Kol watched as Cassie walked out of the closet wearing a pair of sweat pants and the shirt she was gonna sleep in shaking his head knowing that Cassie is protective of her family and she now considers the pregnant werewolf family he also noticed the ring she'd slipped onto her right hand it was the protection ring that she had made for him which made him smile knowing that at least she'd be protected if things got messy with Marcel.

Cassie walked out of her room and met Elijah and Klaus at the door "Let's go boys"

Elijah looks at the blonde alien "are you sure coming along is wise?"

Cassie just smirks at him and held her hand up "protection ring... nothing can hurt me while I'm wearing it... had it made for Kol but they found a way to hurt him anyway but I had a modification made to it while Astrid and I were on Asgard I'm the only one that can take it off so I'll be perfectly safe."

The suit-wearing Mikaelson nods "Very well then let's go."

The trio makes their way to the abattoir, they walk into the courtyard and Klaus walks behind Felicia and snaps her neck. The whole room goes silent "Good evening! I'd like a word."

Marcel looks at the trio mainly Klaus for the time being "What do you think you're doing?"

Elijah looks around "It appears that we've interrupted a collection of filthy amateurs! We've come here for the girl. Give her to us, or we kill everyone here... starting with you."

Cassie looks at Marcel crossing her arms "that doesn't sound very pleasant so just give us what we came for and nobody has to die today" Kol stands beside his soulmate with a proud smirk on his face even though they can't see him.

Marcel takes a step towards them which makes Kol's smirk turns into a glare and the two Mikaelson boys ever so slightly stand in front of Cassie protectively "You three got a lot of nerve, coming into my home and making demands."

Klaus gives him a fake smile "Your home, is it?"

Elijah looks at Marcel and angrily snaps "The girl! I will not ask again."

Marcel looks back at Elijah "I assume you're talking about Hayley? Yea high, dark hair, bitchy attitude? Who is she, anyway?"

Klaus looks at him "She's an old friend. You know how sentimental I am about old friends."

Marcel looks between Klaus and Elijah "Well, I ain't got her. And before you start whining, I did pay her a little visit earlier tonight. I was feeling nostalgic, so I took a trip out to the plantation where I used to be a slave. And, imagine my surprise when I realized that the Original family of vampires had taken up residence. Your girl, Hayley, answered the door, we exchanged hellos, and that was it. You don't believe me? Look around. Hell, I'll even help you find her. But the question that I'd ask is: if Hayley isn't here, then where is she?"

Cassie glares at him "I don't like being lied to so all I'll say is for your sake you better not be lying to me, Marcel."

Klaus looks at the girl "easy Cass."

She just glares at him "I am very protective of my family and that now includes Hayley" the three of them are now sitting in the courtyard and some of the vampire fighters are milling around the compound.

Elijah is looking distastefully at them "Not the most attractive community, are they?"

Cassie bites her lip holding back a laughs as Klaus looks at his brother "You do realize they can hear you?"

Elijah looks at him "You do realize I don't care?"

Cassie looks at the older Mikaelson and laughs as Marcel appears, followed by some vampires, and the witch, Sabine "You know, Elijah, I liked you better in that box."

He turns to Klaus "But Klaus, my sire, you I owe the world, and I always show respect to my elders. If your special lady friend is missing, you could benefit from the help of a witch. And, since I control all the witches in this town, I'll grant you one little locator spell. Sabine's the best guide in the Quarter. Need to find someone? I guarantee, she's your girl."

Cassie rolls her eyes she really does not like Marcel and Kol smirks at the look on her face because he never really liked Marcel either.

Marcel turns to leave them to their business "Where are you going? "

Marcel turns to look at Klaus "I hate to cut this short, but the sun's coming up soon. My nightwalkers need to get inside, and I have got a city to run. I leave you to track down your lost sheep. "

Elijah looks at Sabine "Can you find her?"

The witch looks at him "I can try"

In the courtyard, Elijah, Klaus, and Cassie are crowded around a small table, where Sabine waves her hands over a map. As she casts the locator spell, a puddle of Klaus' blood traces across the map from their current location to where Hayley is being held in the Bayou "She's in the backcountry. Way up past Houma, deep in the Bayou. "

Elijah looks at the witch "I don't suppose you could be more precise?"

Klaus looks at his brother "What's the matter, Elijah? You're worried a bit of splashing about in the bog might ruin your expensive shoes?"

"As a matter of fact, after my recent confinement, I could use a decent stroll through the countryside."

Cassie snorts biting her lip she mutters to herself "well this is gonna be fun"

The witch looks at them "There are stories of exiled werewolves, encampments. If Hayley went out that far, chances are she went to find them."

"Clearly, she hopes to make the acquaintance of more like herself. I suppose our company wasn't good enough for her." Cassie once again snorts at that as Elijah looks at Sabine worried.

After leaving the Abattoir the trio continues their search for Hayley in the werewolf encampments.

Elijah looks around "We should head south towards the water."

"You seem quite determined to find the little wolf."

Elijah looks back at him "If I'm moving too fast for you, Niklaus, you're welcome to wait in the car. Do be certain to leave the windows down."

Cassie looks between them slapping a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing. "Ah, so I've touched a nerve? You've begun to admire this girl. Perhaps that's why you've been barking orders since your return, hoping to impress Hayley by assuming the role of family patriarch."

Elijah gives him a look "If you're going to insist on treating her like a walking incubator, then that's your mistake."

Klaus sniffs at the air and looks around, Cassie looks at him "what did you find Nik?"

Elijah looks at his brother "Have you found her scent?"

Klaus comes upon Tyler's SUV and starts searching through its contents and groans "No, but I found someone else's. This vehicle reeks of someone I thought I was rid of... Tyler Lockwood."

Cassie rolls her eyes "Well that's just great... just what I need right now to see Tyler freaking Lockwood"

Elijah looks at Klaus "And why would your little hybrid-sidekick from Mystic Falls have any interest in Hayley?"

"He wants revenge because I went after his girl."

Cassie snorted at that, she knew that Tyler and Caroline were broken up now, apparently, Tyler cheated on her while trying to break his sire bond to Klaus and Caroline found out and dumped him. But the blonde alien lets the boys handle this conversation and just stands back listening "Why do I suspect this is the least of your offenses?"

Klaus shrugs "Back when I had the means to sire hybrids, he was my first, Although, I didn't give him much choice in the matter." Klaus pulls a blanket out of the abandoned car and sniffs at it "He was loyal in the beginning, but he grew insubordinate, turned my other hybrids against me. I couldn't have that, so I massacred the lot of them. Tyler ran like a coward before I could finish him off."

Elijah gives his brother a look and sighs in frustration "Anything else that you would like to share?"

Klaus turns to him "Well, there was this business with his mum..."

Elijah looks at him incredulously "You killed his mother. Wonderful."

Cassie shakes her head at the two walking a little ahead of them letting them talk but she can still hear what they are saying "He needed to be taught a lesson!"

"And what lesson will you be taught, Niklaus, if he retaliates by harming Hayley?" Klaus looks at him "So you do care about her. Well, go on, then. Have at it, brother. Save her. Claim what spoils you can. I've sampled what she has to offer and let me tell you, she is exquisite--"

Elijah cuts him off " --Niklaus, so help me..."

Then trails off and Klaus looks at him "Enough. I'll kill Tyler Lockwood myself." Klaus vamp runs away to find Tyler.

Cassie and Elijah continue looking for Hayley in silence then all of a sudden Hayley lunges at Elijah with a knife he smiles "Forgive me! I thought you were in danger. It appears I was mistaken" Hayley sighs in relief and dives into Elijah's arms. The two hug for a long moment before Hayley eventually pulls away.

Cassie smiles seeing that Hayley is okay and that her future niece is safe as well. Hayley looks at him "You will not believe the crap day I'm having."

Elijah nods at her "We'll take you home."

He turns to leave with Cassie behind, but Hayley stops them "Elijah, there's something you need to know about the baby."

Hayley told them what Tyler told and Cassie rolled her eyes at Tyler's accusation that the only thing Klaus wanted from the baby was to make Hybrids, she knows that's not true. Elijah paces anxiously while he listens "Klaus must have known, that's the only explanation! He could care less about the baby. He just wants her to be born so he can use her to make more sired hybrids."

She looks at Elijah, and they share a look before Elijah looks away, troubled by Hayley's news but Cassie just rolls her eyes again "you can't seriously believe something that came from Tyler Lockwood of all people he hates Klaus and would stop at nothing to hurt him and don't you think that if Nik knew about this he would have mentioned it by now?"

But she gets ignored as Hayley looks at Elijah "Although... the way that Dwayne was acting... it was more like he was sired to me."

They both continue to think about the implications Elijah sighs "I should take you home."

"Are you serious? Home to what?" Elijah looks at her "Look, regardless of my brother's intentions, mine remain the same. I said that I would protect you, even, if need be, from Klaus himself."

"I can take care of myself. I've done it for a long time." Hayley gets up and walks away. After a moment, Elijah follows her.

Cassie rolls her eyes once again and sets out to find Klaus and she walks up, right behind Hayley and Elijah There you are! I see you've found our wandering stray. Perhaps you could shed some light on the situation. This" he kicks the body over "appears to be a hybrid."

Hayley looks at Klaus "His name was Dwayne."

Klaus looks at her "Well, whoever it was, I didn't sire him. Any idea how that's possible?"

Hayley stomps toward him "As if you didn't know!" Elijah holds Hayley back and walks in front of her to protect her from Klaus while Cassie walks over to stand beside Klaus.

Klaus looks at her unamused "Ahhh, well, aren't you two fast friends? Oh, come on, then. What kind of horrible accusation have you conspired to levy against me?"

Elijah looks at his brother "Tyler Lockwood brought Hayley here to test a theory." Klaus nods at him to continue "That the blood of her child could be used to sire hybrids. He claims that you knew that. Furthermore, that you intended to use this knowledge to build an army."

Cassie once again rolls her eyes but knows that they won't listen to her so she keeps her mouth shut as Klaus looks at his brother hurt and angry "And, of course, you assume it's true. I mean, why else would I show interest in my own flesh and blood? A heartbroken little crybaby points his finger at me, and my own brother falls in line, eager to believe it! How quickly you believe the worst, especially when it comes from her."

"Oh, spare me your indignation. When have you ever demonstrated any kind of concern towards Hayley or her child, beyond your own selfish pursuits? And what was it you once said to me?" He impersonates Klaus "Every king needs an heir!"

Cassie bites her lip trying to stay out of it because this is not her fight.

"My big brother. So, you doubt my intentions? Well, I can't say I'm surprised, standing next to the noble Elijah, how can I be anything but the lesser brother? A liar, a manipulator, a bastard." The two stared at each other as Klaus approaches him. Elijah seems to be reconsidering his position "That's all I am to you, isn't it? And Rebekah. And, judging by the way Hayley hangs on your every word, it's clear she feels the same way!" He pauses, looking, even more, hurt "No doubt my child will as well."

Elijah more kindly starts "Brother, if--"

But Klaus interrupts him "You've said all that needs to be said, brother." He steps back a few steps and holds his arms out in defeat "I'll play the role I've been given." He turns as though he's going to walk away, but instead, he turns back quickly and vamp-runs over to Elijah before biting him savagely on the neck. Hayley screams in horror and runs over to him Klaus wipes his mouth with his hand "You two enjoy each other's company. You'll have much to bond over, once the hallucinations and dementia set in. Consider that bite to be my parting gift to you both."

Klaus walks away and Cassie glares at Elijah "you always have to assume the worst when it comes to Nik, don't you? I mean seriously believing Tyler Lockwood about something involving Nik knowing how much he hates your brother? That's a new low even for you Eli... I mean hell I grew up with the kid and I wouldn't believe him about it so that fact that you would well I don't even know what that means for you but I do know that I'm outta here."

Cassie walked back to the house she sees Klaus with a glass of Scotch and she walked over and hugged the hybrid "I know that you didn't know."

He smiles slightly hugging the blonde alien back "you believe me?"

Cassie smiles "I'm your best friend Nik it's my job to believe in you even when nobody else does"

Cassie gives him another smile "Now I am going to bed it's been a long day"

Klaus nods at her "very well Cass I will see you in the morning."

Cassie gave him one last smile before walking up to her room she closes the door and puts her barrier around the room laying back on the bed, she looks at the urn on the bedside table "I know talking to you is useless because you can't hear me but it makes me feel better so I'm gonna do it anyway."

Unknown to her Kol is sitting right beside her and he laughed "You have no idea but I can hear every word and I like that you talk to me"

"You will never believe the day I've had ugh I'm exhausted and once again your siblings are at each other's throats not that I blame Nik for lashing out at Eli this time he did kinda deserve it" Kol chuckles just listening to her rant about the day.
