Chapter 18
•Edited•
~Claire~
I woke up with a groan as I stretched my arms behind my head.
Looking around at my surroundings, I realized I was in the Hospital Wing.
Memories of last night flooded my mind as I looked at four beds across from me.
Each containing a sleeping young man.
The first held Peter, who had a bandaged hand.
The second held James, who seemed to have a broken leg.
The third held Remus, who had fresh scratches all over, and he had a gash on his face.
The last held Sirius Black, who had a gash on his face and arm, and appeared to have a broken arm.
Pushing myself up, I walked over to his bed, collapsing into the chair right next to him.
His wavy black hair was stuck to his face, his chest rising up and down, giving him a peaceful look.
I wanted to wrap my small arms around him and join my lips with his, but I knew I couldn't.
He's a player, a heartbreaker, and a cheater.
And besides, he doesn't like me.
I pushed his positive qualities to the back of my mind, and brought forward the negatives.
He used me.
He made me think I was special when he really didn't believe any of the things he said.
And.
He almost killed me.
If he really is Snuffles, than he knows that we meet every time it rains.
And he knew that it was the full moon.
He also apparently knew Remus was a werewolf.
He risked my life!
I could've been killed!
I was brought out of my thoughts by a groan.
Looking up from my lap I came face to face with Sirius.
"Claire?" He questioned as he realized I was sitting next to him in the Hospital Wing.
I could tell he was remembering last nights events as he looked around the room.
"Are you ok Claire?" Sirius asked as he looked back at me.
I glared at him in response.
"Please talk to me," Sirius begged.
I sighed as I looked into those grey eyes I've come fond of.
Stay strong Claire.
You hate him, remember?
"Are you really Snuffles?" I questioned, my voice coming out a little raspy because of my lack of words.
"Yeah, though I can't say I really liked the name," Sirius stated with a small smile.
I could tell he was trying to make me forget all the thing he's done to me.
And it sure as heck wasn't working.
"You could've killed me," I spoke through gritted teeth.
"What? Claire I-" I didn't listen to anything else he said though, as it all clicked.
Every Black I've ever met.
Bellatrix.
Narcissa.
Walburga.
Even Regulus.
They were all so cruel.
Regulus's word flooded my mind.
"You've never heard of the Blacks?"
"Noble House of Black"
"Purebloods and Slytherins"
I looked up at Sirius with another glare.
But this one held much more anger.
This one held hatred.
Sirius stopped talking as he met my glare.
"Claire?"
"It all makes sense now," I started, "why all of the Blacks are in Slytherin. All purebloods. You're a pureblood, Black," I practically spat the name.
He noticeably flinched as I called him 'Black'.
"All the Blacks I've ever met were rude. They're all murderers, and Wannabe Death Eaters," I continued.
Sirius seemed to be soaking in my words.
"You're just like them Sirius. They say the Sorting Hat is never wrong, but it definitely was with you," I spat.
Sirius looked up at me with tears in his eyes.
"You should be in Slytherin, Sirius Black."
And with those words said, I stomped out of the Hospital Wing.
Oblivious to what I had just done.

~James~
"C'mon Padfoot!" I complained as I attempted to push him off his bed.
It had been a week since the full moon, and he's been all depressed since that night.
Remus feels bad about it. He thinks it's because he threw him against the tree.
Peter hasn't been here at all, he claimed his mum was ill.
But I know Sirius. And there is definitely something seriously wrong.
"Sirius," I said sternly, sitting on the ground in front of him so that he'd be forced to look at me.
"What happened after the full moon?" I asked, but it was more of an order.
".......She's right," Is all he said.
"Who's right? Sirius who's right?" I questioned worriedly.
"Claire."
I immediately stood up and swung the door open.
Rushing down to the Common Room I was lucky to get down just as Lily did.
"Lily!" I called.
She turned around at the mention of her name, but when she saw me she glared.
"What do you want, Potter?" Lily asked through gritted teeth.
"I need to talk to Clairesse," I stated.
She looked at me with a raised eyebrow, before going upstairs.
Making sure nobody else was in the Common Room, I waited patiently for Claire to come down.
A minute later, Claire was standing in front of me with her arms crossed.
"What is it Potter?"
I let out a growl as she stood there obliviously.
"What did you do to him?!" I questioned angrily as she continued to look oblivious.
"I have no idea who you're talking about, Potter," Claire stated.
"Sirius, Clairesse! What did you do to Sirius?!" I yelled.
Claire flinched, as nobody ever heard James Potter yell.
It shocked me honestly.
~Claire~
"-What did you do to Sirius?!" James yells.
I flinch at his tone, but the words soak in soon after.
Did I do something to Sirius?
Is Sirius okay?
Wait.
No Clairesse.
You hate Black and you will always hate Black.
"I don't know what you're talking about Potter," I stated.
I honestly don't know what he's talking about.
"Clairesse," James spoke calmly. No sarcasm, he was actually calm.
"Sirius has been moping around in his bed for the past week. He doesn't even go to classes. But when I asked him what happened literally ten minutes ago he said that whatever you said was right."
I froze as it suddenly made sense.
"They're all murderers and Wannabe Death Eaters. You're just like them Sirius."
I suppose nobody would want to be called a Death Eater or a murderer.
But if he said I was right. Then he thinks he's a Death Eater and murderer.
"Well. I was really mad at him for almost killing me, and I suppose I said he was a Wannabe Death Eater and murderer like his family," I mumbled.
"That doesn't make sense. Sirius knows he's not a Death Eater or murderer," James mumbled to himself.
And then he froze.
"Did you say 'Like his family'?" James questioned with wide eyes.
I nodded at him confusedly.
"Did you say anything else?" James asked in a worried tone.
"You should be in Slytherin, Sirius Black."
"Um. I told him he should be in Slytherin."
James paled as he stared at me with wide eyes.
"What have you done?"
