---Chara's POV----

(Ahaha sorry but Chara's POV is like my favourite to use at the moment cuz I find it works rather nicely)

We all froze as X looked over us, his black tongue hanging out of his mouth as he licked his lips.

"Oh my~ You've spoilt me for choice~ Just look at all these succulent children~" He let out a little giggle at the end, tilting his head to the side.

Error growled, stepping forwards with two sharpened bone attacks by his side. "We've come to put an end to this, X!"

"Oh have you now~? How quaint~" He stood up straighter, clearly stronger than the guys last saw him...thanks to Cross' unborn child. "You see Error~" He whispered, slowly walking towards us. "I'm here to put an end to all this as well~"

Error hissed, flinging one of his bone attacks towards the slowly advancing X.

He deflected it with ease, chuckling softly as he shook his head. "Oh you silly things~ Haven't you noticed something different about me by now~?"

I stiffened, watching as his expression changed completely to one of pure sadism. He was going to tear the group apart...

"You're stronger." Nightmare hissed, making me flinch. "You're body isn't as fucked up as before. WHO DID YOU EAT?!"

Instantly everyone looked around them, checking that all their kids were there. None were missing.

X chuckled darkly, his eyes widening in slight surprise. "Oh~? So Cross hasn't told you yet~?"

The others all looked over at Cross in confusion as he shook his head, silently begging X not to say anymore.

"You wonder where I got this power from~? Well I'll tell you this, Nightmare." He looked dead at him, grinning widely. "I tore your unborn child from him and devoured it. It's energy was quite pathetic. But it was enough~"

Nightmare froze, looking at Cross, who was already on his knees, tears streaming down his face. "H-He's lying. R-Right?!"

Cross looked up at him before weakly shaking his head.

"Y-YOU'RE LYING!" Nightmare yelled desperately, crouching down next to Cross before summoning his soul.

Everyone gasped at the sight of the soul. It was cracked, bruised, and obviously ripped in half. There was no baby soul floating next to it.

"YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Nightmare yelled, launching himself at X.

X sidestepped his attack, grinning widely. "Oh your anger is great~ If it had not been children I need to eat, you'd be the meal I'd look forwards to eating the most~"

Nightmare hissed, lashing out two of his tentacles.

X sidestepped one, but the other caught him by surprise and speared through the side of his chest, making him screech in pain before grabbing Nightmare with magic and flinging him across the room.

Nightmare hit the wall with a thud, crying out as he fell to the floor in a crumpled heap.

"N-Nightmare!" Cross called, immediately scrambling over to his side.

"And that's not all~" X purred softly, watching in amusement as Cross hugged Nightmare tightly. "You have two traitors in your group~ One forced, one by choice~"

We all stiffened, immediately glaring accusingly at each other.

"And who might they be?!" Killer yelled, pulling Dream closer to him protectively.

X laughed, suddenly clicking his fingers.

As soon as he did that, Reaper collapsed to the floor, coughing and choking as his body twitched.

"Reaper!" Geno cried, falling to his knees next to his lover, fussing over him as he glared at X. "What did you do to him?!"

X cackled, looking back over all of us. "How do you think I found out your location in Serinity? Ever since day one, when I paid the little glitch and his cloaked cop a visit I possessed him. Making him my little puppet. It was me that made him say all those things, do all those 'un-Reaper-like' things."

"S-So you're the one that said those things a-about Cross?" Geno stuttered, holding Reaper close to his chest as he coughed weakly, looking as if he'd just woken up from a long sleep.

"Exactly~"

"Of course!" Error hissed, everything seeming to click into place for him. "Reaper would have never said stuff like that! You were trying to tear our group apart!"

X smirked widely, licking his teeth again as he looked from Error over at Nightmare, who had just got to his feet again and was walking over with Cross back to us. "But there's still one more traitor we need to go over~ Don't we, Error~"

Error immediately froze, shaking his head quickly. "N-No--"

X laughed, suddenly teleporting right by Nightmare's side, cupping Cross' face with a hand. "Do you want to know the truth about what happened the night I took your precious Crossy from you~?"

Nightmare hissed, slapping X's hand away from Cross' face before pulling the smol close to his chest. "I already know, you creep."

"Oh Nightmare~ Tell me, what did Error say happened~?"

At this point Error looked sick, his whole body rigid with fear. "S-Stop--"

Nightmare hissed. "He said you came and grabbed him. They tried to help, but you ran off quicker than they could save Cross."

X laughed hysterically, clutching his sides as he grinned demonically. "He lied~"

Nightmare stiffened slightly, glancing down at the shaking figure of Cross in his arms before looking over at Error.

"He traded Cross over to me~" X whispered. "He forced him to go to me~ The one thing he fears the most in the world~ Oh you should have seen how terrified he was~ How he desperately screamed for you to help him~ Oh it really was a sight to see~"

A sort of shadow seemed to cast over Nightmare's face as he slowly stepped away from Cross, looking down as he chuckled softly. "Error..."

Error took a few steps back, shaking his head. "N-Nightmare you don't understand--"

"Don't understand what?" He hissed, looking up at Error with an expression so murderous that most of us took a step back. "Don't understand that you're the reason my kid is dead?!"

"I-I had to!"

"You had to?!" Nightmare suddenly lashed out, wrapping a tentacle around Error's neck tightly before he yanked him down onto the floor. "There was a reason you chose for Cross to be tortured!? THERE'S NO FUCKING VALID REASON FOR THAT!!"

"I-I--" Error choked, squirming desperately on the ground as Nightmare's tentacles strangled him.

"YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO TRADE HIS LIFE OVER! WHAT MAKES YOU THE DICTATOR OF WHO LIVES AND WHO DIES?!"

"IT WAS CROSS OR MY WHOLE FAMILY!!" Error yelled, clawing at the tentacle around his neck. "HE WOULD HAVE KILLED THEM IF I HADN'T GIVEN HIM CROSS!"

Nightmare glared down at Error, his other tentacles curling around the choking glitch before one stabbed right through his chest.

"YOU WOULD HAVE TRADED MY FAMILY IN A HEARTBEAT IF OUR POSITIONS WERE SWITCHED!!" Error yelled, screaming out in pain as the tentacle speared through him before snapping off one of his ribs.

Nightmare looked like he was about to stab Error through the skull with a tentacle, but stopped suddenly as a pair of arms wrapped around his waist.

"N-Nighty..." Cross mumbled, pressing his face into Nightmare's back as he hugged him from behind. "J-Just let him go..."

"But he--"

"N-Nightmare y-you're scaring me!" He whimpered.

Nightmare stiffened, glancing behind him quickly before hissing and lifting Error up, quickly flinging him into a nearby wall with a sickening crunch.

He didn't get back to his feet.

"Error!" Ink cried, rushing over to his husband with their kids.

Nightmare watched them scornfully before turning around and hugging Cross tightly to his chest, focusing back on X again. "Alright then asshole. You're successfully tearing our group apart. Now what?"

X let out a little giggle, clapping his hands playfully, like a child would. "Now the fun starts~"

He suddenly whipped round, grabbing Error and Ink with magic before lifting them up in the air, grinning at the sound of Ink's terrified protests. Error was unconscious. "You're going on a journey~!"

We all stumbled back, watching as he full on flung them towards a wall. That would kill them for sure!

At the last second a doorway opened up and they flew through, disappearing into the blackness behind.

"Who's next?" X called cheerfully, ignoring Pj and Gradient as he looked over the rest of us, grinning. "Oh! I know!"

Blue and Dust both suddenly let out a shriek of fear as they were lifted in the air by magic, struggling and thrashing as they clung to each other.

Sprinkle panicked, trying to run after them. But Horror held him back, watching in absolute terror.

Blue and Dust were flung into the black opening in the wall as well, their screams stopping horribly abruptly.

X giggled, doing the same to Horror and Lust before Killer and Dream.

He was leaving out all the kids...

"H-He's trying to isolate all the kids! He's gonna get all of them!" I yelled, running back with Betty over to Nightmare and Cross' side.

X's lizard-like gaze landed on us, and he let out a little cackle. "Oh you always were smarter than the others Chara, weren't you~?"

As he said that, he grabbed onto Geno and Reaper, flinging the two screaming monsters into the black opening.

Now Nightmare and Cross were the only adults left.

Along with all the kids.

"Tell me Nightmare~" X purred, tilting his head to the side as he lifted the two of them up in the air. "Which child would you not mind me eating first~?"
