Chapter 38

Keenan Point of View

Great!

Just Great!

All the day I had struggled to keep up with my groom look, not forget an hour of face masks I had to suffer; all were currently getting washed down with the heavy rain pouring.

Is it some kind of signal from the heavens that we should not be together?

But then again, don't heavens have enough work to do than to create a tornado just to stop our wedding?

It's not like our pairing will destroy the whole universe!

I looked at the guests who are trying to stand still without falling from all the winds and rain that is crashing the place right now. People are struggling to see clearly what is happening and where to go but the rain is heavy enough to cloud the senses.

There were screams and groans heard from every side of the garden and the chairs that were meant for sitting flew started flying away with the strong winds like kites.

"Wait, where are you going? We need to finish off this first." I heard Bell yell loudly, enough to gain the attention of most of the people spread in the garden.

Curiously, I turned around to see her covering her eyes with her hand from rain while the other hand held the officiator tightly.

Wait a second! Is she talking about getting married in this kind of weather?

How can she even think straight with the hurricane washing us out?

"Ms Bell, I would love to continue with the event if not for the life challenging climatic conditions. I beg your pardon for refusing you to participate any further." The officiator shouted loudly due the noise coming from the sudden hurricane.

I noticed Old man sitting in one of the chairs while taking support from his cane to stop himself from flying away. While mom was holding a slim pillar that was used as decoration to support herself, Dion and Daiane are too much sweet to each other because they are literally hugging each other and feeling up each other in this disastrous situation.

I looked around and let out a sigh of relief when my best man, Aegeus, was having a model photoshoot in rain. With the stills he was giving and with the way he is shaking of water from his head, it looks like he is quite enjoying the cyclone.

At least he is safe, that is what matters.

"No. I wholeheartedly appept this relationship or not is different. But, when situations like this show-up, I take them as a challenge. Now, you have to get us married no matter we fly away and find ourselves in the depth of Pacific Ocean." Bell said determinedly and walked heavily towards me while still holding the officiator's hand.

I sighed at her madness and offered a hand to her to take it and helped her reach me. Bell's family are already crouching down, holding the tablecloths over their heads as protection.

"Mrs. Coopers, please get here along with Uncle Coopers. The doors leading us inside the hall are jammed. We need to cover ourselves with these tablecloths for now." Olivia bellowed. They were currently sitting on the grass floor and covered themselves completely from rain with the tablecloths and the cloths hanged around as decoration.

They made something close to a tent.

"Good evening, everyone!" Dammit!

I turned back and saw Bell taking the mike and struggling to hold it tight while speaking. Guests are not at interested in anything happening around here as the only thing they are doing is trying to break the jammed door and get inside for a shelter.

"We are very surprised by the sudden weather changes but since it's a big day for me and my fiancée, we request you to just hold on tight and witness our wedding." She announced and gave the mike to the officiator who is currently held hostage in her strong hand.

The officiator is big man so I'm quite surprised to see him struggling to get his hand out of hers.

I guess, all those muscles and abs are for window shopping only!

"Bell, we can't get married tonight. It's a disaster here and we don't even know where those damn rings are." I gritted out, wiping my face to clean the water flow. "Let's do this some other day." I said, dragging her down the dais to the tent that is holding the wind and rain with surprising capability.

"No, let's get this done now itself. I don't want to go through these wedding jitters and emotional trail with my father again. I have the rings with me. I took them from Patherine when the rain started and she was swaying here and there." She said in one breath quickly and pulled me back to the center of the stage and gave the mike to the almost crying officiator.

"Dear, I think God is against this wedding." The officiator tried to reason out but the Bell I know takes challenges seriously whether it is from her papa or from me or from the God directly.

"Franply speaping, I thinp the God is showering his blessings in abundance. Let's get it done before he withdraws them."

Wow. Her logic!

From where do those ideas and logics come from?

The officiator sighed in utter exhaustion and held the waterproof mike in his hands and stated stuttering the vows.

"I welcome you all to the grand and great wedding ceremony of Keenan Coopers and –" He sneezed loudly for four to five times and continued with the ceremony when he looked at the unfazed determined look on Bell's face. I could've laughed out loud if not for the constant torture the rain is causing right now.

"- And Rainbow Bell, who are here to tie a knot into a beautiful marriage." He finally completed the introduction after a lot of sneezing and stuttering.

"Let it be, Rainy." We heard her papa yell at her from the far corner of the garden where they are safely tugged inside a wet clumsy tent.

Looking at them, the other guests also stopped trying to break the jammed door and wrapped themselves with the cloths around.

Beggar guy being the crazy one, is reenacting the titanic pose with a familiar looking girl but his face which held the cocky happiness earlier is missing. It seems as though he is forced into the pose with a gun at his blank point.

Who is she?

I do remember her seeing somewhere but where did I see her?

My attention is immediately back to ceremony when Bell nudged me in the stomach. "Answer him." Bell urged and asked me to do it quickly.

That is when I realized that the officiator has already asked the main question and it is my turn to answer him.

"Yes, I do." I answered him nonetheless even though I did not hear the question. Before the officiator could ask Bell the same question, Bell quickly answered to save our time.

"Yes, I Rainbow Bell, appept him as my husband in any hurricane and famine. Now it is time to exchange the rings." She announced quickly and inched close to wrapping her hands around me.

What the hell is she doing?

Before I can come up with bizarre possibilities, she pulled out the ring boxed from my coat pocket.

The heck? Why are the rings there?

When did I keep them in my pocket?

"Why are the rings in my pocket?" I asked her astonished.

"Oh I kept them there since I have no pockets. You were busy writing a thesis about the situation in your mind so you must have not realized. Anyway, let's just exchange rings and kiss. The poor officiator is getting pold." My jaw dropped and eyes widened at absurdity at the circumstances.

She is such a - !

What is that word again?

Shaking my head, I quickly pulled the ring and placed it on her finger and she did the same too. Quickly pecking each other's lips, we sealed the wedding.

"Now, both of you are wife and husband. Let's go to the shelter now please." The Officiator ran to one of those tents. I and Bell ran to the one when our families are and snuck our heads inside to protect ourselves.

"Congratulations to both of you though we couldn't attend the wedding." Aunt Lana clapped and hugged both of us.

"You both really went for it?" Old man asked amazed.

Bell smiled at him cheekily and nudged me again warning me to smile. Seriously? How can one smile when we almost getting Pneumonia with the pouring rain?

"We could've got married later. Why the hell did you insist on getting it done now? I love to be your husband but in this climate? Why?" I shouted at her and snuck more into the shelter to protect my bottom from getting wetter.

"I spope to Damon's friend granddaughter-in-law over phone this morning. Her name is Zinnia and Damon wanted me to take marital tips from her. That was when she told me that a wife should tape a hold of different situations and if husbands are like her husband then they would follow the right path their wives show." Who the hell is this Zinnia?

What sort of tip is that? This is so illogical!

"I really liped her a lot and she is so good at ponversations. If not for my challenging spirit and her tips, this wedding wouldn't have been possible." Bell said smiling softly at Damon as if he did a great deal of help to her.

"Well, congratulation on our stormy wedding. Please keep your distance with people like Zinnia. She sounds insane." I announced and Bell glared at me for insulting her tips friend.

What plans I made for this day and what did I get?

Why am I in this position again?

I don't regret marrying Bell but like this? Hell!

I wonder what cyclone the life after the stormy wedding brings to us.
