continues as if Scott hadn't even spoken. "Tonight isn't going to be good." He stares up at the ceiling.

"I know."

"We need help." Theo turns to Scott. "And I don't mean restraints or chains. I mean Malia, Stiles, Lydia." He lifts his head. "You need your pack, Scott."

This was just part of his plan. He wanted Scott to think about his pack. How they weren't much of a pack anymore. Stiles and him weren't on good terms. Malia was busy doing God knows what that she didn't want anyone knowing about. Lydia was willing to help, but she was waiting for everyone else to get their shit together.

"I'm not so sure I have one anymore," Scott says, defeated.

"Let me talk to them," Theo suggests. "Let me see what I can do, okay?"

Scott gives Theo a nod. With that, Theo shakes Luna awake so they could leave. They'd been sitting in the waiting room for almost an hour, giving Luna way more time to sleep than she'd wanted. Her muscles ached from sleeping in an uncomfortable position for so long, and she had to pick hair out of her mouth.  Dried drool lined the corner of her mouth, but she didn't notice.

Theo lead Luna to the door with his hand on the lower part of her back. She squinted as she stepped into the light. With her hand on the doorknob, Scott called out to Theo. The two of them turned back to the boy, Theo's eyes raised in question.

"Thank you."

Luna was confused as to why he was thanking her boyfriend, but Theo was pushing her forward before she could ask. She pushed the door open and stumbled out into the bright outside. Wrapping his arm around Luna's shoulders, Theo leads her to the passenger side of the truck. He opens the door and helps her into the truck, noticing how sleepy she still was. He tried putting her seatbelt on for her, but she slapped his hands away.

"I'm still mad at you," she mumbles, clicking the seatbelt in for herself instead.

"For what?" Theo asks, bewildered. She pauses to think about it.

"I don't know yet, but I am."

Theo laughs, "Fine." He steals a kiss as she cleans the dried drool from her chin.

"Hey!" She protests. Although she wanted to be mad, she couldn't stop the tiny smile from poking through her hard exterior.

Theo shuts the door and rounded the vehicle. Once he was in and had his seatbelt on, Luna reached over and held his hand. She wouldn't see him tonight since she'll be locked up in her basement to shield herself from the Supermoon.

At the Sheriff's station, Lydia was sitting on the floor outside of the cells. Jordan Parrish sat on the other side of the cell on the floor. They both leaned against the iron bars, they're hands close enough to touch. Parrish was trying to convince the red head to go home. He was planning on staying in the cell all night and all day if he had to to keep himself from taking the bodies of dead Chimeras. Although, Sheriff Stilinski has kept it a secret where the bodies of Corey and another Chimera were, and they were pretty sure Parrish wasn't a psychic.

"But you're drawn to death," Lydia says, tired from sitting in there all day. "Just like me." Their eyes meet.

"Does that make me a kind of Banshee?"

Lydia sways her head, weighing what they know about him, "You find bodies."

"I find Chimeras."

She nods, "Dead Chimeras." Parrish leans his head against the bars.

"So, we're both harbingers of death. I should probably add that to my résumé."

"Hm. It's on my college applications," she jokes to lighten the mood. She places her hand on top of his, and they both close their eyes to sleep.

Back at the Animal Clinic, Melissa stands over Hayden and rubs her arm comfortingly. Scott is asleep in the same chair in the waiting room. The sun is coming in from the other side of the room now that the day is coming to an end. It shines over Scott until a body steps in front of him to block most of it. It's Liam. His chest is rising and falling from the amount of anger rushing through him. The usual blue in his irises are replaced with his glowing, yellow, werewolf eyes.

Stiles opens Malia's passenger car door, watching as the tow truck drives off with his jeep attached to the back. His expression is solemn as he looks from the jeep to Malia before getting in the car. Malia can't stand the silence as they drive down the street.

"Can they fix it?"

Stiles' bitterness is there, but just barely as he says, "There's not enough duct tape in the world to fix that thing."

"Maybe you should try something other than duct tape," she suggests, keeping her eyes on the road ahead of her.

He begins listing all of the things wrong with the vehicle, "It's got a bad alternator, you know, needs all new belts, transmission's going, the brake pads are basically metal on metal." He demonstrates the motion with his hands to make a point.

She glances at the rearview mirror and asks, "How come you let it get so bad?"

Her question could have been taken two different ways. She could be talking about the jeep or she could be talking about them. Her and Stiles. Stiles and Scott. Everyone.

But Stiles doesn't notice this.

"There's been a few distractions, if you haven't noticed."

"I notice. More than you think I do."

Stiles looks at her and instantly feels bad, "I didn't mean it like that-"

"Am I taking you home?" She interrupts his excuse.

"No, Sheriff station. I gotta talk to my dad." Stiles was terrified to tell his dad about that dreadful night, but knew it was time to since Scott knew.

They pull up to the station twenty minutes later. Malia switches the car to park, and they sit in silence for a few minutes.

"You want me to go in with you?" Malia finally asks, turning to him.

Stiles shakes his head, "No, it's okay. It's probably going to take a while." He sighs and drums his fingers on his leg nervously.

It takes Malia a few seconds to build up the courage to ask and when he crack the door open, she does, "Are you going to tell him about Donovan?"

He stares at her in disbelief, shuts the door, and leans back in the seat.

"You knew?"

"I guessed. I saw the bite on your shoulder while you sleeping." Stiles glances at his shoulder. He leans back farther into the seat and rubs at it. "And the way you and Luna were talking a lot more after that night I'd left you two in the library told me something was up. I knew nothing sexually could've happened between the two of you, so I figured something else had happened. Plus, I heard her telling you to tell Scott. It didn't matter to me. That's why I never said anything."

"It matters to me," he states quietly. He stared at her with a look of betrayal. He couldn't believe she knew and didn't tell him. Of course, he hadn't been dealing with this by himself, but what if he had? Would she still have not brought it up?

Stiles slowly got out of the car and shut the door. Hesitating a moment before heading into the station. Malia watched, not understanding what he was angry about.

"Does it help knowing?" Parrish asks Lydia. He was now sitting on the bench provided for criminals. Lydia was in the same place as before. "Knowing what you are?"

She ponders the question for a moment, "It doesn't scare me as much that I know." Her eyes flicker over Parrish's body. "Do I scare you?"

"Once," he confesses.

"Really?"

Parrish stands from his seat and walks over to lean against the bars. Lydia stands to be at eye level with him.

"It was the night I found that werewolf, the one with the talons." Lydia nods, telling him she knew who he was talking about. "I thought I was going to die that night."

"How come?" Lydia's tone of voice was similar to a mother trying to coerce a child in tattling.

He's reluctant, but he tells her, "Because I saw you. I saw the Banshee." He shakes his head. "But I guess it was just a dream or a hallucination."

"What was I doing?" She's slightly afraid of the answer.

"Trying to keep me alive."

Lydia's tone changes to playful, "Well, sorry, but the Banshee was mostly trying to stay out of the rain." Parrish smiles at her. "That was the night of the storm, remember?" He nods. "The Wild Hunt."

"The what?"

"Oh, it's something Kira was telling me. A myth about thunderstorms. Ghost Riders in the sky and black dogs."

Then, it's like something clicks inside of her head. Her sentence drops off, and her original train of thought crashes into another. Black dogs. She knew what they were called, but the name wasn't coming to her. She had to go check it out. She knew whatever it was had to be connected to Parrish and what he was.

"What is it?" Parrish questions when he notices the change in the girl.

"I need to check on something. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere." She goes to turn away, but realizes what she said and catches Parrish's look. "You know what I mean."

At the clinic, Hayden's condition is the same as it was the night before.

"It's not working, is it?" Liam asks Melissa as she steps around into Hayden's eyesight again.

"She should be showing signs of improvement," Melissa answers. Hayden lifts her hand for Melissa to take. Melissa runs her hand through Hayden's hair comfortingly. "Hayden?"

She can't get her voice higher than a whisper, "Call Val. My sister, Valerie." Scott comes into the room, pulling his coat on.

"She's a deputy," Liam clarifies.

"I think I might know where she is. Theo just texted me about the high school. He said there's cops everywhere. Might be another Chimera," Scott explains.

"My sister. I don't want to die without my sister," Hayden chokes out.

"I'll get her," Scott confirms.

"Wait, what are you going to tell her?" Liam turns as Scott heads for the door.

"If I have to, I'll tell her everything."

A little later, after Scott had gone, Melissa took a syringe full of Hayden's blood. She didn't like the looks of it and dropped it in a small bowl before examining Hayden's arm. There were black dots lining all over her skin like one of a jaguar.

"It's on her neck too," Liam points out, moving her hair away from her neck. "She's getting worse, isn't she?"

"Yeah. Which is why we're taking her to the hospital." Melissa left Hayden's side to pull on her coat.

"How's that going to help?" Liam questions, glaring at the woman.

"We're in an animal clinic and I need equipment designed for humans. I said that we're going to take her to the hospital. I didn't say we're going through the front door."

〰〰〰

"Theo, I need to get home. It's not safe for me to stay here and wait for you," Luna tells Theo. They'd been at the school for awhile now after changing clothes to pick up Luna's truck, but Theo wanted her to wait for him. Something about wanting to spend the night helping her stay human from inside her basement.

"I swear, Luna, it'll only take me a few minutes. I have to do something in the library and then we can go, okay?" He places his hands on her arms, rubbing them gently and staring into her eyes. Reluctantly, she nodded her head before leaning against her truck with her arms crossed over her chest. She couldn't say no to him when he looked at her with those beautiful green eyes.

Theo went into the school building, but he was lying when he said he'd only be a few minutes. He wasn't planning on coming back. The sun was setting fast, and he wanted her to still be here when the moon was out. That's why he parked his truck in the parking lot her truck wasn't in. After he was finished in the library, he was going to leave without her knowing. Because what's more chaotic than having a rogue, fully shifted werewolf running around Beacon Hills?

Lydia was the only student in the library. Since it wasn't a school day, it wasn't unusual. She was looking through a book on mythology, furiously searching for a certain page she needed.

"'Woden's Hunt, also known as the Wild Ride or Wild Hunt. A myth of devilish rider in the sky accompanied by black dogs, spectral beasts whose eyes glowed with fire. A Bearer of Death and Guardian of the Supernatural, the black dog is also known by its more common name, the Hellhound'," Lydia read the text aloud. Reading it out loud made the words seem more true. Jordan Parrish was a Hellhound, made for protecting the supernatural and surrounded by death.

Lydia slams the book shut and stares off into space. She hears groans from men, growling from beasts, and someone telling another, "I can't let you kill me."

"You know what's coming," Theo interrupts her premonition. Lydia gasps. "Don't you?"

"Someone's going to die here," she states.

"You're right. But I can't let you tell anyone." His eyebrows furrow and lift, as if to look concerned.

"Why?" Her eyes flicker between his, not understanding why he wouldn't let her warn the others.

"Because I want you, Lydia. I want all of you." Lydia's face just grows more confused as he explains.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't worry." He smiles condescendingly. "I'll give you some time to think about it." He swings his hand up to backhand her, and she falls to the floor unconscious.

In the coyote's den, Malia looks through her old belongings. She holds up a small baby doll and dusts the dirt from its eyes. Her mind drifts to the night her adoptive mother and sister died. She remembers the bright lights of another car, her sister lifting the doll in the air, and the gunshots that forced her mother to swerve off the road. Malia didn't feel like it was her fault anymore, but she knew whose it was.

She heard someone entering the cave behind her. Slowly, she stood up and turned towards the sound. A coyote with glowing, yellow eyes came waltzing in to the shadows before shifting in a full sized human. When they straightened, she found that it was Theo.

"How did you do that?"

"Do you want to lean? I could show you."

"You're showing me plenty right now," Malia says, trying to focus her attention to his face.

"I've got nothing to hide." Theo steps closer to her, coming into the light.

"And I do?"

"Did you tell Scott you're planning to kill your mother?" Malia tenses at the mention of her plan. "Don't worry, I'm not judging. I want to help you."

"Why?"

"Because I know Scott won't. I'm trying to help all of you." He steps closer. "If Scott can't do it, then someone else needs to take the lead. You know they're moving Hayden to the hospital, right?" Malia shakes her head. "But Hayden's still a Chimera, and there's two more we haven't found yet, and they're still dangerous. They need help. They need you."

Theo was trying to come off as a concerned person and it was working. Malia could feel herself giving in to help with the Chimera problem again. And Theo knew she would. She trusted him even if she didn't know it.

Stiles was waiting in his father's office when sirens started blaring and lights started flashing in the central offices. He opens the door to check out what was going on. Sheriff deputies were rushing about trying to figure out what had caused the alarms to go off.

Parrish steps up to the bars of his cell and grips two of them tightly. Only Parrish wasn't exactly himself right now. His supernatural side, the Hellhound, was out now, and it was ready to go after some bodies. His hands start to heat up the bars and made it easy for him to pull them apart.

He destroys the cell and makes a clear path to the main room. Smoke arose from his body, and his cheek was charred. A couple of the deputies had known he locked himself in the jail cell and was surprised to find him walking around freely.

"What the hell?" A deputy says before pulling his gun out and pointing it at Parrish. The other deputies join in.

"Wait, wait, wait, don't shoot, don't shoot!" Stiles shouts, running out of the office to urge the deputies to put their guns down. "Get back! Stay out of his way."

Everyone watches as Parrish passes them without looking at any of them. Like what had just happened didn't phase him. He just walks out the door, untouched. Stiles follows him to find out where he's going.

Luna waits in the parking lot for a long time. Longer than she should have, thinking Theo must have gotten held up in whatever he was doing in there. She'd seen Scott go inside not too long ago and figured that was why it was taking so long. But, as the sun dipped low in the sky, almost touching the horizon, she knew she couldn't wait any longer. She didn't even know if he was in there and if he wasn't, why would he not tell her?

She climbed into her truck, starting the engine, and quickly drove out of there. It was a twenty minute drive to her house and she just hoped the sun would stay above just long enough for her to get home. She'd never been out when there was a Supermoon, and she didn't want to find out what would happen if she was either.

Scott heard Luna's truck drive off from inside the library and wondered what she was still doing in town. Then, his attention turned back to finding Lydia since she'd texted him to meet her here. Now, she wasn't anywhere he could see.

"Hey, Lydia?" He calls, but all he hears is a slight echo. He pulls his phone out, which is full of texts from Liam to call him, and calls Lydia. He hears it vibrating on a book shelf and walks over to pick it up. That's when he notices the line of mountain ash. He sets the phone back down and backs away, catching someone laying the ash down. "That's not possible."

"You're right," Theo agrees. "A werewolf shouldn't even be able to touch mountain ash."

"You're a Chimera," Scott realizes through gritted teeth.

"I'm the first Chimera. It's the coyote part you don't notice. It's why Malia trusted me first, even though she probably didn't know it. Luna trusted me period because she killed my sister. That just made it easier for the rest of you to trust me because she's just a likeable person." Scott walks toward Theo and Theo steps back. "You found the perfect word though, Scott. Well, with the help of Luna. Because a Chimera isn't just a monster with different parts." His voice becomes harsher as he explains. "It can also mean something impossible to achieve. An unrealizable dream."

"And they realized you?" Scott asks, trying to make sense of what's going on. His anger rising.

"They came close with me. But we can't all be perfect. We can't all be true Alphas."

Scott charges at Theo, but Theo easily steps over the mountain ash. Without realizing this, Scott runs right into the wall and is thrown back into chairs under the table. He groans from the pain of the wall, not really from hitting the chairs although it didn't help.

Theo taunts, "Damn. I felt that." He smirks and walks away to the benches outside of the library. Scott gets back on his feet. "No calls, Scott. No Stiles, no Malia, no Lydia. You're just going to have to wait here alone for what happens next."

"What do you mean? What's next?"

"The Supermoon."

Luna is almost home, but the sun is nearly set. She only has a hundred feet until she can park in her own driveway and less than that to get to her basement. But she knows she won't make it in time. She could feel the affects of the moon already and her canines were already out along with glowing eyes. Pulling into her driveway, she catches her reflection in the door mirrors. Fur was sprouting from her face, and she could feel her bones shifting and cracking under her skin.

She only had enough time to get out of her truck before she was crouched on the ground. Screaming, the shift was a hundred times more painful than usual. She blamed it on the Supermoon. Since it caused them to be stronger and more aggressive, it must cause it to be more painful. Once she is fully shifted, she howls into the night air, warning the pack that she hadn't made it.

And they heard her, but no one could do anything about it.
