Chapter 6.

KBR Company.

Siyeon stomped into her workspace with a resentful mood. She was driven to the company every day, but today she had to take a taxi.

The reason is because Kim SuA did not come to pick her up, at 9 am she did not see the familiar figure at the door anymore, she picked up the phone to call assistant Kim but there was no answer.

What the hell is SuA doing, oversleeping?

Has SuA just received her first month's salary so she starts neglecting her work?

It's been over a month since SuA joined KBR. Every day passes peacefully with the director and assistant relationship. SuA takes Siyeon to work, goes to lunch with Siyeon, sometimes takes her to relaxing places like coffee shops, massages, exhibitions or shopping, and then takes her home. Sometimes Siyeon will create some scripts to get SuA to sleep in her house again, and still in her bedroom.

She argued with assistant Kim that she still hadn't found her room key, so the only usable bedroom in the mansion was her bedroom.

And so she did, pretending to be a habit, holding SuA's hand during her sleep. SuA didn't question it either, so Siyeon gained momentum, taking it for granted as an assistant's job.

- Handong, go find Kim SuA right now - Siyeon growled during the call.

"She's off work today, have you forgotten? she asked for your permission 3 days ago"

- What? – Siyeon opened her eyes wide, her mind began to search for memories.

"That day, you went with me and SuA to have lunch together, SuA asked you to take a day off because of her own business, you nodded in agreement."

Siyeon froze for a moment, checking her memory. It took her a long time to remember that lunch time, it was true that she unconsciously nodded at SuA's permission. At that time, she was busy enjoying a delicious meal, so she did not pay much attention to SuA’s absence from work.

Now she is extremely concerned. Siyeon didn't expect that SuA's day off from work made her so restless.

Why is SuA asking for leave, what is she doing, where is she?

Siyeon tried to calmly handle some of the company's priorities during the day, then picked up the phone and called SuA at lunchtime.

"Hello"

- Kim SuA, what are you doing?

"Siyeon, I'm busy, I’ll see you tomorrow"

- Where are you? – Siyeon wrinkled her forehead, she heard the engine sound next to SuA, SuA must be driving.

"I'll talk to you later"

SuA's hang up sound like a hammer hitting Siyeon's chest. Even if it's just a small thing, the fact that SuA is not interested in her also makes her a little sad.

Siyeon put her face down on her palms, today was the first day she didn't see SuA and she had such unnecessary reactions. She blamed herself for being too emotional.

From the moment she met SuA for the first time until the two of them met again in KBR, she never relied on such emotions. She lives very rationally, she is very good at hiding her true feelings.

But in the last month, things have changed, she feels more emotional around SuA.

She found ways for SuA to come to KBR to work with the purpose of making SuA love her like in the old days. But now in reverse, she was the one who wanted to fall on SuA first. Without SuA a day she could not bear.

Siyeon had a very hard day at work, it was 8 hours like any other day, but today was especially longer. She counted every minute and every second so that the day would end as quickly as possible.

Because SuA will come to her house tomorrow morning to pick her up from work.

Walking out of KBR headquarters, Siyeon received an invitation from Handong

- Let's go to dinner and then go home, I see that you are a bit tired today, what's wrong?

How close is that friend, to what extent so are they staying in a hotel together?

Siyeon's urging made the taxi go faster, she was slipping out of her own composure, thinking nothing was going to make sense.

There was only one person who made her so unsettled.

Arriving at the Chase Hotel, Siyeon rushed inside the lobby, her face so tight that she couldn't relax. She saw SuA sitting alone in a chair in the middle of the hall.

- Kim SuA, what are you doing here?

- Siyeon, why did you come here? – SuA stood up to face Siyeon, very confused in her heart.

She and Siyeon are just people in a working relationship. Siyeon coming here to see her like this is really strange.

- Who do you plan to stay in the hotel with, what is that person's relationship with you? – Siyeon always ignores SuA's questions.

- I came here to keep an eye on a person for my friend, her husband is having an affair here.

- Huh?

SuA took ten minutes to explain the situation to Siyeon. SuA’s friend is Seungyeon, she suspects her husband is having an affair and asks SuA to track down the evidence. SuA lives a very loving life, always for her friends, so she took a day off work to help Seungyeon. She had been following Seungyeon's husband since morning until now and found out that he was staying in this hotel with his lover.

While waiting for evidence and waiting for Seungyeon to be on her way, when SuA heard that Siyeon would come here to meet her, she was extremely bewildered. After all, what does Lee Siyeon want?

Siyeon breathed heavily after hearing SuA's story. SuA is still the same, still living to the fullest for her friends. Kim SuA of the past too, her friends are grieving about something, or need help with something, she will always be there and help. Once she got up in the middle of the night and ran out of the house to help her friends, and that night Siyeon slept alone until the next morning. This happened and Siyeon  shouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, it helps to reduce the negative thinking that SuA is staying at a hotel with someone. Siyeon smoothed her hair to find calm, she lowered her voice to talk to assistant Kim.

- You took the company car to track people's adultery...

- You told me that I can use the car at any time, except when I have to drive you.

- When are you done?

- Probably……ahhhhhhhh………….

Siyeon panicked when she saw SuA being pulled by a middle-aged woman, she quickly stopped.

- What are you doing? - Siyeon shouted.

- This one stole my husband, I have to deal with that bitch - the other woman looked very aggressive, continued to charge at SuA, but was stopped by Siyeon in the middle.

Siyeon gently pushed the other woman away.

- You got the wrong person, calm down.

- It can't be wrong, it was she and my husband who entered this hotel - the other woman held out a photo of evidence.

Siyeon squinted her eyes, this photo was taken from behind, the back figure, her clothes are quite similar to what SuA is now.

- It's just a human-like person, you can't take a close-up picture of her face to slander me - SuA looked at the photo and said annoyed, she smoothed her jet-black hair.

- Speak carefully, she is my lover - Siyeon declared loudly.

When she went out to the sidewalk, Siyeon let go of her hand, she said coldly.

After more than an hour, the black car stopped in front of director Lee's mansion.

- Good night, thank you for helping me just now. - SuA got out of the car with Siyeon, standing behind her as she was about to enter the house.

- I didn't say that to help you, that's what I wanted - Siyeon calmly turned to face SuA.

- I want you to be my lover.

SuA held her breath, what did the other person say……?

She couldn't believe Lee Siyeon could like girls. Siyeon looks very stylish, always has long pointed nails, straight aura, even though there are no guys around her, but SuA has never thought of this case.

SuA's expression became much tighter, she didn't understand why Siyeon knew her old story, even the story was misrepresented.

She was set up by someone in Seoul bank and accused of stealing money from customers at the bank, that's why she had to quit her job there, because she was too embarrassed to have any face left to work at a bank in Seoul.

Siyeon retracted her tongue, she knew that SuA was wronged, SuA was not guilty at all. She also knew that SuA was the one who applied for her own leave, not fired. And everything because Kim Yoohyeon  did it with her direction.

She already knew all of this, but her smug mouth just now insulted SuA.

Because Kim SuA kept quiet with her confession that made her unable to calm down, she accidentally said something she shouldn't have said.

This time she went too far.

- Hmm.....you can't answer right away, it's okay, I'll wait……hmmm…..I'm coming in – Siyeon changed her attitude, stammered and ran into the house.

SuA breathed heavily, still angry at Lee Siyeon's slanderous statement, she got into the car and went home.

She looks like someone who craves money? she really likes to work and earn money, but it's not like that

And what does Lee Siyeon mean? confessing her love as if she wanted to give, where her sincerity is? SuA can't see.

The next day, SuA was at Siyeon's house to take the director to work.

After trying to get in touch with Siyeon for a long time, SuA called Handong, who could solve all her problems.

Siyeon looked at the phone screen after the call, her bewildered face was clear.

She still didn't realize what she needed to do.

After 2 days, Siyeon still stayed at home and didn't go anywhere, didn't go to work, she just texted Handong to report everything. About food, she has Park Jihyo to take care of her, she doesn't need to go anywhere and still lives well.

But her morale was bad, because she was choosing to avoid her own problems.

Suddenly she heard the doorbell ring at dusk, through the camera mounted outside, it was Kim SuA.

Siyeon stood on the first floor, through the window, she kept watching the small figure walking back and forth in front of her house. She had no intention of opening the door.

After half an hour, Siyeon looked at the clock and got bored, Kim SuA was extremely stubborn, she was still waiting and patiently ringing the bell. Hearing the ringing of the bell hurt Siyeon’s ears.

She had to come down to see SuA.

SuA's legs want to break because of her stupid decision.

She and Lee Siyeon are just an employee and boss relationship, there's no need for her to come here in this dark. Yet she skipped dinner and drove straight here. She knew the news that Siyeon had been sick for a few days through Handong's words, she admitted that she had worries in her heart.

She wasn't as angry as before.

She is very calm now, she can face Siyeon to speak clearly.

Luckily, her patience paid off, and Siyeon finally came down to open the door.

- Hello - SuA tried to put on a friendly smile.

- …………. - Siyeon said nothing, crossed her arms.

- Handong said you were sick.

- ……………………..

- Are you better, have you been eating good lately?

- ……………………

- Well…hmm….after all, you have a 5-star chef by your side, I'm sure you’re well fed.

- I came here... because I wanted to talk about the day before.

- ……………………

- Actually, I'm not stealing money from customers at Seoul bank, I'm being ensnared.

SuA shivered, looks like she was being followed by the girl opposite.

- Invite me to dinner tonight, Chef Park will prepare - Siyeon turned to go inside the house.

The quiet SuA followed, eventually the times when she asked Siyeon to go out to eat to make up, ended up eating at Siyeon's house, cooked by Chef Park.

Siyeon went ahead, the corners of her lips curling up in a triumphant smile.

Kim SuA didn't agree to be her lover, so she had to do something to put the responsibility on SuA.

She has a plan.
