"Kat it's time to get up" is the first thing Katerina Swan heard as her mother Renée woke her up from her slumber "Kat baby today is the day" Kat smiles sitting up in her bed.

Today was the day that Kat and her younger twin sister Bella were moving to Forks Washington to live with their father Charlie. Kat and Charlie have always had a close relationship ever since she was a little girl... after Renée took the girls and left Forks, Kat kept going to visit her father even when Bella stopped.

So, to say she was excited to be going back to Forks was an understatement. Now Kat loves her 'mother' to death, but Bella has always been closer to Renée than Kat and unknown to the 'twins' that is because Kat isn't biologically Renée's child and Bella is. Renée loves Kat just as much as Bella, but she didn't physically give birth to the girl.

Renée smiles at her "are you all packed?"

She nodded smiling back "Yeah, mom... I'm all packed"

Renee nods back at her "Why don't you go and help your sister get packed?"

"Course Mom... I'll be in there in a few minutes"

Renée walked out of the room leaving her eldest 'daughter' to her own devices for the time being.

Kat got out of bed and took a shower before getting dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans, and white off-the-shoulder crop top, a black tank top, a black leather jacket, and a pair of her signature black heels.

Once she gets dressed she, gets her hair curled to perfection in its perfect ringlets she grabs her suitcases and carries them downstairs to be put in the car then she walks back up to Bella's room.

"Alright, Baby Bells mom sent me in to help you finish packing."

Bella turns and looks at Kat with a bit of an annoyed look she hates that nickname almost more than she hates being called Isabella "When are you going to stop calling me that?"

Kat shoots her one of her signature smirks "When you stop being the youngest twin."

Bella gives her a look "which is never going to happen."

Kat grinned at her sister "Exactly so you are stuck being called Baby Bells, no matter how much you hate it."

Kat helps her pack the last of her things and they each grab a bag and Bella grabs her potted cactus. Kat looks at her twin "Really Bells the cactus?"

Bella nods "Yes Kat the cactus, to remind me of home."

Kat shakes her head at her sister with a laugh "Only you would take a cactus to one of the rainiest places on earth Bells."

Renée comes back in "All right girls come on or you're going to miss your plane"

"Coming Mom" Kat calls out to their mother as the girls walk down the stairs.

Renee looks at her girls as they come out to the car "are you guys sure about this?"

Kat speaks up knowing that Bella would be all awkward with it "Yes Mom... we are sure, we want to go and spend some time with Dad, so you and Phil can have some alone time."

They get in the car and Phil drives them to the airport. At the airport, Renée looks at them "Last chance to back out and come with us"

Kat pulls Renée into a hug "Mom, Dad is already expecting us."

Renée hugs Kat and pulls Bella into it to make it a group hug. As their flight gets called Kat smiles at Renée "One of us will call you tonight"

Renée nods teary-eyed "Alright be safe my babies... I love you, girls"

"We love you too Mom... now we gotta go" And with one last hug, Bella and Kat get on the airplane bound for Forks, Washington, and their father Charlie Swan.

Kat can't help the smile that forms on her face the closer they get to Forks, she's always loved it there. Just the peacefulness of the small town and not to mention that her best friends in the entire world, Paul Lahote, Jacob Black, Embry Call, and Quil Ateara live there as well.

Once the plane lands the girls get their bags and see their dad Charlie holding a sign with their names on it. Kat runs over to him dropping her bags on the ground and pulls him into a hug "I missed you, Daddy."

He awkwardly hugs her back "I missed you too kiddo."

While Bella's interaction with Charlie is a lot more awkward as Charlie loads their things into the trunk of his police cruiser. Kat is in the front seat leaving Bella in the back.

Kat just wants to laugh at the awkward silence in the car between Bella and Charlie. Charlie looks in the rear-view mirror at Bella "Your hair's longer"

Bella looks at her hair "I cut it since the last time I saw you"

"Must have grown out again" Charlie muttered awkwardly.

This time Kat does laugh as they pull up to the house "Oh you poor awkward people I love you both but how did I dodge the awkward gene when you two and mom all have it?"

Bella cracks a smile at her sister while Charlie just shakes his head knowing that she dodged it because she's adopted but he isn't quite ready to tell her the truth just yet. Charlie and the girls get their things out of the car and carry them into the house "I cleared some shelves off in the bathroom for you girls"

Bella nodded and muttered, "Right only one bathroom."

Charlie looks at his eldest daughter "Your room is exactly the way you left it last summer except I got you a new mattress and comforter it's red, silver, and gold... the lady at the store picked it out" he knew those were three of her favorite colors.

Kat smiles "Thanks Dad," She grabs her bags and heads straight for her room while Charlie is talking to Bella. Once in her room, Kat sits her stuff down on the bed and gets busy unpacking her with her abnormally fast speed she gets everything unpacked in 15 minutes where it would normally take 30.

Kat admires the comforter that is in three of her four favorite colors before falling back on the bed with a sigh of contentment. Now all she needed was to see her best friends that she hadn't seen in almost four months.

She closes her eyes for a few minutes before she hears a noise from outside that sounds like a car horn.

Kat gets up and walks downstairs, Bella hears her sister, walk down the stairs, and follows her outside where they see Billy Black. A wide grin spreads across Kat's face as she runs into Jacob's open arms "Jake!!"

The boy smiles back at her as he lifts her off the ground in a hug "I missed you, Kat"

"I missed you too Jake... god it's been almost four months"

The boy smiles adoringly down at the girl who has been his best friend since they were kids if he were, to be honest, Kat was like another sister to him "Yeah four months too long"

Kat grins back at him "Well lucky for you, I'm here to stay this time."

Bella smiles, it makes her happy seeing her sister this happy. Charlie smiles at his girls "Bella you remember Billy Black"

Bella nods "Yeah... wow you're looking good"

He smiled at the younger Swan "I'm still dancing, I'm glad you girls are finally here, Charlie here hasn't shut up about it since you told him you were coming"

Kat cracks a smile "Well nice to know you missed us daddio"

Charlie chuckles "Yeah, keep exaggerating and I'll roll you into the mud"

"After I ram you in the ankles." Billy retorted.

Then the two men started to play fighting in the driveway. Kat chuckles and turns to her sister "You remember Jake, right?"

Bella nodded, she did remember him but just a little bit, "Yeah... the three of us we used to make mud pies together when we were kids"

Kat grinned at them "Actually you two used to make them and I'd throw them at you"

Bella looks at Jacob "are they always like this?" she was referring to their fathers.

He nods "It's getting worse with old age" Kat laughs.

Charlie and Billy come back over and Charlie pats the orange truck "So what do you girls think?"

Kat looks at him "About what?"

 Charlie points to the truck "This is your welcome home present I just bought it off Billy here" 

Kat smiles "Well as long as I don't have to walk to school... it's fine" Kat turns to her sister "your driving."

Bella chuckles lightly at her sister "Okay."

Jake grins at Kat "I totally rebuilt the engine, for you two."

Kat grins back "Nice!"
