❝ but you're 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲, lets start 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 ❞
DELANEY WOKE UP to the sound of construction taking place outside of her house. A few days had passed since she had snuck over to the Chateau to hang out with JJ and his friends, and since then, Hurricane Agatha had swept through the Outer Banks and left a trail of damage in its wake.
She rose out of bed and went and got ready, putting a white two piece bikini on under her clothes, putting on her shoes as well, before heading down stairs and outside, looking around at the fallen tree branches and scattered outside decor.
"Hurricane Agatha did some damage." Her mother said walking over to stand next to the girl. "The generator should be on, just so you know." She informed.
"Oh, it is. Thank God." Ryder ran a hand down his face as he walked outside to stand next to them, still dressed in his sleepwear. "I'm gonna call Rafe and see if his is on as well." The boy said, heading right back inside as quick as he came out, Lilah shaking her head with a smile on her face.
"Uh, mom, I'm gonna go out, if thats alright..." Delaney fiddled with her hands.
"Of course it is." Lilah permitted. "This mess should be cleaned up by the time you get back. Have fun. Don't stay out too late."
"I won't." Delaney called back as she made her way out of the front gate.
THE HMS POGUE glided through the water, towards the dark-haired girl as she grew closer to the dock.
"Good morning sunshine." The familiar voice of the Maybank voice greeted as he held his hand out to help her in.
"Morning guys." Delaney greeted, as the rest of the Pogues said their hellos. She sat down next to JJ and Kiara as the two took out a bottle of beer from the cooler the other girl brought.
"Want one?" JJ asked, pulling another bottle out to let her see.
"After the last beer you had me try, I think I'm good." Delaney shook her head, a small smile growing on her lips.
"Hey, I told you it'll take some time to get used to. Can't get used to it if you put it off entirely."
"JJ's the one who brought that beer, mines going to be much better." Kiara joked, causing JJ to place a hand over his heart in offense.
"Don't diss my choice of beer."
"Brace for impact." John B spoke from behind the wheel as the boat picked up speed. JJ and Kiara cracked open their beer bottles, clinking them together with a small cheer, before drinking from them, JJ holding his out in the air as if it were a trophy.
As time went on, Pope and John B swapped positions as John B had went to get a bottle of beer himself. Delaney and Kiara were talking about their favorite shows when JJ suddenly called out, already on his second bottle of beer.
"Let me show y'all a party trick."
"Damon's hot but Stefan is definitively better..." Kiara trailed off as she and Delaney looked up at the blonde boy, who got up to stand on the front of the boat, holding onto his beer.
"Pope, can you go a little faster please?" JJ requested.
"Oh, God." Kiara muttered.
"It doesn't work." John B shook his head, as he moved as to get out of the splash zone that occurred due to JJ's 'party trick'. "We've tried this, like, 6,000 times."
"What is he..." Delaney trailed off as she watched, new to what exactly the party trick was that the boy was trying to do.
"I've got this." JJ yelled back. "It's gonna work!" The boy opened his mouth, holding out the beer in front of him, not exactly putting it to his lips. He tilted the beer down, causing the beer to spill out, the momentum of the boats movements causing some of the liquid to get into his mouth, while the rest splashed onto the two girls that sat below him.
"Oh my God. You're getting beer in our hair." Kiara said as the two girls turned away from the spray.
"Alright. Alright!" Pope said, holding his hand out in front of his face, to block any of the beer from hitting him. "Stop!"
"JJ, you've impressed us, it's enough." Delaney called out, feeling as more beer splashed her.
"Alright, you're done." John B spoke from behind Pope, his head turned to the side to protect himself.
The motor suddenly gave a loud roar as the boat came to a sudden halt, causing JJ to fly off of the front, the rest of the group jolting forward, falling over.
"Jesus, Pope." Kiara muttered as she sat up.
Delaney looked over the edge of the boat finding JJ resurfacing with a groan. "Are you alright?"
JJ groaned again in response. "I think my heels touched the back of my head."
"You two alright?" John B asked to two girls, looking in pain himself.
"I'm alright." Kiara answered.
"I'm good." Delaney nodded along.
"Pope what did you do?" JJ questioned weakly.
"Sandbar. The channel changed." The boy answered, an apology laced in his tone.
"No shit." JJ said, beginning to swim back over to the boat.
"Ugh, this is probably gonna mess this whole place up." John B inferred as Pope stood up onto where JJ once stood.
"Hey I saved the beer though." JJ held up the now marsh-water filled beer.
"Congrats, JJ." John B feigned a celebration.
Pope looked into the water past JJ, eyes squinting as he tried to get a good look at the blurry blob of white that was a few feet away from JJ.
"Guys... I think there's a boat down there..." Pope slowly spoke, leaning forward to look in further.
"Shut up." John B dismissed.
"No way." Kiara shook her head.
Delaney leaned over again, looking into the water, seeing the blurred outline of what the boy was seeing.
"No, no guys, I'm serious. There's a boat down there, for real ." Pope pointed. The group looked where Pope was pointing. "It's a boat."
"Holy shit, he's right. Let's go!" Kiara began to pull off her shorts while the other two boys took off their shirts. Delaney, wanting to join them, pulled off her own clothes leaving her in her own swimwear, JJ let out a low whistle.
"You are so weird." Kiara told the boy.
"Ignore him." Pope recommended to the blushing girl as John B jumped into the water with JJ, the blonde boy making finger guns at the girl.
"Looking good, Del."
Kiara jumped in with the rest of them, Pope and Delaney jumping in after them, the five swimming over to the wreck. Delaney sucked in a large gulp of air before diving in with the group, heading towards the ship. They looked around, before rising back up and breaking through the surface, all of them sucking in much needed oxygen.
"You guys saw that right?" JJ questioned, the rest of them all muttering 'yeah's in response. "Thats a Grady-White." JJ informed as they began to swim back to their boat. "A new one of those is like 500 Gs, easy." They all climbed back on to the HMS Pogue. "Thats a primo rig."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the boat I saw when I surfed the surge." John B added. "Maybe it hit the jetty or something."
"You surfed the surge?" Kiara inquired.
"That's my boy. Pogue style." JJ went up to John B the two dapping up.
"Wait, do we know whose boat that is?" Pope walked over as well.
"No, but we're about to find out." John B opened a compartment.
"Dude it's too deep." JJ enlightened as Delaney came to stand next to him, the two looking down at the sunken boat.
"Oh, for the weak and feeble, JJ." John B rummaged through the compartment, pulling out the boats anchor, holding it as he stood up straight.
"Alright, well I'm not resuscitating you. I'm just making that clear up front." JJ remarked.
"Are you sure thats safe?" Delaney asked, a worried look on her face as she realized what the boy was going to do.
"Diver down, fool." Pope saluted.
"Diver down." The boy saluted back.
"Yeah he is." JJ pushed the boy into the water, the boy falling in with a splash.
"JJ!" Delaney swatted his bicep.
"What?" The blonde shrugged as the other two shook their heads.
The four looking into the water, waiting for the brunette boy to resurface. As more time went on, the group became more worried.
"If he's dead, we all blame JJ." Delaney decided.
"Second that." Pope rose and hand in agreement.
"Third it." Kiara added.
"Hey!" The boy in question said in faux offense.
"Should we go get him." The second the words left Popes mouth, the boy resurfaced, pushing back the hair from his face, coughing.
"Oh my God, that took forever!" Kiara noted.
"Any dead bodies?" Pope inquired.
"Looting potential?" Delaney nudged the blonde at his question.
"No. No. I found this motel key." John B held up the key in question as JJ picked up the anchor.
"A key." Pope quizzically asked.
"Yes, a key, Pope." The boy began swimming back to the boat.
"Great! We salvaged a motel key." JJ sarcastically said.
"Guys, we should report the wreck to the coast guard." Kiara suggested. "Maybe we'll get a finders fee."
"Yeah, they could do something about this." Delaney agreed.
"Yeah, and not work all summer. Except for my favorite customer." JJ smiled, poking Delaneys thigh. "Well, thanks, Agatha, ya batch."
THE GROUP HAD changed back into their clothes and walked along the dock up to the coast guards. Delaney, Kiara and Pope watched as JJ and John B walked in, walking up to the man behind the counter, trying to tell him about their discovery, only to be dismissed by him, the two walking back over annoyed.
"Well, that went well." Pope said as the group hung around the entrance of the building.
"So, whats the plan?" JJ asked, putting his arm on John B's shoulder.
"I think I know how we're gonna find the guy who owns this boat." John B, held up the motel key he had found.
"No, no, we don't know whose room that is it can be anyones." Pope reasoned.
"I'm in." JJ said, taking the key tossing it to Kiara.
"Come on. You'll be on lookout." Kiara shrugged as she followed after John B and JJ.
"We can't just sneak into some guys motel room." Delaney agreed with Pope.
"Thank you for being the only other person thinking logically here." Pope thanked, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as the two reluctantly followed after the other three.
"At least you two will only be accomplices." John B remedied, as the group went back to the boat.
THE BOAT MOVED closer to the motel that the key belonged to, JJ letting out a low whistle at seeing all the damage the hurricane did to it. "I thought the Chateau looked bad."
"This place is a shit show." John B insulted.
"Motel or meth lab?"
"You be the judge." Pope answered Kie.
"Agatha really is a batch." Delaney shook her head.
"Doesn't look like a place somebody with a Grady-White stays." John B pondered.
"No. It looks like the type of place someone with a Grady-White would get killed." Pope ominously countered.
"Alright, here we go." JJ began as the boat pulled up to land, taking hold of the rope used to tie the boat onto land. "This is your captain speaking." JJ spoke into his hands, causing it to sound as if he were speaking into a walkie-talkie. "HMS Pogue comin' in for landing." JJ jumped onto the grass, stopping the boat as it carried up a bit, tying the boat to a cleat.
"We good?" John B questioned.
"Yeah, we good." JJ assured.
"Alright. Here goes nothing." John B said, walking to get out of the boat.
"Hey." Pope stopped him.
"Yeah." The brunette boy said, turning back to face his friend.
"Don't let him-" Pope pointed at JJ, "-do anything stupid."
"Oh, we will." JJ waved off as John B turned to look at him.
"I'm not making any promises." John B shrugged.
"Yeah I know." Pope shook his head.
"Be careful." Kiara said, handing John B the motel keys. "I mean it."
"Yeah." A smile grew on the boys face as he turned and began to walk towards JJ.
"And try not to get yourselves caught." Delaney suggested, looking between the two boys, who had placed themselves up to do something stupid, as always.
"We can try." JJ shrugged as John B slapped him on the shoulder.
"Let's go." And the two boys began walking over to the motel.
"JUST BE SO careful John B." JJ mocked as he grabbed onto the boys shoulders pulling him back.
"God, you're so weird." The boy said, pushing off the other.
"What the heck was that about?" JJ questioned, accusingly.
"I don't know. Maybe she wants us to be careful." John B answered as if it were obvious.
"Since she heard you're being threatened with exile, she's just been, like, 'Oh!'-" JJ grabbed him again, massaging his shoulders, causing the boy to try and push him away again, "-'Be so careful, John B."
"Get off." The boy freed himself from JJ's hold as he continued.
"'Oh, give me that John D already.' Like, when are you gonna swoop on that man."
"You cannot possibly be talking. When you've been acting like that with Delaney but worse. And bro, you know the rule. No Pogue-on-Pogue macking." John B reminded. "You're literally always hitting on Delaney."
"Yeah, cause she's really pretty, and really rich, and she's also really pretty."
"Oh you are so fucked." John B laughed.
"I don't know man, I lost my mojo because of her." JJ explained, scratching the back of his neck.
"We all know. Cause it was just like, every girl who has a heartbeat, you're just like." John B held his arms out, groaning as he exaggeratedly imitated how he used to act with women. "And now you're just like. Delaney, Delaney, Delaney." John B said in a sing-song tone as he twisted some of his hair around his finger.
"Alright. It's not a big deal." JJ sighed as the two finally came up to the room the key was under.
"This is it." John B lightly drummed his finger on the door.
JJ walked up to the door, knocking in a rhythmic beat. "Housekeeping." He said in a high pitched voice.
"Should we try it?" John B leaned down, pulling out the key.
"Yeah." JJ looked through the window, trying to see any sign of movement through the blinds. "No persona aqui. No power. No security cameras. No one's gonna know." He finished as the door opened and the two stepped inside.
THE THREE RAN up to the motel, as two cops made their way to the room the other two were in. Pope picked up a pebble from the ground and looked up at the window, muttering for the girls to stand back before throwing the pebble and missing the window entirely, not even hitting the wall the window was connected to.
The two girls looked at him in shared disbelief. "Didn't you ever play baseball?" Kiara asked as she looked around for more pebbles, Delaney doing the same.
"I was on the math team!" Pope explained himself, as the two girls picked up a handful of pebbles. Kiara threw her handful, a few bouncing off the glass, though the two boys inside didn't notice, and so Delaney tried with hers, and finally, they saw John B peek through the blinds, before putting his head underneath it entirely, watching as the three hurriedly pointed to the side, where the two cops were approaching, mouthing the word repeatedly to him, the boy quickly ducking back inside.
The three could only hope that the two wouldn't get caught as they walked back to the HMS Pogue. All hopes for them vanished as Delaney turned around only to find th3em standing outside the window, pressed against two pillars to try to get from view of the two cops inside.
"Oh my God." Kiara spoke in disbelief, putting her head in her hands, as Pope tried to motion for them to get down.
As if it couldn't get worse, a gun fell from JJ's pocket, clanking loudly as it fell to the ground. Delaney internally groaning as she fell back shaking her head.
Seconds later, the blinds were pulled open, Shoupe looking through, causing the three to quickly turn to each other, pretending to have a conversation. The two cops finally pulled back from the window, grabbing the evidence they had found before leaving. The two boys sneaking off back to the boat.
"Are you two out of your minds?" Delaney had an exasperated look on her face, looking between the two as they undid the rope holding the boat to the land.
"Yeah, maybe." John B shrugged as he got behind the wheel and drove off.
"Well that was fun. Could have warned us sooner." JJ lightened the mood.
"We would have except Pope was on the math team." Kiara explained.
"You were on the math team?" John B asked surprised, looking over at the boy who sat next to him, who sighed in response. "The cops took everything like it was a crime scene." John B explained what the two had seen.
"Did you guys find anything?" Pope asked.
"Did we find anything?" JJ sat up. "No, I don't think so-" he suddenly pulled out a gun and a band of cash. "Oh, yeah, we did."
"What the hell?" Pope stood up in disbelief.
"JJ are you insane?" Delaney's eyes widened as the boy openly held out the stollen gun and money.
"Dude what?" Kiara asked, looking back at John B who had a smile on his face.
"Dude chill, come on." JJ said, walking over to Pope.
"Why would you take that from a crime scene?" Pope backed up.
"It's better than the cops having it, bro." JJ countered.
"Cops actually deal with guns, JJ. Now your prints are all over that thing." Delaney shook her head.
"I'm gonna lose my merit scholarship." Pope realized.
"If my mom finds out I was this close to a gun she would kill me." Delaney ran a hand through her hair.
"Hey, hey, hey." JJ placed his arm around Delaneys shoulder, to ease her worrying. He then turned to Pope grabbing his head. "At least you have us, right."
"I'm living the nightmare." Pope muttered, going back to sit next to John B, as Delaney pulled herself from JJ's hold, sitting next to Kie, avoiding the blonde boys eyes, as John B shook his head at him.
THE FIVE WATCHED as the body of Scooter Grubbs was retrieved from the water surrounding the dock and placed on a stretcher. Delaney watched pitifully as, who seemed to be the mans wife ran over, mourning over him.
"Who's that?" John B asked, a blonde girl who was sitting next to him answered.
"It's Scooter Grubbs. He was out during the storm." The girl then held out her phone. "Check out this pic I got. Dead body." The girl mocked. Delaney gave the girl a weird look.
"That's so insensitive." She muttered, avoiding the phone screen as the girl showed it off.
"What kind of boat did he have?" JJ inquired.
"Somehow, that dirtbag copped a brand new Grady-White." The group shared a look. "Everyone's out looking for it."
"OKAY SO UH... we didn't see anything." Pope pointed around the group as they sat around the front porch of the Chateau. "We don't know anything. We need to have total and complete amnesia." Pope finished sitting down on the couch.
"Actually, Pope's right," JJ pointed at the boy, before adding, "for once." He pushed himself to stand. "See I agree with you sometimes." He walked over to John B, "Deny, deny, deny."
"Guys, we can't keep that money." Kiara stated.
"Not all of us can afford unlimited data plans." JJ looked at the girl, before looking over at Delaney as well. "I'm looking at the both of you."
"What did I do?" Delaney furrowed her brows.
"We have to pass that off to Lana Grubbs." Kiara continued. "Otherwise it's bad karma."
"Bad karma to be implicated in a felony, too." Pope looked up at John B.
"And it's only right, she was his wife." Delaney added.
"We gotta go dark." Pope looked up at JJ.
"If that means we get to keep the money, then I agree." JJ walked to stand beside John B, looking out to the land in front of the chateau.
"I don't agree." John B pat JJ's shoulder as he walked away.
"What? Why?" The boy questioned.
"Just think about it." John B turned towards the group. "This is Scooter Grubbs we're talking about. Same dude that's buying individual cigarettes at the Porthole. Shit. One time I saw this dude begging for change in the Save-A-Lot parking lot because he needed gas. We're talking about a dirtbag marina rat. Who's never had more than 40 bucks in his pocket, and all of a sudden, he's got a Grady-White? Just saying." John B ended.
Pope suddenly got up, the group following after him, the boy picked up a fishing rod, JJ doing the same thing, before heading over to the docks. As John B and Kiara sat around Pope, JJ came up next to Delaney handing her the rod.
"Come on, just try it real quick. I'll help you." Delaney sighed and took the rod. "Now throw it back and cast it." He motioned the movement with his empty hands, to which Delaney followed. "Now you wait for the fish to get the bait. Once you feel it pull, just-"
"I know how fishing rods work." Delaney dismissed.
"Alright so think about it, Pope." The two listened in as John B worke'd on convincing Pope, "How does a marina rat get a Grady-White?"
Pope sucked in a breath before answering. "Prostitution." Delaney snickering at his answer.
"Square groupers, bro." John B held his hand out, beginning to count on his fingers as he listed off. "Okay, flying under the radar, no serial surveillance. They don't do that stuff during a hurricane." He pointed out to the large body of water in front of them. "What does that mean, JJ." He pointed to the boy, who was waiting for a fish to bite the hook.
"They were straight smuggling." JJ answered.
"Smuggling." John B repeated to Pope.
"Of course you would know." Delaney jested, causing the blonde boy to elbow her in her side.
"And I guarantee you, there's a serious amount of contraband in that wreck." John B continued.
"Hell yeah." JJ muttered in agreement as Delaney felt a tug on her line, quickly pulling back, turning the reel. "Fish on!" JJ called out as he helped.
JJ took the fish off the line, holding onto it tightly as it flopped around in his grip, trying to get free. "Hold it." He held the fish out to Delaney.
"Oh my God, JJ." Delaney said, backing up as it continued its rough movements.
"Oh, come on." The boy tried to convince. "Just touch it at least."
Delaney brought her hand up, holding out her pointer finger, bringing it close before flinching back, as JJ moved the fish towards her hand. She pressed her finger against the fishes wet scales before quickly pulling back, wiping her finger off on the boys shirt as she cringed.
"There, see, it doesn't bite." JJ suddenly let go of the fish, causing it to flop around in the air, splashing some water onto the two of them, before falling back into the water.
"JJ." The rest of the Pogues muttered in disapproval.
The group finished up on the dock and went back into the Chateau, sitting around John B's bedroom, JJ held out the money he and John B had found, causing Pope to reach over and grabbed it from his hands.
"For the record," He began, "if that is a smuggling ship, with illegal contraband inside of it, it probably belongs to someone else."
"Minor details." Kiara shrugged off.
"They could come looking for it. Taking it would be catastrophically stupid."
"Right. Well," JJ reached over and got the money back, "stupid things, have good outcomes all the time." He spread the money out, to emphasize his point. "All we need to do right now is to just figure out a way to get into the cargo hold of that wreck. Until then, we just lay low. Just act normal."
Pope sighed. "Right and how exactly do we do that?"
Kiara looked around the room as she got an idea.
"Kegger?"
THE BONEYARD HAD filled up with people since they first came in. The signature red solo cups in almost everyone's hands as they indulged in the beer the group had brought.
Delaney was wandering around mostly aimlessly, as all the other Pogues had taken off to do whatever, before spotting a familiar blonde girl sat atop a large red buoy.
"Sarah!" Delaney yelled as she began to walk over.
"Deley!" The girl jumped off the red buoy and ran over, the two girls wrapping each other in a hug. "What are you doing here? I went over to your house but your mom said you went out."
"Oh, you did. I'm sorry, I was out with JJ-"
"Oooh." Sarah teased. "Your sexy surfer boy." As the girl continued to poke fun at the girl, her boyfriend walked over from behind her, throwing his arm around the blonde.
"Sexy surfer boy?" Topper spoke up, tone laced with confusion, as Ryder and Kelce came up and joined them.
"Delaney's got a boyfriend, Delaney's got a boyfriend." Sarah sang, swinging their arms around.
"A boyfriend?" Topper's eyes widened, he had thought the girl was too much in love with Rafe to even think about another boy, but it turned out Kook King now had competition, with none other than a Pogue.
"Oh, hell no." Ryder sternly said, "I'm telling mom."
"He's not my boyfriend-"
"He will be soon. Now..." She took the girls hand, beginning to walk away from the boy. "You are telling me everything."
Delaney grinned, looking back at her brother worriedly as the boy stood with his arms crossed, tapping his foot as he shook his head, watching as the two girls walked away hand in hand.
The sky was dark and the moon was high Delaney finished up her tale of all of her interactions with JJ that had happened during the day, leaving out when the group had found the sunken boat, and all the information surrounding it. The two had gotten up, when JJ approached the two, John B a few steps behind him.
"Del, Del... Hey." The boy said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. " Hey, Sarah." He greeted, with a playful bow, showing off how intoxicated he had become. "Can I interest one of you two in a tasty Milwaukee beverage." He questioned as Topper cautiously approached them.
"I'm good, but Delaney would love some. Especially from you." Sarah poked the girl in her side, grinning.
"No, I'm good off beer, you know this." Delaney reminded the boy.
"Like I said, can't get used to it if you never try it again." JJ gave a prolonged shrug. "Or is it just not fancy enough for you two?"
"Hey, hey." Topper interrupted. "You know what- you know what I'll take it." He reached for the cup. "Thank you, man. I appreciate it."
"Uh," JJ began, pulling the cup from his grasp. "Nice for you to suggest that, Topper, but I didn't ask you." He took a step back, "Now if you said 'pretty please' maybe, but you didn't."
"Oh, pretty please." Topper entertained as JJ turned back to Delaney.
"So, Delaney, I swear, it's good-"
"JJ-"
"She doesn't want it." Topper slapped the cup, causing the beer to spill onto JJ, causing the boy to grab at Topper, John B quickly getting between the two.
"JJ, stop." Delaney reprimanded as Pope and Ryder came over.
"Dirty Pogues!" Topper called out in frustration, causing John B to get onto him now, shoving him back, as Sarah yelled out her objection.
"John B," Pope grabbed the boy, "We're supposed to be incognito, remember."
Topper had already began walking up to the boy, with Sarah failing to stop him as the boy swung his fist at John B's face, the surrounding crowd gasping as John B fell to the floor from the blow, trying to crawl away, which Topper wouldn't let happen as he walked over, kicking the boy in the side, as the crowd began to chant for them to fight, their friends cheering them on.
The two traded punches, before suddenly Topper got the upper hand, and began to hold John B's head under water, with John B barely getting a second for air when the waves pulled back.
"Stop him!" Delaney shouted as Ryder pulled her back from the fight, pushing her behind him.
The blonde boy suddenly walked over pressing the cool metal of his newly acquired gun to the back of Toppers head.
"Yeah, you know what that is. Your move, broski." JJ threatened as Topper froze, the crowd that had once been cheering, running off as they saw the gun in his hand, with the only people left in the vicinity being the two Rockwell siblings, along with Sarah, Kiara and Pope, all of whom yelled at JJ to stop.
"Put the gun down, JJ!" Delaney cautiously got closer.
"Did you say something, princess?" JJ called over his shoulder as he kept the gun pressed to the back of Toppers head.
"Put the gun down." Sarah repeated as Topper let go of John B, putting his hands up.
"We're good. We're good. Come on, man." Toppers voice shook.
"Del, can you check your psycho friend?!" Sarah frustratedly called out.
"Okay, everyone, listen up!" JJ suddenly yelled, raising the gun up to the sky. "Get the hell off our side of the island!" He shot two times into the air.
"Delaney, he's crazy." Sarah shook her head, as Ryder grabbed her forearm, pulling the girl away, not before calling out to the gun wielding boy.
"Stay the hell away from my sister."
