When & How?
When and how specifically will I give the critique and feedback? If you have signed up, you might be wondering ;)
Let me explain.
When
If you have signed-up and you see "Seen! (number)", you don't have to worry about nudging me or asking me if I'm going to do it. Because I am. However, it's going to be mainly a weekend endeavor for me as I'm quite busy during the week, and too tired at the end of the day to give a proper critique and feedback.
I could.
But it won't help you.
My brain would be sludge and mush.
---------------------------------
How
A bunch of inline comments with a mixture of critique and feedback. I might give grammar edits if I see anything striking. I'll probably only comment on the structure and order of sentences if it's confusing while reading and impacts my critique and feedback. I'll also touch on the "Anything you want me to focus on" if I come across it while reading.
I will leave comments on things I liked, but I can't guarantee it. The reasons I can't guarantee this are subjective: not my favorite genre, not my favorite topic, not my favorite kind of setting or character...I'm human. My own likes and dislikes will affect if I liked something or not. I can't help it.
At the end, I'll give an overall critique and feedback, looking at the chapter as a whole, repeating some things I think are important for you to think about or revisit, and also I'll touch on the "Anything you want me to focus on" in this overall comment as well.
Then, I'll end it with "These are my suggestions. Take this with a grain of salt. Happy Writing!/Good luck on your writing endeavors!" or something of the like.
Each chapter will have this level of critique and feedback. I might do an extra overall comment on the 2nd chapter for the "first few chapters critique and feedback" looking at the two chapters as one whole.
