Chapter 120

All that Harry, Ron, and Hermione could talk about the next day was Umbridge, and how she was certainly the person who had attacked Hedwig and read Sirius's letter. But Jenna could only think about one thing, and that was the fact that Sirius was so close to being caught.

Throughout the next few days, the three young Gryffindors were still searching for a good place to hold the Dumbledore's Army's meetings. Jenna feared that they wouldn't choose wisely and get caught, so she decided to take the matters in her own hands.

So, one day that the students were all in the middle of their classes, Crookshanks made her way down toward the corridor where the kitchen was. Jenna then transformed into a random student once she was sure that no one was around.

Although instead of entering the kitchen, she stayed in the deserted hallway and called out, "Mickey!"

The next moment, the house elf appeared out of thin air in front of Jenna, and immediately recognized her even though she wasn't in her own form.

"What can Mickey do for Lady Jenna?" said the house elf, bowing down deeply.

Casting a charm around them so they wouldn't be overheard, Jenna turned to face Mickey again, saying, "I need your help, Mickey."

"Anything, my Lady! Anything!" Mickey exclaimed excitedly.

"Do you happen to know of a secret place at Hogwarts?" she asked unsurely. "Is there a place where around thirty students could gather and practice magic, without being found?"

The house elf thought for long seconds before saying, "Mickey knows of the Come And Go Room, my lady."

"What's that?" Jenna questioned, having never heard of it.

"It's a secret room inside Hogwarts that appears every once in a while, although Mickey doesn't know how you can access it. But my Lady can find it on the seventh floor. It's also known as the Room of Requirements."

"Who else knows about this place?"

"Only us elves I think, my Lady," said Mickey. "I doubt if even the teachers know about it."

"Brilliant!" Jenna grinned. "Listen, Mickey, Harry is looking for such a place, and he has asked Dobby to search for a good secret place. Can you speak with Dobby, and tell him about this Room of Requirements indirectly, without mentioning me?"

"Ooh, Mickey knows Dobby!" Mickey suddenly cried out. "Dobby is a very strange elf. Dobby cleans the Gryffindor common room, because none of the other house elves will clean it after one of the Gryffindor girls started to place knitted clothes all over the room. So Dobby collects all the knitted hats and wears them. But Dobby is very nice to Mickey. Mickey likes Dobby very much."

"Yeah, that would be Hermione's doing." Jenna chuckled, remembering S.P.E.W. "So, could you please talk to Dobby?"

"Of course!" Mickey said happily, bowing down. "Mickey loves to help the Potter family!"

It was the day before their first Dumbledore's Army lesson. Everyone was gathered in the common room at night, doing their homework and catching up with old assignments.

Although Hermione's head shot up when she heard a light meow. Looking up, she saw Crookshanks staring at her with her yellow eyes, but then the ginger turned around and ran up to the girls' dormitory.

"Er... I'll be back," Hermione said to Harry and Ron, who were too busy being confused by Snape's essay to even notice she was gone.

Hermione followed the cat into the empty dorm. The moment she closed the door behind them, Jenna transformed back to human and set the protective charms on the room, before turning to face Hermione.

"Is something wrong?" Hermione asked worriedly.

"No, I just wanted to talk," said Jenna with a smile, though she looked very tired. "I know your first gathering is tomorrow, so —"

"Oh, which reminds me!" Hermione started excitedly, taking a golden Galleon from her pocket and handing it it to Jenna.

"What's this?" Jenna mused.

"This is how I let everyone know of the time and date of our next lesson! Look at the numbers on it!" she went on, the excitement clear in her eyes. "Every member has one of these, and when the date changes, the Galleon turns red and starts burning a little, so they'll know."

Jenna stared back at her with widened eyes. "I — wow... I really don't know what to say... Hermione... this is absolutely brilliant! But — but this kind of magic is supposed to be beyond your age! Honestly... you're too smart for your own good." She chuckled.

"Oh, it was nothing," Hermione said, beaming, though her cheeks had flushed pink. "Anyway, what did you want to say?"

"Ah, right." Jenna nodded in realization. She then handed the golden coin back to Hermione before taking a long parchment from her own pocket. "Take a look at this."

Confused, Hermione took the parchment and opened it up, her jaw nearly dropping at what she saw. The long parchment rolled to the ground, and on it, there was a long list of different spells, jinxes, hexes, many counter curses, and even a few easy healing spells and protection charms, along with their usage, instructions, incantations, and wand movements.

"I — Jenna —" Hermione started, at loss for words as she stares at the parchment.

"This is the list of useful spells that you can use," said Jenna, smiling sheepishly. "Give this to Harry, and say you've written it. You can all learn them in your lessons."

"But when did you —?"

"Last night," Jenna answered. "I went to the library. And of course Madam Pince had to allow the Arithmancy professor to stay over at night to look at a few books." She winked.

"You — you impersonated Professor Septima Vector to stay at the library over night and write this?" Hermione asked in a hollow voice, looking at Jenna in disbelief.

"Yup."

"But — but this must've taken you all night to write!"

"Meh..." Jenna shrugged, though from her proud grin and tired eyes it was obvious that she had in fact stayed awake all night long.

"Oh, my..." Hermione was saying, but she stopped in mid-sentence as she sprang forward and brought Jenna into a tight hug. "Thank you... thank you so much..."

Jenna laughed, hugging her back. "You're welcome."

"But I thought you were against this whole idea," said Hermione, pulling back.

"It's not that I'm against it... it's just that... I'm worried for you guys, that's all," she said earnestly. "We've seen what Umbridge is capable of when it comes to punishments. And I don't want any of you to get into trouble with that old hag."

"So... what made you change your mind?" Hermione asked with a grin, pointing at the long parchment.

"Well..." Jenna started with a little smirk, "that night when we were talking to Sirius, I realized that he was right..."

"About what?"

"When he said that there was no way he and James would've lain back if someone like Umbridge was at our time," Jenna explained, her grin broadening. "And I realized he was right. There was no way I would've sat quietly and done nothing."
