---Killer's POV----

"And just how do you expect to win?"

I yelped, babbling a small protest as Dream suddenly gripped onto my wrist and dragged me right in front of X, his expression stony and unreadable. "D-Dream?"

Dream ignored me, smirking as he glared up at X. He glanced at me and winked quickly before reaching into his pocket and pulling out an old rusty key, making sure X saw it clearly as he gripped onto my wrist tighter. "Try, freeing some magic that's been building up for fifteen years."

My eyes were completely transfixed on the slightly rusty key, praying with all my might that that was the key to what I hoped it was.

Dream pulled me closer before pulling my wrist down and pushing the key into the old key hole in my magic restraints that I've been clawing at for the last fifteen years.

X hissed loudly, firing several blasts at us, but Dream quickly blocked them with his balls of fire, smirking widely.

The key went in perfectly, and I watched as Dream paused for a moment before tightening his grip and twisting the key, making a soft click ring out.

The restraint broke apart and fell to the floor with a clatter, revealing my sore and thinned wrist.

So many memories of me trying everything possible to get this off flashed through my head, making my mind spin.

There was this one time when I'd tried smashing it with a sledgehammer, but it only left the restraint with a few dents, and me with a few broken fingers.
I'd also once tried not eating for as long as I physically could, resulting in me being curled up on the streets, limp and lifeless as I weakly tugged at the restraint still locked securely around my wrist.
And then there was that time where I'd almost sawn off my own wrist in a desperate attempt to free myself of it. In the end I was too scared to do it, so I gave up. But not before I'd sawed some deep marks into my bones.
I'd also tried stuff like trying to pick the lock, trying to melt the band, trying to freeze it so much that it shattered.

But nothing had ever worked.

As soon as that magic restraint was off of me, my soul seemed to start burning, sending a mixture of energy waves, and pain through my already sore body.

"Killer! Attack him!" Dream yelled, scrambling back and away from me as X readied another attack.

I glanced over at X, everything seeming to freeze up as I clenched both my hands into fists. The feeling of magic flowing through me was so foreign, and was sending an odd buzzing feeling to my head.

"ATTACK HIM!" Dream yelled again before crying out as X fired a bone at him, successfully piercing through his side.

"Dream!" I whipped back around, growling loudly as I summoned a Gaster Blaster by my side. "You little shit!"

X grinned widely, firing about three blasts at once. "You can't beat me, boy!"

I hissed, firing without hesitation, my one blast somehow managing to completely obliterate his, leaving him open and defenceless.

X's eyes widened in surprise and he quickly covered his face up with his arms, knowing very well that he wouldn't have time to summon another attack.

My blast slammed into X, sending him flying back into the closest wall with a scream, the sound of bones and the wall cracking as he rammed into it.

I panted, my eyes wide with surprise as I looked down at my hands. I could do that?!

I guess having the magic slowly building up inside of me for so long has triggered it to level up significantly to the point where anything I do comes out ridiculously strong and powerful.

I beg it stays like this forever.

A low groan from the wall rang out and I looked over to see X jumping down from the indent the impact of him slamming into the concrete had caused. "Y-You little shit... H-How'd you do that?!"

I smirked, summoning two more blasters by my sides. "I'd like to call it, magic~"

X hissed loudly, glancing down at his now charred and smoking chest. "You had a lucky shot...I'll get you this time!"

I watched as he summoned several more blasters along with bone attacks which he all immediately pointed at me. "We'll see about that..."

He fired them all at once, five blasters and seven bone attacks.

I stumbled to the side, hissing in pain as I felt the blasts scorch my sides and the bones tear by clothes as they flew past before sinking into the ground.

"Hey old man!" I yelled, skidding to a stop as I charged my blasters. "You missed! Now lets see if I will!"

The two blasters behind me fired, the bolts of white energy firing forwards, heading straight for X.

He jumped to the side, but cried out in pain as one of the blasts hit the left half of his body. He fell to the ground, writhing in pain.

Movement behind me caused me to whip around, summoning a sharpened bone in my right hand.

"K-Killer it's me!"

I froze, immediately lowering the bone as I saw it was Dream. "O-Oh, sorry Dream..."

"It's okay." He muttered, wincing as he clutched his damaged side. "I've ordered the others to try and escape the building. Sci and Fell said they'd have a plan to hopefully take down X. But we need to be out of here before they do it, otherwise we could get killed along with him."

I narrowed my eyes, nodding as I watched the others start to leave the room, Nightmare limping heavily alongside Cross with the kids, Error stumbling along at the front. "I'll stay here for a bit longer and keep X at bay, you go with the others."

As soon as I said that, I knew he'd object.

"N-No! I'm staying with you!" He protested, his expression determined.

"Dream, you're injured."

"I-I don't care!"

I went to respond to him when a burst of insane, pained giggles rang out from behind me. I whipped around, my eyes instantly widening as they landed on X.

His entire left side was practically missing, his arm having been blasted to oblivion. All that was left was an openly bleeding stump, his flesh-like bones exposed, raw and burned. Half of his face seemed to have melted slightly, twisting it into an awful, dripping permanent half smile. His whole body twitched as he stumbled over to us, letting out a strangled rasping sound.

"W-We should p-probably run." Dream stuttered, tugging on my arm. "C-C'mon Killer!"

X let out a choked laugh, his eyes widening crazily as he drunkly staggered over to us, his mouth dripping with blood. "D-Don't run~! I-I've only just started~!"

---Sci's POV----

"H-Hurry!" I called, sprinting down the stairs that lead to the main control room to the lab. The same room that Fell had spent so many years caged up in.

Fell jumped down ahead of me, kicking his foot forwards and smashing open the door. "When are you gonna tell us what you're planning?!"

"Yeah! What's happening?!" Gradient asked, having came with me by my request.

I stumbled into the room, immediately running over to the main control panels that hold access to most of the entire labs systems. "I-I'm going to rig the controls!"

"And do what?!"

I skidded to a stop at the main panel, slamming my hands down on the outer rimming desk part. I didn't even bother looking back at them. "I'm going to set this place to self destruct."

"YOU'RE GOING TO WHAT?!"

I flinched, glancing at them quickly to take in their shook expressions before starting to press down on keys rapidly, my eyes narrowing in concentration. "I've told the others. Error should be ushering everyone outside as we speak while the others keep X back for just a little longer."

"B-But--" Fell stuttered.

"No buts, Fell. This could be the only way."

"B-But what if we can't escape in time?!"

I winced, ignoring him as I scanned across all the panels before opening one up, revealing the mess of wires and cables beneath. "Gradient. I'll need you."

Gradient stumbled over quickly, raising an 'eyebrow' as he saw all of them. "And what exactly do you want me to do...?"

I wiped the sweat off of my forehead, shivering. "I-I need you to reroute all the power here to this small control panel here." I pointed at a small dusty control panel, starting to walk over to it.

"... And what does that control?"

"Despite being small and visually disappointing, this controls the main power core to this place down in the basement. I-I'll get us into its controls, a-and if you overload it with all the power aimed at the rest of the building, th-then we have a high chance of being able to blow it up."

"And then cause a chain reaction to the rest of the building..."

"E-Exactly..." I muttered, sighing as I felt Fell hug me from behind. "It's risky...and it might not even work...but we've got to try..."

They both nodded, inhaling shakily as we watched Gradient pulling out wires before delicately placing them somewhere else, steadily rerouting all the buildings power to the core of this lab.

"As soon as I set this off...we need go run..." I muttered, shivering slightly as Fell kissed my cheek.

"We'll all run like the world's collapsing behind us..." He muttered, nuzzling me affectionately.

"It might as well be..." I whispered, kissing his cheek back in return. "This really is the end game..."

Gradient rolled his eyes, glancing back at us. "I'm loving all this emotional poetry, but I've done it. So get a move on."

I squeaked, quickly scrambling over to the small control panel, which was now sparking slightly from its current overload on energy. "R-Right. I-I've got this."

Gradient backed away quickly, staying by the door incase we needed to make a quick exit.

Fell stayed by me, hugging me from behind as he watched me fiddle with all the controls, his head resting on my shoulder. "What if this doesn't work...?"

I winced, resting my finger over the button that would confirm my decision and overload the power core. "Th-Then we're all fucked..."

As soon as the verified notifications popped up on the screen above us, I slammed my hand down on the small red button on the panel, confirming.

No sooner than I'd done that, the whole building jolted, sending all three of us to the floor with a crack.

I yelped, clutching my shoulder, which had absorbed most the impact. "R-RUN!"

Gradient scrambled to his feet, at the exit in seconds, his expression frantic.

I pulled myself up to my feet, only to freeze as a booming crack rang out above us. I looked up, my eyes widening as I saw the ceiling start to collapse with me still under it.

"Sci!"

I yelped as something barrelled into my side and shoving me forwards, sending me sprawling across the floor just as the ceiling collapsed and crashed to the floor.

Dust blew everywhere and I coughed violently, clutching my side. My hand came back sticky with blood.

"S-Sci..."

I whipped around, hissing in pain as my damaged side stung horribly. But I immediately froze upon seeing Fell.

He was limp on the floor, only his top half visible. By shoving me out of the way from the falling ceiling, he had got crushed by it instead, his body from the waist down being hidden under chunks of ceiling and rubble.

"F-Fell!" I cried, scrambling over to him, my hands gripping onto his. "N-No! A-Are you okay?!"

He coughed weakly, shaking his head as he looked up at me, tears running down his cheeks. "Sci...leave me..."

"N-No!" I cried, trying to push the rubble off of him with no success. "I-I can't leave you here!"

"GUYS?!"

We both looked to our left to see Gradient stood in the doorway, his eyes wide with shock.

"RUN!" I yelled, jolting as the building shook again, the whole thing seeming to collapse a bit mor, some ceiling crashing to the ground right by Gradient's side.

"B-But--"

"FORGET US! RUN!" I shouted, gripping onto Fell tighter.  "THE WHOLE THING'S GONNA BLOW IN A MINUTE!"

He faltered slightly, clenching his hands into fists. But then to my relief, he turned around and ran back up the stairs, going out of sight.

"S-Sci..." Fell mumbled, his grip on my hands slowly weakening. "Go with him...y-you'll die if you don't..."

"You don't get it, do you..." I whispered, shaking slightly as the room started crumbling and heating up. "W-We're gonna to face this just like we face everything else. Together."

Fell looked up at me, choking a weak laugh. "Y-You and me Sci, I-It's you and me...against the world."

"I-I love you Fell..." I whispered, hugging him tighter than ever before.

"I-I love you too Sci..."

And then the walls broke down, flames bursting into the room, rushing towards us as we smiled softly at each other, never happier to be in each other's arms...
