[40] The Sun, Moon And Star

A day had passed since Talia returned to the base at Nanda Parbat. Mona had been sad to see her leave but she knew that Talia couldn't abandon her people.

Since she had been a bit sad, Dora called Felicity and Terry over to spend the day at their place because it would obviously cheer Mona up. And just like she had expected, Mona's mood improved a lot to see her friends.

The three of them were like each other's support system and were always there for one another. Even though they were just kids, they had formed a beautiful bond of friendship that linked them strongly.

The three of them were like the sun, the moon and the star. Like the sun, Felicity was radiant and joyful, lighting up everyone with her happy aura. Mona was like the moon in the sense that she lit up in Fel's company.

And Terry was the star; a constant in both their lives. Just like a star he was there in the sky for both of them, disappearing temporarily when the sun's light got too bright but never left.

"So we heard you were feeling a bit down," Fel had sat down beside her, taking her in a hug, "and we couldn't stay at home for even a second longer."

"I'm fine. But thanks a lot for coming," Mona smiled, squeezing her friend tightly, "I am glad to have you guys over."

Terry stood by with a slight smile on his face, "you have no idea how impatient Fel was to get your place soon after she got the call. My Mom got worried something bad had happened. I am relieved you all are okay, the way Fel was freaking out was that bad."

"Oh Fel, you shouldn't have done that," Mona shook her head, a smile tugging upon her features, "I'm fine really. I am just a bit sad."

"Why?" Both of them asked in unison.

"I didn't tell you guys earlier but I am really fond of Damian's mother. Both me and Dami call her Ummi. She had come for a visit a week ago and left yesterday so I was sad to see her leave so soon," she explained, "there's nothing to worry about."

"Oh..."

"See, Mona's okay," Terry addressed Felicity, "don't go about giving me a heart attack again."

"Hey, stop it!" Fel took the pillow from the bed, throwing it at him, "I wasn't freaking out even half as much as you're making it seem. You're overexaggerating."

He raised an eyebrow skeptically, "am I?"

Fel was never going to let her own point go as she turned to Mona and spoke, "yup. Mona, don't believe him."

The smile on Mona's face was proof that she was slowly forgetting that she had been sad, getting caught up in the antics her friends always cooked up. "Come on, I find that sweet to know how much you care for me."

"You're my best friend, quite like a sister, and I love you very very much," Fel gave her a tight hug again that Mona gratefully accepted, "of course, I care for you. I always will."

"Aw, thank you."

Terry chuckled, "to be honest, I feel very left out now. You two are making me feel like an audience to a heartfelt play."

"Join in then, Teddy Ted," Fel remarked causing Mona to laugh at the nickname he hated to be addressed with. True enough, the smile from his face had faded at that remark and he shook his head.

"No," a small frown creased his features as he took a step back, "not joining if you call me that. You know I hate that name."

"Exactly," her smile widened, brown eyes twinkling in mirth, "that's why I am always going to call you Teddy."

"No, I don't need hugs anymore from people who call me Teddy."

Mona stood up, holding him by the wrist and reeling him into the group hug as well, "well, Teddy or not, you don't have a choice."

Dora had come to call them down for lunch but stopped at the doorway seeing the cute sight. A smile spread on her face as well to see the three who had been hugging just a few minutes earlier were throwing pillows at each other.

The pillow fight had been started by Terry who had broken off the hug and thrown a pillow at Fel for repeatedly calling her Teddy. And the rest was history as the three indulged in the pillow fight.

Seeing that they were having a good time and Mona too was joyfully laughing with her friends, Dora decided not to disturb just yet and turned to walk away.

"Uh oh, Mumma saw us," Mona whispered, catching the pillow Fel had thrown at her, "quick, we've got to set everything as it was before."

"I don't think she minds us having a little fun," Fel added, "or else she would have stopped us."

"Yeah, I agree. Mrs. Drake is a very cool Mom, y'know."

Mona laughed, "and since when did you start calling her Mrs. Drake? Wasn't it Dora for you last I checked?"

"Well, Fel calls your Dad Mister Drake not Uncle Tim so I thought maybe that's how you normally call a friend's parents... Never mind."

Felicity nodded, "well yeah but because that's different. I have known her father way before I met her even and he's a family friend, not an Uncle so..."

"Wow, that seems like a far-fetched thing to say," Terry remarked, "how's it possible for you to meet him even before you met Mona? Aren't you like a few months younger than Mona?"

Mona decided it would be best to change the topic right then, "if Mumma came up that means she was going to call us for lunch. So I think we should go down now. We can resume the pillow fight later."

"Or how about just not doing it altogether?"

"Terry, don't be a spoilsport," Fel stated, "you were the one who started the fight, now you can't back off. Pillow fight will resume after lunch and I will win."

"Not letting you win," Mona added.

"I'm definitely going to lose," Terry mumbled, "you two are brutal when it comes to pillow fights."

"Only time will decide," Fel announced, "now come on, we shouldn't keep Mona's Mumma waiting for us at lunch for so long."
