I used superimpose for this!

Template:

1.  Open your picture in superimpose then open the template as your foreground. Go to mask and erase the white have of the template then go to filter and turn the colors all the way down. DO NOT MERGE! Save and then rest your mask and filters.

2. Go to mask and erase the black side then go to filter and turn the colors all the way down add your textures and anything else you want now just make sure it's not on the black part merge when finished.

3. Open the part of the cover you saved before and make it to fit your screen go to mask and turn the smoothness all the way up and mask out the black part to your liking. Merge and save when finished.

A/N: hope this helps! Also guys if any of you want the cover I made in this tutorial I made it a premade in my book! Also I saw this in a few other cover tip books so not completely my idea XD
