Twenty One
I told Jane everything I knew. But it doesn't help much. Neither of us knew why. But it seemed she didn't have to torture him. She stared and then the eyes closed at him.
Odd thing. What is she ...?
"Quiet, let me focus." She instructed us to back up.
Huh?
"Oni... what the hell is that?" She opened her eyes. "And I thought Wendigos are a pain."
Huh? Why she said that? She lets go of the Guide. Woah! She knocked him cold. How?
"Kid, I can read minds. His was very loud. Like yours. It wasn't hard to know. So, you're an Oni."
I guess I am. I don't know what it means.
"So you're a foreign monster. There better not be a living version of yourself running amok. These cannibal Wendigos are a pain in my ass for the last decade. Last thing I need is another group of monsters threatening me."
I'm a monster? Granted that I have a horn. But a MONSTER?
"Mikasana, I can walk," brother said.
"What? But monsters are bad! No way, I'm a monster." I then let brother stood away. "How?"
. . . "Don't ask me how. This place is weird. In my thirty years here, I am always surprised. This is a strange world. Some how, I ended up with the worst encounters."
Oh. She... wait! Thirty years! She's old.
"I'M NOT OLD," She pouted. "I'm middle-aged. Geez. Kids these days," she commented. She went up to the bad Spirit Guide and socked him as he awaken. And unconscious he went. She is mad.
