Chapter 33

•Edited•

~Claire~

"It's Christmas!" The voice of Camellia screamed.
"Yay! Christmas!" Peter squealed.
"Christmas!" Lily yelled.
"Christmas!" James followed.
"Christmas," Remus spoke nonchalantly.

"Oi! Some people are trying to sleep!" I exclaimed, cuddling into what I figured was Sirius but wanted to believe was a pillow.
"Claire! You're killing the Christmas spirit!" Camellia scolded.

Eventually I was laying completely on top of Sirius.

"I don't care! I shall stay here, with my boyfriend!" I said dramatically as I held onto Sirius like my life depended on it as Camellia and Lily tried pulling me off.
"No! Sirius save me!" I screeched as they each grabbed a leg and began dragging me off Sirius.

Sirius laughed and allowed the girls to drag me all the way down the stairs and to the living room where Fleamont and Euphemia were.

"You are the worst boyfriend ever!" I exclaimed as I was placed on the couch.
"You still love me though," Sirius said.

I grumbled in response. Glaring at the wall.

"Claire," Sirius said, poking me in the stomach.

I turned to glare at him as he continued to poke me.

"What?" I mumbled.
"You love me," He stated with a grin.
"Unfortunately," I admitted.
"What? How is that unfortunate?" Sirius asked, looking around the room at everyone for a response.

They all shrugged, holding back laughs as I pulled Sirius onto the couch next to me.

"Imma go to bed now," I announced, crawling into Sirius's lap and leaning into his chest.
"You don't want presents?" Euphemia asked with a laugh.

My eyes flew open at this, and I turned to the Christmas tree. There were double the amount of presents from yesterday.
"Okay. I suppose I can wait till after presents," I said, pretending to think about it when in all reality I was screaming inside.

"James? Do you want to give everyone yours first?" Fleamont asked.

James nodded and began passing everyones out.

James had gotten the guys pranking stuff, and stuffed animals that looked like their animagus form. Remus's being a wolf, which got confused looks from Lily.

The whole exchange was like this. The only big present that was received was when James gave Lily a cat.

Lily had screamed when she saw the cat.

The cat was orange, and even though his face was all squished, he was adorable.

She had named him Crookshanks. For no apparent reason. But it was a cute name.

But when it was my turn, that got some funny reactions.

"Charm your own cheese?" Peter mumbled to himself.

The three other Marauders burst out laughing at this.

"What?" Peter asked confused.

Remus whispered something in his ear, and you could see the realization dawn on him as Remus spoke. Causing Peter to begin to uncontrollably giggle.

The girls loved the bracelets, and Euphemia and Fleamont were ecstatic when they learned what a coffee machine was.

Sirius loved the cologne, and had laughed when he saw the custom cologne.

Wet Dog

James and Remus snorted, and Peter took a minute before laughing.

Once again, Lily stared at them oddly.

Moving on from that, Sirius gave out his presents.

But when it came to my present, I was definitely surprised.

"Sirius! We agreed not to get anything big!" I scolded.
"I didn't think it was that big. Plus I'm not not going to get you something nice!" He quipped.
"But I only got you a bunch of colognes," I moaned as I looked over at the bag of colognes.
"And I will use them for the rest of my life," He claimed.

With a sigh, I looked back down at the gift.

It wasn't that big, but it was definitely pretty.

It was a silver bracelet. A silver heart in the middle with silver chains holding it.

I allowed Sirius to wrap it around my wrist, and he gave me a quick kiss on the back of my hand.

Not letting go of my hand, he turned back to everyone else. Who had kindly returned to presents rather than watch us.

Probably Euphemia's doing.

After we finished presents, us girls made breakfast.

I made the pancake batter with Camellia, while Lily and Euphemia cut fruit.

After a bunch of failed attempts at flipping pancakes, Camellia took over.

So when it came to eating, I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the disfigured pancake as it was placed on Sirius's plate.

I giggled the whole way as I carried Sirius's plate to him. Who was talking to James, Remus and Peter.

"Sirius, you are the lucky person to receive my beautifully flipped pancakes," I announced as I set the plate in front of him.

Peter burst out laughing, and Sirius just grinned.

"They're beautiful, love," Sirius lied as he looked back up at me.
"Why thank you," I laughed, sitting down next to him and eating my own pancakes that Lily had just brought out.

"Look it's snowing!" Lily exclaimed, pointing at the window.

I let out a sigh as I caught sight of the white flakes falling from the sky.

Sirius patted my back as I grumbled. Him being the only one to notice my lack of joy as everyone ran to the window.

Everyone, including Euphemia and Fleamont, had gone outside in the snow after breakfast.

Sirius and I were left unnoticed as they all threw snow at each other.

Sirius and I made ourselves hot chocolate, and sat on the couch cuddling.

He had his arm around me. Leaving me to lean into his side, and we were wrapped in blankets.

"Happy Christmas, Sirius," I mumbled as my eyes fluttered closed.
"Happy Christmas, Claire," He replied, taking the hot chocolate out of my hand and placing it on the coffee table.

~Sirius~

I moved Claire so that she had her head in my lap. Her hand in mine.

I drank my hot chocolate with one hand, holding her hand with my other.

I watched her chest rise and fall. Her grip on my hand tightening at some points. Her pink lips parted slightly.

I knew for a fact I wanted to marry Claire.

I mean. I love her. And I know I will always love her.

I loved everything about her. From her small feet to her messy brown hair.

I loved how she snored so lightly you could only hear it if you were right next to her.
I loved how she mumbled when she was confused.
I loved how she always was willing to help others.
I loved her big round eyes, and her tiny nose.

Merlin I loved Claire.

Unfortunately my thoughts were cut off as the door opened, and Euphemia walked in.

She smiled at the sight of Claire and quietly walked upstairs. Most likely to change.

I set my hot chocolate down, and began to play with Claire's hair.

Euphemia came back shortly. And as expected, she was in more comfortable clothes.

"So, you think she's the one?" Euphemia asked quietly. Watching me play with her hair.
"Definitely," I stated, smiling down at Claire.
"She really does love you," Euphemia smiled.
"And I really do love her," I mumbled.

Claire's hand tightened around mine, so I squeezed hers back lightly.

"So, are you thinking about marriage?" Euphemia asked.

I looked up at her and smiled.

"Would now be a good time to tell you I've got a ring and her mothers blessing?" I questioned, knowing Claire was a heavy sleeper.

Euphemia's mouth dropped, but it was soon replaced by a huge smile.

"Only her mothers?" She asked, her smile not leaving her face.
"Neither of us are on good terms with her father. So I'm only getting one," I explained, frowning slightly at the thought of her father.

If we got married, she wouldn't have her father to walk her down the isle.

"You know, Fleamont could do it," Euphemia said, reading my thoughts.
"I'll let her decide," I stated.
"Oh I can't believe it! My little Siri is all grown up!" She squealed as quietly as possible.

I just smiled at her.

I was going to marry the girl in my arms.

Whether it be when we leave Hogwarts, or when Voldemort's finally gone.

Maybe we'll get married in six months. Maybe we'll get married in twenty years.

I don't care.

As long as I'm with her, I'll be okay.
