Chapter 48
•This story takes scenes from the Harry Potter series. I want to make it clear that I don't own those scenes. That's owned by

~Scarlett~
"Alright," Mrs. Weasley started, gaining the attention of everyone in the living room. "The Order's gonna be here soon. Kids, go upstairs and we'll call you down once they've left. If I catch you trying to eavesdrop, Fred and George, I won't hesitate to take away your allowance."
Her statement was followed by a series of groans as Fred, George, Ron, Hermione, and I dragged our feet towards the stairs.
"Wait," Mum called. "Scarlett, your Dad and I want you to stay."
"Really?!" I grinned.
"What?!" Molly exclaimed.
"That's not fair!" Fred and George whined.
"Calm down," Dad sighed, holding his hands up to silence us. "We just want her to sit through the meetings we know she can handle."
"That's offensive," I glared, pointing my index finger at him. "I'll have you know I can handle anything you lot throws at me!"
I felt an object hit me in the back of my head and I let out a dramatic wail as my hand flew up to hold my injured head.
"I'm dying!" I claimed, falling into Fred's chest.
"...It was a piece of parchment," George muttered, indicating to the balled up piece of parchment laying on the ground.
"Oh."
"You think she can handle one of these meetings?" Mrs. Weasley questioned, a doubtful look on her face as she glanced at me.
"This one, at least," Mum laughed, picking up the parchment and throwing it away.
"Mum! Why can't Fred and I stay?!" George asked, flailing his arms around.
"Because you're not old enough and your father and I don't want you listening to it!" Mrs. Weasley explained for what felt like the thousandth time.
"We're older than Scarlett and they literally just said this meeting was going to be easier to handle," Fred deadpanned.
"What's it like knowing I'm more important than you?" I bragged, sticking my tongue out at Fred.
He playfully glared at me, sticking his tongue back out at me.
"Is this their first fight?" Ron questioned as Fred and I glared at each other, a staring contest starting.
George gasped, "Couple fights to the death after the girl very clearly is claimed more important."
"Rude!" Fred scoffed, turning towards George.
"Ha! I win!" I exclaimed as Fred broke off our staring contest.
"Okay! Upstairs now!" Dad announced.
The boys and Hermione trailed upstairs. Nobody said anything until their footsteps had faded, but Mrs. Weasley unsurprisingly was the one to break it. "You really think she's..mature, enough for this?"
"Scarlett knows where to draw the line," Mum sighed. "She's very mature when she tries to be."
(AN: I accidentally spelt line 'libe' the first time and it autocorrected to 'lube'. Scarlett knows where to draw the lube.....someone send help).
I nodded in agreement. (No you didn't...)
"Okay," Arthur spoke up, "the Order should be here any minute."
We all gathered in the dining room, sitting around the large table. I was sat in between Mum and Dad. Quite an awkward spot if you ask me.
Soon enough older men and women were arriving that I, for the most part, didn't recognize.
I recognized Remus, Mad-Eye Moody, Dumbledore, and Professor Snape. Everyone else remained unfamiliar, and they were creepy enough that I definitely wanted them to stay unfamiliar.
Except for the women with the bubblegum pink hair, who was very clearly drooling at the sight of Remus.
"Didn't know Remus had a girlfriend," I whispered to Dad, who immediately started laughing. Mum reached over me to slap his arm, accidentally hitting me as she retracted her arm.
"I've been wounded!" I whisper yelled. Mum snorted, hitting my arm lightly.
Turns out Order meetings are quite boring. The whole time they were just discussing who was going to get Harry. Which I wasn't even allowed to do so there wasn't really a point in me being here.
The whole time I just sat in my chair, making jokes to Mum and Dad here and there. I wasn't allowed to voice any ideas, and I wasn't allowed to join in on any disagreements. I was pretty much there to be bored out of my mind.
Finally, after what felt like hours, they were dismissed and it was just me, Mum, Dad, Mrs. Weasley, and Arthur again.
"You could've told me those things were so boring," I complained, laying my head down on the table.
"Boring or not, you really ought to stay quiet during those," Mrs. Weasley huffed.
"She's not wrong on that one," Mum agreed. "You can't make us laugh in the middle of a meeting."
"Sorry," I muttered, not really caring all that much.
"Are you like this during classes?" Mrs. Weasley asked.
Mum raised an eyebrow and I tilted my head curiously.
"Sometimes, I guess? It's mostly Fred and George that do the joking in the middle of class, though," I answered honestly. "I typically talk with Alicia or Angelina."
"Would you say you have an influence on the way the twins act?"
I glanced over at Mum worriedly. I didn't really like where this conversation was going.
"That depends on what you're looking at," I said, huffing slightly in annoyance. "If you're getting at the joke shop, that was never my idea. The twins thought of it, and are awfully proud of it. They get every ounce of credit when it comes to the shop itself. All I've done is help with some products and add whatever fundings I can."
"You wouldn't even want your name in it?" Molly questioned.
"Lee and I have already told them the name 'Weasley' will be incorporated. So unless you're implying Fred and I should marry, then no, I'm not looking to have my name in it," I answered, ignoring Mum's face as her jaw dropped.
Mrs. Weasley's eyes narrowed on me. "I'm concerned that you're a bad influence on my children, Scarlett. I'm waiting for you to prove me wrong."
Ouch. That one admittedly hurt.
"Okay I don't need you telling my daughter whether she's a bad or great influence on your kids," Mum scowled. "Maybe you haven't noticed, but Fred and Scarlett are happy together."
Mrs. Weasley stayed quiet, stubbornly folding her arms over her chest.
"I'm sorry that that's what you think," I choked, genuinely hurt by her comment. "But I only ever try to make the twins happy. I don't mean to be a burden..."
Mrs. Weasley's eyes softened slightly, but her pride got the better of her as she just nodded stiffly.
"I, uh, am gonna go upstairs," I announced quietly, leaving the room with one last glance back at Mum. When the door closed behind me immediate yelling came from the room. I didn't bother listening, making my way up the stairs.
When I reached the top floor I pushed my bedroom door open, revealing Fred and George. They were just laying on the bed talking, so I wasn't worried if they were going through my stuff or anything.
"Hey, Babe," Fred greeted, leaning over to give me a kiss. I pretended to not see him, sitting at my desk chair. George and him exchanged worried glances.
"How was the meeting?" George questioned.
"Pretty boring, actually," I replied, lazily spinning the chair around. "I wasn't allowed to do much but sit there."
"Next time they have an important one we can test out those Extendable Ears," Fred said excitedly. "George came up with the name."
"Good name, but I don't think I'll join," I sighed. I wanted to. I really did. But Mrs. Weasley's words kept echoing in my head.
I really was a bad influence on them.
"The Scarlett Carina Black doesn't want to eavesdrop on what could be the most important Order meeting ever?!" George gasped dramatically, holding a hand over his chest in surprise.
"Who are you and what have you done with my girlfriend?" Fred laughed, but I could see the worried look in his eyes.
"I don't know," I laughed half heartedly.
"Okay...how about we prank Ron?" George offered.
"He's your brother," I stated.
"Is that supposed to stop us?" Fred questioned. "Cause blood has never stopped us from pulling a great prank."
"Well then how about tomorrow?" I offered.
Again Fred and George exchanged faces.
"Alright," George nodded. "Then would you like to work on some products?"
I felt a pang in my chest as he said this. I had had a brilliant idea during the long meeting and I just wanted to tell them all about it.
But my idea was more than irresponsible. I wasn't even quite sure if it was legal.
"I'm..I'm just not feeling it guys," I frowned, scolding myself for passing it off. "I might lay down for a little, actually."
"I'll lay with you," Fred offered.
"No!" I said way to quickly. My cheeks flushed and I rapidly shook my head as a look of hurt flashed across Fred's face. "I–I just mean I want to be left alone."
George exited the room with a wave, but Fred waited to be able to talk.
"Are you sure you're alright, Love?" Fred mumbled, brushing a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"That meeting just really wore me out is all," I faked a smile, hoping he'd buy it.
He didn't. But he let it slide.
"Alright," he nodded. "Well get some rest. I love you."
I just smiled at him. I was scared even breathing on him would corrupt him. Was I that bad? Am I such a bad influence that responding with a simple 'I love you too' would make him crumble?
I prayed he wouldn't notice my lack of a response. But judging by the lost spark in his eyes, he noticed.
I could tell he was scared to try and kiss me, so before I completely scared him, I gave him a small kiss.
He gave his signature smile — that admittedly made me a little happier — and wandered out of my room, closing the door behind him.
I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding and flopped down on my bed.
What am I doing?

*Dramatic gasp* wHo WoUlD'vE tHoUgHt?!? mOlLy'S a BiTcH?!?!
Yeah we all saw that one coming...
So I literally was reading this Newsies fanfic, minding my own business, when I was suddenly smacked in the face with the realization that I had to post something today. So I literally just threw this together within a couple hours or so...
Which reminds me, I was looking for some musicals on YouTube yesterday cause someone said you can find some broadway bootleg thingys there sometimes. I was finding some I may want to try, when suddenly I saw 'Toursies'.
Guys I went on the hunt to find a different broadway musical to watch and I just ended up watching Newsies again.
But in my defense it's different! Kinda! A little bit!
Some actors changed!
But my favorite part about it was that you could hear the smaller lines from the background newsies and I love that.
Also, freaking Anthony Zas was Spot Conlon and if that's not the greatest thing on earth then I don't know what is!
Honestly I don't know why I thought finding something else to watch would be a good idea. The Newsies cast and characters are my children. It's probably my favorite fandom outside of HP.
That's a rant I should probably write somewhere else though so I'm just gonna end this and get this published.
Love you! Hope you had a super fantabulous day! ¡Adios!
