Summer 1989,
Learn To Deal With It.

Breakfast at Grimmauld Place was always busy the matriarch Aimee, threw slices of toast at the children. Each catching their share as if they had been doing this every morning for years. There was always more food leftover, as she would overestimate the number of mouths to feed.

Though Sirius and some of their children would easily have seconds. Phoebe often didn't look like she belonged in the Black family, unless people spotted her with her mother. She didn't resemble any of the Black family, with blonde curly hair and sweet blue eyes, she was every bit like her mother.

"Post is here," her younger cousin Max announced, walking through the hall, with four letters. The letters that she, her sister Rhea and cousin Laura had been waiting for.

Dear Miss Black,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Yours Sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress

"Everything alright, sweetheart," her father asked, she nodded he eyed his daughter cautiously, she didn't seem as excited as Rhea and Laura were.

She settled her letter down on the table, continuing to eat her breakfast. Aimee nudged her husband to not make a big deal about Phoebe's obvious nerves, Sirius turned back to his breakfast. While she understood her parent's concerns regarding Hogwarts, she promised that while ever she had her sister she'd be fine.

Phoebe had inherited a unique gift from her mother's ancestry, the ability to foresee the future. A seer, like her great-grandmother and many ancestors before her, everyone close to her knew and would often do anything in their power to make her feel comfortable.

Many times she often felt as though she had become an outsider. Struggling to control her vision and properly determine what they meant. It wasn't all bad of course there were many times when she saw sweet things, good things.

She had seen the surprise that James had gotten Lily, for their anniversary, she knew Lily would love it. She had seen a vision of their elderly neighbour, losing his wife after nearly 60 years of marriage, seeing how much he was hurting made her cry whenever she saw the couple in person, knowing what their fate was.

"We're going to be leaving for Diagon Alley, later this afternoon," Aimee announced

"What about Ethan is he coming?" Laura asked, wanting her brother to go with them,

"Yes, he's going to meet us there, I've got his letter so I know what he'll need this year, in case he's late,"

They left for Diagon Alley, her mother apparated to Diagon Alley, while the girls and her father, used a portkey to get there. Her mother never used them, claiming that they always made her feel sick, the girls hurried to get their wands from Ollivanders, Laura went first, the family waited outside while she got her wand.

Once she came back outside, Phoebe's mother Aimee took her cousin to get her robes fitted, her sister was next, Phoebe stood with her father. With a loud smash of glass bottles, from inside the store, Rhea was proving to be difficult to find her perfect wand.

"Hunny, are you sure you want to go to Hogwarts?" her father asked "you know, your mum and I are more than happy to homeschool you-

"Dad, I'm fine, I want to go,"

"I know, but even if you don't go till next year-

"I want to stay with Rhea," he sighed

"Okay, sweetie, I just know that with your visions, it's not easy,"

"I can't stay at home, because of something I can't control, I have to learn to deal with it on my own," Phoebe told him

"You never have to deal with anything on your own, you shouldn't have to,"

"I know, if anything happens I'll come home, I promise," he nodded, hugging her tightly.

She didn't lie to her father, she had to learn to cope on her own, her family wasn't always going to be there. She had been having visions for as long as she could remember, her father used to tell her how much she helped him during the war against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Though she never believed him, she was only three years of age when he was destroyed.

As the family had found everything they needed they walked towards the Quidditch Store where her cousin Ethan had gone to meet his friend Oliver. Everyone looked around them as they heard what sounded like a stampede of kids running through Diagon Alley. They collided with Phoebe her three sisters and her cousin.

"You'll be fine, I promise you, you're the best Chaser I know, aside from Ethan," a boy said, holding a girl close to him.

"What if I have an accident, this is my first game since-

"I'm on the field so is Ethan, we'll help if things get difficult," his words ease the girls nerves

"I don't believe it Oliver Wood, would risk losing for me,"

"Losing to you, Lou-Lou is a win for me,"

"Are you alright?" Ethan's friend Oliver asked her as he helped her up,

"Yes, do you like anyone at school? I know Ethan likes Penny,"

"For the last time I don't he argued,"

"No, I don't"

"What about Lou?"

"Parker? Nah, she irritating," she nodded smiling to herself a little.

As the family returned home, she proceeded to head straight upstairs, to write in her journal. She record everything she saw, in the exact same order, date, time, place, who they involved, what triggered it. Then should the vision ever happen she could note the timeframe, whether it happened in a few days or a few years she would know.

"Had another one again?" Rhea asked, leaning on her doorframe

"Yeah, only a little one, but it's getting better,"

"Good because I'm not going to Hogwarts without you,"
