Chapter 13
•Edited•
~Claire~
It was Halloween. Meaning Sirius and I have been dating for two months tomorrow.
I was currently at the famous Halloween feast with Lily and Camellia, eating pumpkin pie.
I would usually enjoy the sweet taste of pumpkin on my tongue, and the odd but joyful music playing, or more importantly, having fun with my two best friends.
But instead, I was stealing quick glances at the Marauders every five seconds, wondering where my boyfriend could possibly be.
After a few minutes I gave up on waiting and excused myself from the girls. Walking over to the guys.
"Have you guys seen Sirius?" I asked, taking a seat opposite James.
"No. He said he was going to find you?" James stated.
Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I let out a long, dramatic sigh and begin my journey, by leaving the Great Hall.
This is great progress.
It only took me a right, then a left, then a right and a staircase, before another left until I found him.
But not quite in the way I would've liked to see him.
He had a girl pushed up against the wall, his lips on hers.
Looking at the girl closer I could identify her as Donna Stull.
Letting out a rather pitiful squeak, I turned on my heel. Running towards the nearest exit of the huge castle.
This day has been fabulous.

~Sirius~
I was walking towards the Great Hall with the guys, who were all in deep conversation.
"I'm telling you Moony, if you can get Camellia, and Padfoot can get Claire. Then I can get Lily!" James exclaimed.
"Yeah! You can do it Prongs!" Peter squeaked.
Remus just shook his head at them.
"Speaking of the beauty, imma go find Claire," I announced, turning and walking in a different direction that led to the library rather than the Great Hall.
"How hard is it to say 'I'm going to'?! 'Imma' is not a word!" Remus called after me.
I chuckled to myself as I walked down the long corridor towards the library, where Claire said we would meet.
Turning another corridor, I spotted Claire leaning against the wall with her eyes closed.
Sneaking up on her, I wrapped my arm around her waist saying,
"Well hello love."
"Hey Sirius," Claire responded with a smile.
Not a very familiar smile if you ask me.
Maybe she was really happy or something?
Shaking it off I smiled back at her.
Pressing my lips to hers, we slowly found ourselves against the wall.
Only to be cut off by a squeak, that I must say was very adorable.
Turning around to spot where the adorable squeak came from, I found a flash of dark brown hair turn around a corner.
Odd.
Looking back to Claire, or who I thought was Claire, I spotted Donna.
Letting out a growl, which was more masculine than dog so stop making fun of me. I backed away from the smirking Donna.
"You didn't," I growled.
"Oh, but I did," Donna smirked.
"If you weren't a girl, I'd punch you," I spat.
Turning on my heel I stormed off in the direction Claire went. Leaving Donna to skip off the other way proudly.
Looking around to make sure no one was watching, I changed into Padfoot, or if you haven't figured it out, Snuffles.
I sprinted off to the tree near the Black Lake, that I knew Claire would go to.
~Claire~
I ran out of the castle and towards the Black Lake.
Collapsing in front of my favorite tree.
It was surprisingly warm for October, but that thought was quickly pushed to the back of my head as my eyes flooded with tears.
I thought he actually cared about me.
We dated for two months, that's longer than any other relationship Sirius Black has ever been in.
I can't believe I fell for him.
My body ached as I sobbed silently.
I was interrupted though, when I felt something soft on my thigh.
Looking down, I found Snuffles resting his head on my leg.
"Not now Snuffles."
I put my hand against his face and gently pushed him away.
Not even five seconds later, the same thing happened.
"I said not now."
He continued to ignore me and just laid there.
Sighing I looked up at him, revealing my bloodshot eyes, that were still filled with tears.
Snuffles seemed a little taken aback by my appearance, but he quickly recovered and sat in front of me, ready to listen.
"I can't believe I'm doing this," I muttered to myself.
Taking a deep breath, I looked up at the dog.
"Ok Snuffles, you ready to listen?"
Snuffles laid down on his side to show he was almost ready.
He looked up at me after getting comfortable, signaling for me to continue.
"So, Snuffles. I had a boyfriend.........do you know what a boyfriend is Snuffles?" I asked, questioning my sanity at the same time.
Snuffles seemed to roll his eyes, so I decided that maybe there was some magical dog in this world of magic that could understand humans.
Sounds logical enough.
Somewhere in between this, it had started raining.
And when I say raining, I mean pouring.
"Okay, anyway. I had a boyfriend, and he's more of the player type. I'll translate that for you. It's like you. You find a dog toy, you play with that for a while, but then you get a new dog toy that's even better, so you leave your other dog toy for the new one," I explained completely ignoring the rain. And Snuffles once again rolled his eyes but continued to listen.
"Anyway, he never stays with a girl for more than a week. So me being stupid me, thought that maybe I could be an exception. We dated for two months Snuffles, actually, two months right now cause it's midnight."
Tears were falling down my cheeks like a waterfall now.
"I suppose he found a new toy."
There was a growl from Snuffles, and I looked up to see Snuffles standing on all four paws and looking at me with a stern expression that practically spoke,
'Don't cry over an idiot like him.'
Nodding I stood up, using the tree for support.
"You know what? You're right! I'm not gonna sit hear and sob over a stupid boy! In fact, I'm gonna do the complete opposite! I'm gonna dance! I'm gonna dance in the rain!" I exclaimed loudly.
I removed myself from the shelter of the tree, and allowed the rain to soak my white t-shirt and jeans.
Removing my hair from its braid, I twirled around a little.
I felt the wind rush through my hair as I threw my arms out as I twirled.
My laughter filled the air, and the rain got heavier as it hit against my skin. But I ignored it.
Snuffles soon joined, allowing me to pick him up as I danced with him.
I laughed once again as Snuffles licked my face.
But, eventually my body grew tired, and I was forced to go back to the castle.
Saying a goodbye to Snuffles, I went up to the girls dorm. And fell asleep in my bed, falling into a wonderful dream.
