Cop sirens. That's all you hear from the outside of your cracked window half the time. You never know who it's for, or what had happened, but you always want to know. It's the whole nosy thing that all of us humans have. Sometimes it's a good thing, like if you're supposed to know a secret, or sometimes it's a bad thing, like when you're poking around in somone else's business. But is being nosy about the cop sirens a bad thing or a good thing? The sirens are basically alerting everyone that there's something wrong at their destination, so wouldn't that make it okay? They could just turn off the sirens and not wake everyone up in the middle of the night. But then why do they close off the crime scene? Once the yellow tape goes up, you're no longer allowed to be nosy. So what's the point of all the crazy lights and loud sirens? There's no need to hype up the people who aren't involved.

Maybe that's why people keep secrets quiet. No one talks about it, no one hears about it. There are no sirens or lights when someone passes on a secret because, it's their own business. It's just a simple whisper, a lot of gossip, and a few problems.

Our city has a lot of secrets beneath the lights, sirens, and cracked windows. They aren't good ones, and being nosy will get you no where but down. So I suggest if your just passing, to leave as soon as you come, because with every police siren there's a secret. And it's not one that you want to know.
