CHANG SOO-JIN WAS an achiever.

A class valedictorian and a naturally gifted woman. She was the best among the rest. Ever since she was a child, she joined school contests: spelling bees, quiz bees, public speaking competitions -- name it and she has won it first second place.

Exceptional, brilliant, and driven.

Soo-Jin wasn't afraid to do what was needed to achieve the goal. She was the type of person who face obstacles in life head-on and say, "Try me", rather than shrink and say, "Why me?".

A risk-taker and an overcomer. Soo-Jin was often told that her future was bright for she was a determined woman.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck the Chang family and Soo-Jin was forced to drop her dreams in order to pay her ailing sister's mounting hospital bills. Neck-deep in debt, Chang Soo-Jin contacted black market organ dealers to exchange one of her kidneys for one that her sister can use since the latter was in desperate need of a kidney transplant.

As she was on her way to the organ dealers, a recruiter suddenly approaches her, asking her to play Ddakji with him, immediately accepting when she saw the cash prize in his attache case. After the mini-game, he gave her a card and was told to register herself for some games that will reward her with more cash. Enticed, she signs up and confidently enters the competition that was based on popular children's games.

However, as soon as the first round began, she and the other players horrifyingly discover that elimination equates to death.

And there can only be one victor among them.

Chang Soo-Jin was going to make sure that was going to be her.

For her sister who was waiting for her to come home... whatever it takes.

Ah, but you know what they say: the higher the climb, the harder the fall.

ayooo!! here we are again, folks! impulsively publishing stuff bc the idea is just so tempting not to be written- when i watched this netflix series, i just knew i had to make a fic for it!

so this fic will be short bc well, the series only has nine episodes. i have no idea who will be her LI here bc i don't know who to choose?? lol- we'll just decide as this goes on.. anyways, jun ji-hyun is so pretty, it hurts, i swear. i recommend watching il mare if you want some jun ji-hyun and lee jung jae content. WATCH KINGDOM TOO! her ashin character is so badass.

i'm currently doing research about asian culture since i really don't want to mess anything up. kindly correct me if i got something wrong!
