v- sirius black in the castle
THE DETENTION that Jessica got from Professor Snape was certainly not the last detention she got from him. It didn't stop at that.
Jessica Black was currently walking to the Potions class to serve the eighteenth detention with Professor Snape from her arrival at Hogwarts this year.
"But it's Halloween." Jessica had groaned to Snape, when he gave her detention.
"I don't care, if I don't see you in my classroom tomorrow evening, I'll take all the points from your house." he said coldly.
"I'l miss the Halloween feast! Come on, it only comes once a year!" she said.
"Tomorrow evening."
He was a real stubborn bastard, that was for sure. Jessica groaned, as she scrubbed the cauldrons in the wonderful company of Snape, as she imagined how much fun the rest of the kids must be having at the feast.
It took her four hours to finish up cleaning the damn cauldrons. She glared one last time at Snape, and stormed out out the classroom, and soon realised that the feast had ended.
She stalked to the Gryffindor common room, only to find the corridor deserted. She nearly gasped out loud when she realised that the fat lady was no longer in tye portrait. Instead, there were huge marks, which could easily be identified as a dog's paw, in Jessica's opinion.
"Where were you?"
Jessica was nearly frightened out of her wits. And it took her heart a solid minute to stop thumping so loudly in her chest form the sudden shock, as she saw Percy frowning behind her.
"We were all so worried, we've been looking for you."
"I was serving Detention with Professor Snape, it took a lot longer than I had expected it to." Jessica explained, "What happened to the fat lady, where's everyone?"
"Sirius Black broke into the castle," he said, "he attacked the fat lady when she didn't let him into the common room. So now, all the Gryffindors are in the Great Hall.
"Sirius Black was in the castle?!" She asked, her eyes widened.
"Yes Jessica." Percy replied "Now, come with me downstairs. Everyone's waiting for you."
Jessica followed Percy back down the stairs and entered the Great Hall. Aiden k Fred, George, and Natalie lavished themselves upon her, since the moment she entered.
"Oh Jess! We were so worried!" Aiden said,
"What happened? Did you get lost or something?" Natalie asked.
"No, Snape the git made me clean all the cauldrons. It took me four hours to clean them." Jessica said bitterly
"Ouch, that's rough." Fred said sympathetically.
"Which detention was this again?" George asked.
"The eighteenth one." Jessica grinned.
"Wow, I think you might just have broken our top record." Fred said, impressed.
"Gee, I'm so honoured." Jessica rolled her eyes.
"What ddi you do to Snape this time?" Natalie asked.
"I tried to trip him over, by sticking out my leg." Jessica replied causally.
"No way," Fred and George gasped and applauded her, "you're amazing, Jess."
"Thank you, thank you." Jessica pretended to bow as Natalie rolled her eyes and Aiden chuckled.
"You know, at the start, me and the other guys had our bets. We bet whether you'd end up dating Fred or George. And so far, we're not getting answers." Aiden said.
Jessica rolled her eyes, "I'm as close to dating one of these duffers, as I am to dating you, Aiden."
Aiden pretended to gag, "Ew, it would be as if I'm dating my freaking sister."
"Speaking of incest," Natalie said, "did you know, some people actually ship Fred and George together."
"Oh my god." Fred groaned, "Don't remind me of that."
George gagged, "Not only are we brothers, but twins too!"
"That's basically the point, George." Natalie said, "Did you ever see anyone shipping you with Ronald or something?"
"Bad mental image!" George screamed.
"It's getting so boring here." Jessica groaned, "I'm not even sleepy."
"Same." Fred said, "Hey! Say, George, what if we go back to our dorms and get a firework or two? Might lighten up the mood."
"And how are you going to get in your dorms?" Natalie asked, "Percy's watching everyone like a Hawk"
What none of them saw, while they were busy talking, was that the glass part of the window right behind Jessica had suddenly vanished. Gone. They didn't discover this, until Jessica cried out.
A tiny rock hit the back of Jessica's neck, "Ouch!" she exclaimed.
"What's wrong Jess?" Aiden asked.
"A rock hit me." Jessica answered, and turned around to face the window, only to have her face dropped.
"Jess . . . the glass of the window isn't there anymore . . . Natalie whispered, pointing at the window, as George bit his tounge.
"If it's Sirius Black." Aiden gulped
"Then, that would be the best thing in the whole wide world." Jessica firmly replied "I'd love to see my dear father, give him a piece of mind, a sample of the shit he's caused my life to be."
A glimpse of a black shadow caught Jessica's eye, as she squinting towards the window, which now had no glass.
"I need to get out of the castle." She stood up.
"Jess, wait." George stopped her, and he looked her deep in the eyes, before Fred joined him, and they said together, "We're coming with you."
"What, no! It's dangerous."
"Its just about as dangerous for us, as it is for you." Fred said.
"No, you don't understand. I don't care what happens to me, as long as I can give him some shit first."
"And we don't care what happens to us, as long as you're safe." George said stubbornly.
"I'll come too." Aiden said and Natalie nodded along.
"No!" Jessica exclaimed, "I'm not letting you go with me!"
"And we're not giving you options to chose from, Jessica." Natalie said, and with that, she had cast a disillusionment charm on all five of them.
"Now, I need you guys to stay back a little." Jessica said, as they were out of Hogwarts.
How had five fifth years managed to get out of Hogwarts under all the heavy security? Easy. Natalie was unbelievable at charms. Aiden had common sense — a thing that most of them lacked. Jessica was a master at Defence. And as for Fred and Geirge, they may or may not have helped the most.
They had introduced a device of brilliance to the group. It was called, the Marauders Map. It showed everyone in the class, and what they were currently doing, along with seven secret passage ways. They used one of them to get out of the castle, undetected.
"A little back?" Natalie laughed humorlessly, "We didn't come out with you all the way here, to just let you go looking for him alone. That's a death wish."
"Alright, but all I'm asking is to give me a little bit of privacy, when we find him."
"If we find him." Aiden corrected.
"Do you really think we can find him? Like, all the professors and Dumbledore himself couldn't fins him, why would be any different?" Natalie asked.
"We've got a great answer for that." Fred said.
"You have?"
"Uh, huh. We heard dad talking to mum this summer, a day after Sirius Black escaped. Dad said that Black had escaped to kill Harry and you."
"Why?" I asked, "I understand about Harry, but why does he want to kill me?"
"Your guess is as good as ours." George shrugged, "We didn't hear anything after that."
"So . . . you're assuming that because Dumbledore and the others are after him, he hides. And because he's after me, he would reveal himself to me."
"Exactly."
A man a little over the height of 5"9, who had cloud grey eyes, was grinning up at me. It killed me when I realised how much I resemble him.
"You." I managed through grinded teeth, "You freaking piece of shit! You scumbag! You complete bastard!"
"Now, now, Jess. Is that any way to talk to your father?"
"I'd rather get laid by a hippogriff, than admit you as a father!" I spat.
"Now, that's a good insult." he pointed out, "we didn't have those kind of insults in our time. It was mostly related to this annoying kid I was classmates with. Greasy haired, slimy git." he muttered the last part under his breath.
"How the hell are you talking all this so causally?!"
"Oh," he said, ignoring what I said and pointed towards Fred and George, "Are you Fabian or Gideon's kids? Prewetts?"
"N— no, we er, Fabian and Gideon are our uncles. We're Weasleys." Fred said, looking bewildered by the fact that he was talking to Sirius Black right now. And who can blame him?
"Oh, I see! And, I'm afraid I don't recognise you two," he said to Aiden and Natalie, "but I'm sure you're good kids, if my Jessica's friends with you."
"I'M NOT YOUR BLOODY DAUGHTER, YOU TWAT!" Jessica shouted, "YOU ARE A FREAKING MURDERER AND A TRAITOR! THAT'S ALL YOU ARE!"
Jessica saw his knuckles tighten, as he said, "Then why don't you turn me in? Go ahead, go back to the castle, and tell them to hand me to the dementors."
"Dementors won't serve you justice." I spat bitterly, "I need to take out a few thing on you — but before that, I'll get some stuff out of you."
Jessica pointed her wand between Sirius' eyes, and whipped around as Aiden let out a shout.
"Stop! No! Don't do anything to him!"
"Aiden have you gone crazy?" Jessica asked.
"Look, Jessica, this may not be a good time to tell you all things like these, but I'm a Legilemens."
"You're a what?" Natalie screeched.
"A Legilemens. I can, you know, read people's minds and all." Aiden said.
"I know what it means!"
"And what does that have to do with," Jessica pointed her wand at Sirius, "him?"
"I read his mind . . . he's not who you think he is. He's not a murderer." Aiden said
"You!" I shouted angrily at Sirius, "You bewitched him, didn't you?"
"I swear — I didn't —"
"Jess, he didn't bewitch me!" Aiden exclaimed.
"Fine, then tell me what the NNTELS stand for?" Jessica asked.
"Natalie Needs To Eat Less Society." Aiden answered without a hesitation.
"Hey!" Natalie protested.
"What do you mean he's not a murderer?" I asked Aiden, ignoring Natalie's protests.
"I think it would be better if he told you the story." Aiden said quietly, pointed towards Sirius, who nodded gravely.
