They say that after a separation, g u y s:
1. Would party and hook up;
2. Would drink like there's no tomorrow;
3. Would not care at all;
4. Would not cry.

They say that after a separation, g i r l s:
1. Would cry their eyes out;
2. Would get a haircut / or a new hairstyle;
3. Would go shopping;
4. Would invest in another guy but resist to fall for him.

All these things may be true but also:
1. Both feel some kind of emotion (may it be hurt or glee for being free from the arguments and doubts);
2. Both already gave a piece of them selves;
3. Both already made memories (that they'll probably miss at some point after the break up);
4. Both invested something and may or may not regret it.

It shouldn't be justified by other people because only the couple was part of the relationship. It is them who will go through the process of separation and moving on. It is them that truly know what happened to them and it is only them who get to choose what will happen after everything.
