Cassie smiles as they walk through the Museum, Kol was smiling at her, one arm wrapped around her waist while his other hand was in his pocket feeling the texture of the blue velvet box in his pocket, it's why he wouldn't tell Cassie what all he was doing the previous afternoon because he was picking out a ring for the moment that is about to happen as soon as they get to the middle of the museum under the Lourve Pyramid, where his very unsuspecting girlfriend is about to get the surprise of her life.

He could've been cliche about it and done it on the Eiffel Tower but he knows Cassie isn't really the cliche type of girl.

The tour guide stopped right under the pyramid just as she was compelled to do and is pointing out and talking about the artwork on the walls Cassie feels a tap on her shoulder so she turns around to see Kol knelt down on one knee with an open ring box.

A smile broke out on her face as Kol spoke "Cass, there is nobody else in this world that I would rather spend the rest of my life with, you are literally my other half, my soulmate and I'm completely in love with you, so Cassidy Elizabeth Forbes will you marry me?"

Her eyes fill up with tears as the smile on her face widen "Yes, Kol you idiot a thousand times yes I will marry you" he slips the ring on her finger and pulls her into a kiss after they pull away Cassie smiles "I love you too" the crowd around them cheer and clap, as the newly engaged couple smiled at each other "that's what you were doing yesterday?"

He pecks her on the lips "yep, I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity, for a while.... your dad even gave me his blessing when we were on Asgard"

Cassie turns to him surprised "you asked my dad, over two months ago?"

Kol smiles down at her "I did, but I knew it was too soon then we had only just met in person, I still asked because I didn't know when I'd get another chance to ask him."

Cassie smiles pulling him into another kiss a big smile on her face, she laces her hand with Kol's as they finish out the tour of the Lourve. After the tour, they stop for dinner and head back to their hotel. Once the doors close Cassie grabs Kol by the jacket and pulls him into a passionate kiss.

The following day or well technically it would be afternoon Cassie opens her eyes smiling as she curled even more into Kol's bare chest "good morning."

She can feel the vibration of his laugh "well technically it's afternoon"

Cassie rolls her eyes "what time is it?"

"One in the afternoon" Kol answered his fiancé.

Cassie smirks up at her fiancée "whose fault is it that you kept me up?"

Kol smirk right back at her "you say that like you didn't start it."

Cassie smirks again but then in a flash Kol is hovering above her she pulls his head down and kisses him.

The newly engaged couple spent the next few days in their hotel room just wrapped up in each other.

Now Cassie is sitting with her head against Kol's shoulder as they are headed for the airport when her phone rings she smiles seeing Nik's name "Hiya Nikky."

He chuckles "the only reason you can get away with that name is because you are my best friend.... anyway, how's the world tour going?"

Cassie grins "I get away with it because we both know that there ain't shit you could do to stop me and it is going great like really great, we are headed to the airport then we're going to India, we're going to see the Seven Wonders of the Modern World."

Klaus chuckles "well you're going have to press pause on India.... you're needed back here."

Cassie rolls her eyes "why?"

"Well, it's been a busy few days our mother came back from the dead and is throwing a ball and she wants all of us there meaning Kol needs to be there, thus also meaning you need to be there."

Cassie rolls her eyes again "fine we'll be there soon."

Right when Klaus is about to say goodbye Rebekah comes up with a smile "is that Cassie?" By now the other remaining Originals have walked into the room as well as Esther.

The two that dont know who Cassie is, look confused and Elijah looks surprised that Rebekah knows Cassie.

Klaus rolls his eyes "yes Rebekah, it's Cassie."

The blonde Original takes the phone from her brother "well let me talk to her for a minute."

Cassie laughs "Hey Bex."

The female Original smiles "Hi Cass... soooooo how'd it go??"

Cassie chuckles "I dont know what the it you're referring to is, so you're going to have to be more specific."

The female Original rolls her eyes "okay so after you video called me on Monday after we hung up I may have called and demanded to know what the hell was going on which I then got filled in on the plan, so I repeat how did it go?"

The blonde alien laughed, she was not surprised at all that Rebekah would do that, "I obviously said yes... I will tell you all of the details when we get there okay?"

The original grins "okay, I can't wait, bye Cass"

Cassie smiles "bye Bex, we will see you very soon we just pulled up at the airport."

"Okay see you guys soon" the line goes dead and Cassie bursts out laughing "okay change of plans pause on India your presence is being requested back in Mystic Falls, which means that we both need to be there."

Kol rolls his eyes "okay then."

They get on the plane and Kol tells the pilot where to take them once they get the all-clear to take off Cassie and Kol were on their way back to the Richmond airport where they would pick up Cassie's car and head back to Mystic Falls.

Kol puts their stuff in the trunk of Cassie's car and they get into the vehicle Cassie is driving and Kol is in the passenger seat.

Cassie looks at Kol "we're dropping by my house first so I can shower and change and then we'll head over to the address Nikky texted me."

Kol laughs "alright my darling, let's go."
