Julian's Narrative

It was another boring summer day, and Jack, Charlotte, and I were at Beecher Prep school

ready to meet this new kid that would be coming in the fall and show him around. So boring. My parents forced me to do it. Stupid parents. As we greeted Auggie and his mom at the door, Mr. Tushman interrupted us and said that we were to take him on a tour of the school. The tour went smoothly and everyone was silent for the most part, until Charlotte started blabbering about her stupid play.

"I was so, so nervous!" and "Everyone was glaring at me and I didn't see my parents and I was so petrified!" or something along those lines. (Alliteration) Eventually, I tried to change the conversation by saying, "What's the deal with your face?" to Auggie, not because I was trying to be rude, but I was really curious. Charlotte accused me for being malicious. She was like, "Julian, that's so rude!" People just shrugged it off, like it wasn't a big deal. However, I held it back in my brain (Alliteration) as we kept walking towards the door.

We headed towards the auditorium door. I noticed Jack looked at Auggie right in the face, smiled at him, and waved. I also took note that Jack uttered the words 'Julian' and 'jerk' while he was walking with Auggie. Clearly he was talking about me. I rolled my eyes. I couldn't wait until I got home for some ice cream. Anything to get away from this school. I could just smell it from a mile away.

"Come on, Julian!" Charlotte yelled. Us two were lagging behind of Jack and Auggie, whom were about to open the door to the next hallway.

Following a while of walking, Charlotte tries to correct my spelling of 'supposably'. I know she's on Auggie's side because she said, "I heard you!" When the tour concluded, Auggie's mom was waiting at the door. "Everyone was really nice!" Those were the words that Auggie said on his way out of the school. I bet he lied just so Jack and Charlotte wouldn't get in trouble.

Later, when Auggie said goodbye, he didn't look up. I sighed and my eyes began to well up with water, which were tears. I will never meet anyone like August Pullman. (Alliteration)
